Amazing game, havent fallen in love with a crawl since stone soup. id really love to see more from you guys, rogue fable 4 when?!

jumping into a pit at a bottom floor kills u instantly. Also pro strat on the crystal golems use reflect and the projectile will bounce back and forth until the enemy is hit lol

I had a lot of trouble with the big pit rooms, until I realized jumping into the pit just takes you to the next floor.

@archerbob It is a feature that mobs follow you up stairs, not a bug. My #1 tip for new players is pay attention to terrain - it causes guaranteed critical hits. If you are really stuck, there are plenty of gameplay videos on youtube that can show you how to play each class.

3/3 weapon mastery. 20 strength. +6 to melee. Still doing 3 freaking damage in an attack. What's the point if you make the variables so ridiculous? Definitely a massive drop off from Rogues Fable II in terms of mechanics.

Necromancer best class or beginners... u can summon skeleton to help u, u can drain alot of HP from monsters & transfer it back to MP by canabalism skill. + any skills From other mage classes will help on late levels. ps. sprint - best choice to run away in hard times

If you want an easy win for the badge, I recommend the storm mage. I tried all the other classes but all the rest at late levels seem to have a hard time. On the other hand, the storm mage has enough range for all the enemies, has stun if they come to close, can hit multiple enemies with one spell WHICH can be used again instanly to finish the job. And all of these from a safe distance. Just focus 2/3 on focus and the rest 1/3 on spell casting. Try to pay for talents points if possible and enchant his weapon when opportunity arrives.
*Note: Do not use electric spells when you are in water because they can damage/kill you. Learned it the bad way...

and then suddenly 15 ice golems appear and no amounnt of resistance and evasion could save me from the wall of ice bombs every turn

@GSerg A Ranged weapon category was added in the steam version, and it has made the ranger even more OP. For this version as a ranger it is normally best to enchant your short bow, and wish for something other than weapons. If you happen to find a longbow, congratz on the easy win.

It feels like the Archer is at severe disadvantage when it comes to asking for weapons with the well of wishes or the scroll of aquirement. The bow is in the "Weapon" category, where 90% of the items are melee weapons. So when going for "Weapon", the Archer has 90% chance of getting a melee weapon which he doesn't want.

I mean, I get the point of variable damage, but I feel like it could be slightly better done. A bow that's been enchanted twice shouldn't be consistently scoring hits of 2s or even really scoring 1s at all, at least, that's my opinion. Other than that, great game, 10/10 can't stop playing

I just had the weirdest experience ever. I went down into the core, cleared the first floor.
I got to the 2nd floor, first 3 steps pit trap. Mkay. First three steps again, pit trap. I fall into the 4th floor, in the stone door room... survived BARELY. Pretty sure game tryn 2 kill me.

@Vleetonk A potion of healing or HP fountain also removes the effects. ID is an incredibly powerful tool, if used correctly. Don't use it on groups with blinking enemies, and use skeletons to protect yourself. Pair it with an ability like sprint and you can easily decimate large groups. It is also useful to kill individual enemies like crystal golems.

Necromancers taking damage from their own infectious disease is nonsense. Unless you have a charm that removes physical ailments it's literally impossible to survive. What good is an ability that gives YOU, the caster, 40 turns of 6+ damage DOT?

If you have Cold resistance, you cannot be slowed by frost, which is a game changer. Yet, if you have Toxic resistance, you can still get poisoned which seems unfair. I believe Toxic resistance should prevent poisoning like Cold resistance.

@Flanker37 if you hold down the shift key you can walk on any dangerous terrain
lava, fire, poison clouds, mushrooms, traps, etc.

@HolmeBolme Food is guaranteed to drop on floors 4, 8, 12, 16, with every merchant (floor 9) and the 4th floor of side dungeons. Food is used at a bit less then 1 per 4 floors, so there should always be enough. If you are running out of food the most common reason is resting too much - try and reduce the damage you take by using the terrain.

If i could post a picture here it would be of my lvl 19 ranger 1 block away from trophy with 0 hp because i decided to kill rather than click....

Apparently, what you need most to conquer the underworld, is a solid packed lunch... I keep dying from lack of food :'(

NOOOOO!!! I just got to the room with the crystal chests and all the bookshelves when I fell into a pit trap. I was getting attacked by archers so I teleported and ended up next to a bunch of storm mages and died.

Well. Casting a spell transfers the HP from the target to me on an icetroll which reflects every attack to the attacker, then a turn later charming it, then dying two turns later is unforgettable. My face staring at the monitor...

I think there is a bit a lack of balancing between each class... 426 tries to beat the game with Warrior but only 29 with the Rogue (I thought it would be the hardest class to finish) and 53 with the Ice Mage (that was the weakest class for me)...
