hint: hold left mouse button while you move over your matching coins. You will get resources super fast without thinking ^^

Ok, first of all, there is no menu in battle, so no option to restart or leave it. Secondly, you cant repeat the areas you already fought at. Thirdly, the enemies in 2nd battle area are already too difficult for regular soldiers (summoning 50 soldiers at once to see them get cut through like a butter by 10 or less enemies...). You cant interact with buildings you build in town. Only good thing about this game is the idea, however its executed quite horribly.

Cool concept, but got lost in all its errors as already mentioned. I'd like to add to the list the fact that you can only start the same level with the same resources - basically, if you win a level while short on resources, you are screwed in the next one - and possibly will have to reset the game. I couldn't build all my structures because i finished the last level without the money required to do so, and there's simply no way to get more money or replay previous levels. 2/5, and it's a shame, because I can see the potential in this game.

Tried and true strategy. Send Priests. When they are 2/3 of the way there, send the cataphracts. Build up resources and repeat. Game over. Simple

I really like this game but I found a glitch in it. All yo have to do is hold down the mouse button and drag across the resources without having to click at all and you get like litteraly hundreds of each.

here do I start? this game is pretty bad, the graphics are poor, the upgrade system is more burden than help and its too expensive. Put a little more effort in next time you try to make a game.

The theory that the AI has the same units is false. I tried it and ended up against longswordsmen, archers, and catapults vs. my swordsmen!!! maybe they updated it or something, but it works better now.

2/5: I usually won't rate a bad game. A novice developer making a bad game is one thing. But this was a perfectly good game ruined by incompetence (the matching upgrade system is laughable). I don't think we do the developer any favors by sugar-coating it. With relative ease, this could be made into a 4+ star game if they get the message loud and clear.

is it just me or does someone have it to because the AI doesnt have the same unit selection. I didnt upgrade just swordman then they owned 100 swordman with 3 rows or longswordman

i can see a good game comingforth from this. its a very nice try :) ill give it a 4 for possibilitys. or how ever ya write it xD

To test the theory I started a new game and played until about the 8th or 9th level without upgrading. It actually got easier and easier as I progressed. Don't upgrade anything and play the sliding game until you have a good number of troops stored up (20 in the early levels, 50 or 60 later on) and just send them all at once. Once they're on the field, return to the sliding game to rebuild your resources. (Holding down the mouse on the unit button was a godsend.) Pretty easy victories within a few minutes per level. Unfortunately it takes all of the interest out of the game.

i dont understand why you whine about that glich with holding mouse in bejewele-like mode... If you dont like it just dont use it! o.O
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nthing the comments on having the AI scale independent of Upgrades and I would also suggest not having the AI spawn everything at the same rate and have units return some resources when they walk of the map and do something about the spell crystal overload deal.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the bejeweled part works well but as already mentioned level scaling makes it kind of useless ti upgrade and some balancing issues with the priest
3/5 for the little timesink :D

This is a strategy game. Need to be tricky.
Priests can easily killed with magic or with own priests.
Really, not need kill enemy priests.
Just wait until they pass and send own troops in counterattack.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
1) The priests are killed by magic. Spells always kills the strongest units first. Also priests can be killed with own priests or with fast units under protection magic (nature).
2) There is no need to send hords of units against priests. Simply let the priests past, take the 1-5 lives hit, and then counterattack with units of your own choice.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
1/5 i would really like to give it 5* but those priests are way off. the enemy sent 5 (!) priests and i spammed about 300 footman. not even 1 priest was killed nor attacked at all. a single priest could take out 60 soldiers which is about 12x its own costs on different resources. w/o market 60 footman would cost 420g and a priest 15g so basically, just buy all gold between rounds to spam priests. please fix their attack speed. make it 1/4th and those are probably fixed. + if you agree priests should be way weaker

Don't developers realize level scaling takes the fun out of a game? There's no reason to even play because everything you upgrade only makes the game harder. If AI units had nothing to do with your upgrades this game could actually be fun.
The spells are stupid since you can't directly control which units to hit.
Different unit types are pointless since you can't really control where they're dispatched. Also, priest beats anything. There should at least be a counter unit to priests. At the very least do a paper, rock, scissors balancing system and don't make certain units insanely expensive.
I like the concept of making a puzzle game to save up resources, but it's been done before, and the flaws of this game make it unplayable.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
AI comes with the EXACT same selection of units, as you have, so why upgrade??? it' easier to stay just with the basic swordsman...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There is more than 1 flaw in this game
1. since the enemy can only build what you can in each level there is no reason to upgrade your town at all, since upgrading (especially to get priests and spells) only makes it harder and takes more time to win each battle in comparsion to just use the standard unit.
2.the glitch bereaver said really makes the slidegame pointless
3. getting priests avaiable makes all other units pointless cause the priest just wipes them down before they can even attack him, so if you or the ai got an priest on a lane where the otherone got none this lane is lost till you get a priest there.
4. getting spells = more different crystals in the slidegame for in my opinion not enough benefit, makes getting spells not a good trade.
Overall this game is good, but the upgradesystem is bad since it mostly makes your life harder than helping you to beat the later levels.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You should be able to go back and beat past levels again for more resources. I came to level 4 and was unable to win no matter what i did since somehow, I would never have enough coins. I had more than 300 of every other resource than coins... And the guy on level 4 keeps spamming priests who kills 15 soldiers each, and I'm unable to do the same. Other than that, fine game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Almost a great game. 2 things missing. First, hotkeys for units. Second, unit balance. Archers are basically worthless (cost 2x a footman but much weaker), and priests are basically unstoppable with their insane range and damage. Maybe give archers better range, so they counter low-hp priests but lose to high-hp footmen?

Something about all the lightning, fire, explosions, and the grunting in the background makes me feel powerful. Then there is this almost peaceful music playing... Why?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
But now I find, it's a little bit too easy to cheat. You should not allow someone to hold down the mouse button and glide around the board making limitless matches.
