Let's put $200 in perspective.
WoW, all expansions, and 1 year+ of game time (in the developers words, a "long long way" indeed). Or a Nintendo 3DS XL. Or 4 AAA release-date titles. For $20 more, you could get a GTX 770.
But you know what? Check out the Humble Bundle if you want to know exactly how far $200 will take you. You'll be swimming neck deep in generally decent (and some notable) indie games for YEARS, AND YEARS. Hell, $200 in Steam Games alone with weekly & weekend sales has more value (and sure as hell more fun) than gold for some copypaste browser MMO.
This is a joke.

Wow, this game is way too complicated. There are like a million different buttons and I have no idea which to press. Needs to be simplified a bit for new players to not scare them away. 1/5 rating.

I really hate games with no tutorials. No, I mean, this isn't a tutorial: the game just forces you to click wherever the green arrow is pointing, and you can't escape it. What about general advices in the corner of the screen, or giving me quests to complete, rather than forcing me to click at stuff I don't even understand? 1/5

you guys should have just restarted backyard monsters not take it down for good. this is the most i can say without bad language

No it is called greed. Real gaming companies make games you don't have to pay to win, real games are competitive at every level. This new wave of pay to win and the retards that support those companies make me sick.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Pandemic88, yes I do understand it's marketing. What I am calling kixeye greedy for is the fact that they expect people to pay $200 for something that will do nothing but give someone a small advantage of 3 months.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
[Quote@liammagoo]Yeah, $199.99 for 2.4k gold already shows that Kixeye learned nothing and are still greedy as ever.
Umm... 2.4k gold is meant to be used for the more lengthy research, repairs, and upgrades. That's why it's so expensive. I don't think they expect you to waste it on pointless level 1 stuff. That, or it's for that die-hard fan that's out there who wants to shell out money for the creators. It's not greed, it's called marketing strategy.

Ah good old Kixeye. They milk you for what they can, never update the game, then take it down when you complain about bugs and lack of content/updates. (backyard monsters)
You certainly don't have to pay, but 2.4k gold does go a long, long way. We have many less expensive gold packages available, and we see many successful players at high levels who have never spent a dime. Gold is a convenience, not a necessity.

It would also be convenient if you could move your base next to others in your alliance, instead of some random freinds.

would be really nice if you could upgrade a row using resources instead of needing to use the gold coins. Sure you can upgrade the walls individually with resources, but who really wants to upgrade 200 walls individually?

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate everyone involved in the Kong+ beta and will work to take your suggestions into account. We do encourage healthy discussion about Battle Pirates and value constructive feedback.

Demanding a completely new server simply for Kongregate is the equivalent of demanding a completely fresh Earth at the time of your birth. Guess what, you're not Adam. You're human #10,000,000,000th. Deal with a world full of older humans than you.

I don't understand the hate for facebook servers. So you can't be #1 in two days, BIG FLIPPING DEAL. Get the **** over it, people. It's a great game, super enjoyable, and after going past Outpost 5+, resources start getting slightly hard to collect. I really love having multiple, independent, fleets that can conduct their own battles, doesn't require you being there but you can still join battles. One building upgrade at a time kind of sucks, but you can have multiple upgrades occurring.
This game is developed by the same people who did Backyard Monsters, so already scored some points here.

Backyard Monsters was a really really nice game in my eyes. I had a lot fun with it ( lvl 50, over 50 outposts under control ). They upgraded it with stupid shit and stopped it short after on Kong. I tried this game now just because i liked Backyard Monsters. But it sucks! You can do nothing, you farm tons of recources in no time but you cant use them. Just 1 building upgrade at the same time is a roundhousekick in the face! And a bunch of other points i dont like!

Pay to Win on an already established game that makes it easy to prey on new players. Searching even causally shows it's glitchy and hacked to high heaven. Give this one a pass.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yea this is a little dumb, you get thrown into a game that is already full of level 30+ players. Additionally while your base cannot be attacked during your initial safe time, your fleet can so there are a bunch of high level guys roaming around attacking low level fleets, you cannot refuse to fight and you cannot run, all you can do is die and loose all the resources you were in the process of gathering.

I'm constantly having to refresh because of glitches. If this has been on facebook for a while, why haven't they fixed the glitches before they launch here? If you're gonna have a pay 2 win game, that you're making players stuck way behind other sites, you definitely need to polish out all the glitches first.

Facebook server, no chance to compete unless you want to spend the cash equivalent of a house.
For thous of you who are masochists that enjoy being kicked into the mud this may be a fun game.

guys yes this game is on facebook already but be glad they got this on kongegate. Yes this dev removed the last game backyard monsters but here always is a chance. He could be looking for a chance, meaning he migh not delete it to show you can trust him and the good thing is you can start fresh here in facebook there are way tomany high lvl's
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's already on facebook. Starting on this game means you're way behind everyone else. It's your typical browser empire builder style game where you have clans and go to war with others and blah blah blah. If you've seen this kind of game once you've seen it a million times. The only difference being there's no separate kong server so you have no way to compete with higher level players.
We thought it would be a better experience to let players play on a server with other high-level players who can also help them out - alliances are always looking for more members and our players will often help new players by opening cargoes for them, etc. And, you're protected from being attacked by high-level players while you level up.
We also have real-time combat, which if I may say is pretty darn cool and something that other browser "builder" games don't have. :)
