its really depressing when a veteran TD player can't even beat level 1. maybe if I knew anything about what im placing down then i might have a chance. but i don't. You just "overlooked" that minutely huge aspect of the game, along with the fact that when you release new units a.k.a. cars, release them plain, not with sum healing thingy on them. It makes me frustrated at the fact that I don't know any idea how much health they have, and i never got to kill one. -5/5 in every aspect except visual design

In addition to the items others have mentioned, I would really like to see a stats page so you can tell where you as far as getting the trophies. 4/5, but could easily be 5/5 if at least some of people's improvements are implemented.

So basically another "One tower" defence game. Get lvl 5 upgrade and only cash upgrades, build only tesla towers and you can win every lvl easy, if you can't you deserve to lose.

I've seen a lot of critique and suggestions already and i agree with most of it. One point of critique i have to add is that once you get the heatray tower (unlocked after the flamethrower), the game becomes completely trivial. An improvement i noticed is that the exp/ level up system is a lot better than in part 2, where you had to beat the game multiple times over before you got the levels to unlock the last couple of towers.

wishlist:mouseover popups on towers, better "next wave" button, and better placement support. If it's shown green, I should be able to place a tower. Also, no placement of towers BEFORE the startline.

dictator developers get 1/5's from me. You make the game regardless of the flaws that the players have clearly pointed out to you with well enough time to do it

You're send now button is a little whack. The current wave will be toast, and it still won't show up until a second before the next wave will be here anyway. When it does show up, it stays until the next one starts, so sometimes I end up with two waves at once.

So you pretty much don't need any other tower than the heat wave tower (the more powerful laser tower or whatever it is called). They basically one shot anything, and if it doesn't, the penguins get stunned and die anyway. Lot of towers to use, but no point in using them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just like Frontline Defense 2, the lightning tower is the most cost-effective tower and doesn't need to be unlocked. Except in this game it can stun.

Ugh, when I click a tower that I'm about to buy, I can't cancel out of it? I tried to click on another tower to buy it instead, but it sticks with the old one. Lame.

This game allows me to do what I kind of like to do in TD games- build an elaborate maze (or a pretty pattern) out of the cheapest towers, and let them blast the **** out of everything. Other than that, there's really not that much that makes this game interesting. The basic towers are cheap enough that I can build quickly enough to stay ahead of the waves, they are powerful enough that I don't /have/ to upgrade, and the rest of the towers are useless enough that I don't have to worry about diversifying. My rating: 3/5. Mostly because I think the penguins are cute.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm pretty good with this game, but there is this really annoying thing where a single penguin will stop moving and all of the towers will stop firing.

this has the potential to be a great game, but you NEED to add things like everyone else seems to be saying! especially considering the first game didnt have it either, it really shows you dont listen to what we want (which, for a dev, is not exactly a good thing).

Sorry man, I played the other ones, but from what I've read of the comments, I'm about to hit the back button on my browser; no reason for me to play the same game as before just to get pissed off at the annoying points all over again. Multiple tower placement, stats and description for towers, and don't ignore your supporting fans are my only requests. Gotta be careful, or former fans are gonna press the back button on their browser : /

Okay, hotkeys... guys... really. NOT a big deal. I don't use them when they're there and I get along jsut fine. In fact, I find it cumbersome (sp?) to try and memorize them all.
HOWEVER!
These things DO need to be cahnged, especialyl three generationsinto this game: Level 2 is ridiculously hard for a second level. You should be able to beat the first few levels without ANY level replaying. Second, for God's sake, YES! WE NEED TO SEE STATS AND EFFECTS! Seeing names isn't quite so important. But I saw the lightning tower and didn't have ANY clue what it was - I thought it was a freezing tower considering the range. But really, hotkeys AREN'T that big a deal people. Maybe they'd be helpful to you, but they aren't worth rating low for. ~Cheden~

Plenty of people have complained about no hotkeys, shift placement or stats but, personally, I think a bigger problem is not being able to cancel towers. It really is annoying. Another vital thing missing is a menu button in-game. I'm not sure how difficult these things are but if it's above your station then maybe think about asking an adult for help.

You need to add hotkeyts for shift and alt and etc........ Will make the game much much better, game is kind of boring moving with mouse gets kind of boring..
PLus if u agree!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Like many others, I rated this game lower than I would have liked to (3 instead of 4 or 5). A 3rd generation TD game with no hotkeys, missing stats on towers, stats only available upon clicking, no intuitive way to deselect a selected tower, no way to even tell what stats we can see until we have the money for them... Many small issues that when added up detract from the overall gaming experience. I've always liked the Penguin TD games as a whole, but tedious clicking where not absolutely necessary and hiding info from me gets pretty old =(

A fun, but very flawed, game. Which, as many others have pointed out, isn't as excusable in the third iteration of a game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can understand the commenters and disgruntlement with issues raised in previous games not being addressed here. But! I haven't played the previous games, and I thought this was fun! It's by far one of the better TD games, it has humor, fun, and progress, and it's not too difficult! It's playable, and that's what counts.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Two things. 1) As previously stated, there are GLARING (note how I put it in caps to make it GLARE) pieces of the game missing. I won't even restate them because every other post has it. 2) Anyone complaining about the difficulty should probably stop playing games, because you must be mentally retarded. Seriously, someone talked about a steep learning curve? If you throw a ton of any tower out you win. Really tough learning curve.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
its ok baloons is better you get to place multipul towers (i think so) i would rate it 1/5 the one star is for the efort u dident put into it (vote up if u agree to any of those!)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
They didn't actually improve on the first one. I mean really, listen to player comments Armor Games. The first was a 4/5 the second a 3/5 and this must be 1/5. It is only because you DON'T LISTEN TO PLAYER COMMENTS!
