This game is very close to excellent. It needs several tweaks. 1) The balance between heroes is way off as several people have noted 2) It would be good to be able to buy a limited number of spells or icons to reset the board or buy guards rather than only waiting for 4 in a row. 3) A more detailed stats page would be fun too. I hope there's a new version in the works.

To fix balance issues: If you give the mage more guards she kills less and gains less xp. Whoever you're having problems leveling (probably the warrior or knight) give them LESS guards and they will gain more xp and level faster.
This is such an interesting genre mesh up. I want it work so badly, but there is some balance issues. Maybe a new and improved King's Guard 2? Plz! :D

It needs a "Send Next Wave" button. For me I kill all the enemies quickly then I'm sitting around for 10 annoying seconds waiting for the next wave to come... And if you do that enough times you waste a lot of time.

In the horseman's defense, his Charge emblem is pretty much a one-hit KO for all the monsters on his lane... Does he benefit from any other assets? no -_-

additionally, some skills that can be leveled up by spending gold would be good. i take almost all my equipment from the gold boxes, and have tons of gold left over with nothing to do with them.
a hp bar for the guard would be good too. none of your guards or heros can die in order to get the gold trophy for each level, however guards die w/o me even noticing it, a hp bar for the guards would be helpful so that i can replace those dying guards and get my gold trophies

gets a bit boring after a while, some addition skills when leveling up might make the game better. agree with the balance issue. mage is overpowered while the other two are under powered - getting exp from guard kills would help

Needs a sequel where it is more balanced. If are finding the game hard keep redoing levels until you level up a few times then try again. only give the mage 1 or 0 units. give the horseguy loads and the other guy few. + this commment to get a sequel and an improved game.

If you're having trouble with the hard badge, just keep re-doing levels and getting higher ratings. It'll click randomly.

I wish there was an option to stop heroes from levelling, so they don't get less hp when they lvl up or less leadership....

i was expecting something special for the final wave of the final level but no just the same few monsters over again. it would have been a nice touch to have a boss. overall a nice game. the last few levels drag a bit and there's balancing issues but a fun concept. 4/5

Innovative concept, rated 5 because I want to see a sequel. After 15 levels the game became a bit tedious though, it felt like grinding. The game loses focus from the battlefield and becomes more of a pure gem-matching game. Maybe adding spells that aren't bound to heroes weapons, but a mana pool, would be an idea?

there is definitely some balancing issues as so many others before me have addressed. i understand a ranged hero would have certain advantages over non-ranged heroes. but NEVER should a stat decrease or get worse after leveling and should almost never remain unchanged after leveling. and given the mage's inherent advantages, the other heroes should be given something to better balance them be it more leadership, hp, and/or attack. having one hero be so much better and one being so much worse does not make sense in game where where the enemies are on a fixed line and the heroes are in a fixed location. if you could move the heroes to different tracks during the game it would be more excusable. this game is not a FPS, it is not meant to be realistic. it is a bejeweled style puzzler combined with a fantasy style castle defense.

The cavalier has definitely seen his better days. His hair is already gray and he gets weaker on every leveling. At this rate he will show up in battlefield on a wheelchair.

don't know what you're all complaining about with the ranged mage having the best attack, if you take modern warfare, its the ranged attackers that suffer the least damage, with the footsoldiers suffering the heaviest losses. in my opinion its more realistic than most other games.

the cavalier/horseman has horrible leveling, im pretty sure he leveled 7 times and had +0 on all 3 stats, not to mention leveling the weapon tiles you can put on the characters on behind each guard is rediculous, im just glad they didnt give a badge for the achievement of maxing out all three weapon tiles because that would deservedly be an impossible badge

Too slow! After level 14 I just stopped because it takes like 25+ minutes to end a level, and the difficulty doesn't really increase.

Small glitch... only happened a couple times but occasionally there will be 3 like tiles in a row that do not combo (if you try to move a fourth into line it rejects it as if it were a wrong tile). This seems to happen when there is a chain reaction after something like the purple-vial-thingy item is used... maybe a resources issue?... good tho 4/5

Hi guys - I got in touch with the developers of this game, a russian team known as iriysoft - they weren't aware of the issue. I have told them, and shown them the comments here and they said they will look into it. We should have a fix inbound in a couple of days :)

great game, only real problem I've come across is that if you lose the wall sections completely for a guard type it still tries to require you to use it. if it is the only "move Option" you are stuck.

So, in this country, you have to slide buildings around to empower the city's defenders. In doing so, you destroy those buildings. And, every once in a while, one of the "heroes" will consume dozens of buildings at once. Remind me not to move there.

Can anyone explain to me why my horseman is losing health while it is leveling up and my arch mage thing is gaining a ton?
