@Sak there are a lot of ways outside of levels and natural refills to gain energy which drastically cut down that set time. Level 140 is much harder to achieve compared to 50k puzzles because exp needed vastly outscales xp gain until the exp needed stops increasing. Xp gain increases by about 22-25% per level for me atm, xp required is increasing by 60%. Only a total of 15 people in game on our servers have reached 140

@Naud you severely UNDERESTIMATED the time. The bottleneck comes from the energy, because you only have a small chance to encounter random events (around 20%?), and you have to encounter specifically puzzles out of puzzles/questers/allies/traders (25%). And within the 4 types of puzzles, you have to encounter those that are not trivia or treasure chest (50%). So even if we assume, generously, out of 25 energy spent, 1 valid puzzle is encountered, and you solve it correctly 100% of the time, you still need 2500 energy, and assuming no refills from level ups, that would take 2500x4min/60 = 166 hours, which translate to ~21 workdays using your standards. On top of that, if we further extrapolate this, then the impossible badge actually takes 28 work-years, longer than Kongregate has existed. There is not one person in this world who has played a game that long. So yes, it is in fact, impossible.

@bakkart even as a medium it's still way underrated, the corresponding easy badge took me 10-15 minutes. and this one takes 20 times longer. definitely worthy of the 'hard' rating imo.

I really thought we were gonna get the "Fresh Adventurer Badge" from last time (April 10th, 2023), but not only is it a different badge, it's a medium badge. And not just any medium badge, but a grindy medium badge. I've sometimes earned medium badges in 15 minutes and often in 30 minutes, but this one takes a full workday. Not worth it!

Last time I spent 9 minutes and did 2 puzzles. Another 98 puzzles would take me 441 minutes or 7 hours and 21 minutes. No way. I have enough BOTDs to get my shiny Kongpanion this week. I should have used that reason yesterday to not waste an hour on that game.

Faster BOTD: you're interested in Opening the Puzzle boxes, so in the Town Map select the lowest lvl area, go there & spam Attack-Explore until you see the Puzzle Box. In a new browser window open Dream World puzzle solving tool page. Now with the windows side-by side you can insert the values from the game into 'The Hunt for 4 Green Buttons' or '4 Color Box Solver' & click solve. With other encounters you can either skip or choose the fastest resolve like Bashing the chest or talking to The Wise Man. Buy Energy for 0 from Guardian. Take breaks to rest your eyes.

Just figured out that this is not an easy badge but a medium, which seems appropriate (but perhaps bumping up against "hard"). So my apologies for my earlier complaint. Still, for a Badge of the Day, it's a bit much.

These badges of the day are becoming a stress test for game ratings as we respond to terrible BoTD the only way we can: lower the game's rating and hope it never pops up again, even when it's an otherwise sort-of-ok game. I feel bad for the game designers... They might be the biggest losers.

To expand on what randomboy839 said: to restore energy for free (assuming you're low enough level), click Guardian in the bar of blue buttons and you'll see an option to "Refill your energy" on the top left.

By what stretch of the imagination is this an "easy" badge? As others have noted, the sheer time involved is rather prohibitive. I had a headstart of sorts since I evidently accumulated 45 puzzles previously, but even then after 15 more I'm going to give up. It's just too much.

As someone who already had this badge because I've played this game enough this is an absolutely trash choice for BOTD, for the second day in a row (I don't have yesterday's one because I read the comments and just noped out of there). Come on BOTD person. What are you doing?!? Why would you put this badge into the BOTD rotation?

Oh, oh, oh no - screw this. A totally random (and rare) event generator based BotD? C'mon guys. I thought the 06/21/23 BotD was bad enough (needing to get accepted into a Guild in a mostly defunct game)- not cool. Especially not for a new Kongpanion...

As long as you're under level 70, you'll have free energy, so the most efficient way to get the 100 puzzles badge is to run away from everything except puzzle boxes. If you have enough gems, you can buy the puzzle decoder and solve them immediately by pressing D. If not, use this site to get the answers for you: http://www.dream-world.50webs.com/

No need to "come back later and do it again", below level 70 or so (from what I've read elsewhere, and it holds true at level 7 at least) you can refresh energy for free. So you can basically do the entire lot in one go.

BOTD should have been the Brains Over Brawn badge so that new players could just play the game and follow the questlines and solve puzzles as they go. The Sherlock badge is basically "click Explore 10000 times until your energy runs out, then come back later and do it again"

Okay...let me get this straight. Not only is it a total crapshoot whether I will even be able to ENCOUNTER a puzzle while I am endlessly, tediously grinding through this game, let alone be able to solve it, but you've arbitrarily decided some of the puzzles don't even count?! And you expect me to do that ONE HUNDRED TIMES IN ONE DAY?! SCREW. THAT. ONE. STAR.

OK, found it. Apparently you need to click on one of the triangles with the ! in them. I tried clicking on one of them in some area yesterday before posting my message and it gave me some error message like "Sorry, but you're not powerful enough to enter this area" so I logically assumed that ALL such areas were too powerful for me which is not the case. If anyone's feeling the same frustration I did, click on, for example, The Marsh in Lakeview and click on Explore in any unlocked area to have a chance of encountering a puzzle. BOTD, here I come...

Sorry, RIP, but telling me that I find puzzles in most places is completely useless. HOW do I find puzzles in most places? I currently have Junkton, Emerald City, Phoenix, Metreon, Oceana and Lakeview unlocked. Pick one of these that I can access puzzles from (please specify which you're choosing) and give me a walkthrough on what I need to click on to get a chance of encountering a puzzle. OK, I've got 2 days left to solve 100 puzzles of which I've apparently done 32 so far. I haven't played this game in years, when it only had 4 badges, so I've long since forgotten how to do anything in this game. Apparently you solve puzzles by finding them in the wilderness? OK, great. All I need to do is go into the wilderness and WHAT the? There's nothing ANYWHERE that I can find that says "Wilderness". Where do I find it and how do I enter it? Once I'm there, what do I need to do to find these puzzles to solve? Thanks in advance for any help.

Space seems convenient for exploring but I wish there was an option to disable it. Easy to leave when typing an answer for Wise Man or without loot when freeing a slot in the inventory. :(

Interesting how of two games made from the same developer, the one I liked more didn't get transferred over to HTML5 while the one I liked less did. /shrug

Yea Naud, it kinda stinks, but one hour on wiki and you can vape the whole day in 5 minutes...... ONCE you have bought all the stat boosts from the healer. Yup, totally birdbrained design issue. Because of the price increases between levels it's best to NOT play at the start, for like two weeks. The only true limited event is Easter right here anyway, everything else is level locked. Sign in, get your eggs and crystal, leave, repeat.

Oh my God, this game is so boring! You just click attack while looking at an unmoving picture of an animal. It probably gets slightly better later on with skills, but still boring. This is not gaming. You only live once, play a real RPG like Skyrim instead.
