Hmmm... taking the Yugioh setting and arts, but ripping off most of the tactical depth/gamemechanics? Sorry, I don't like that. The concept isn't that bad (exept energy), but as somebody who really liked those "old" card games, I feel a little cheated.
Well, there are Yu-Gi-Oh! Games out there that stick to the Official TCG rules. So rather than just being a copy of those we created a slightly 'lighter' version of Yu-Gi-Oh!. A lot of players don't like it too complicated. Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM is a good mixture of a casual game and core game if you're a 100%-Hunter (getting all stars, collecting as much cards as possible etc.)
Just give it a try and you might love it as well.

i wish it were more like the original. 5 monster sections and 5 spell sections ._. i havent went far enough to see if theres feild spells but id love for a more accurate game. the basics seem spot on, just not the number of cards able to be on the feild or cards in your hand, drawing. etc.

Did you know? We here on Kongregate.com will not pay you only to be able to play for longer then 5 minutes. Your game will be forgotten and rightfully so. I refuse to wait another 100 minutes to play again for five minutes with the alternative of paying to play. Get bent.

I really like the concept of the game, it's very original and unique, originating from one of the best card game in the world. But this masterpiece is ruined because of the energy system, don't get me wrong, it's still enjoyable.

Hey, this is a Kongregate MMO. It would be boring if they had real Yu-Gi-Oh here, cuz it could take around 15 minutes to end a single game. If you wanna play "real" Yu-gi-oh, then go to Dueling Network.

Is a good concept, thoug I assligly disappointed tht it wasn't like the card game :/ Still fun. The whole energy system needs work though, too.

It's really annoying to only be able to play for a few minutes because of the energy system. It seems like if you want us to actually PLAY the game, it should be taken away or drastically improved. Otherwise we will only be able to play for a few minutes and inevitably get sick of it, or simply forget about this game.

Yeah, you know those kreds you expect people to use to buy stuff. Most people just come here to play games, set up an account to track their favorite games, connect with people, but have never used kreds at all.

This will tank so hard very soon if you don't allow people to just play. We here dealt with tons of games that use that system, it's utter bullpoop and games that have it go under fast, very fast.

Yea, this sort of energy garbage may have worked on Facebook with all the fail soccer mommies, but you're catering to a different audience here. We're serious gamers and don't appreciate being insulted by such a blatant cash-pull energy system. BYE!

This is a great game, but its super buggy and I really don't like the energy limit. It makes this game like those bloodthirsty facebook games that will drain your time, money, or both without hesitation. Keep working on it and don't be so greedy developing and you'll get 5 stars from me. Until then, 3.5, rounded to 3 because I can't click 3.5.

This is a terrible game that utterly fails to capture the spirit of the anime or the other card games. just bolting YuGiOh onto it doesnt make it good

Really this isnt even Yugioh.Guys play Duelingnetwork its way better and you can add the cards you want with out like you have to duel someone to get cards.But there are banned cards and limited cards if you dont know that
Duelling Network has slightly another audience I guess. Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM is less complicated. But to reach the top and to compete with the top player decks it still needs some skills.
Even though it seems you only like the original TCG you probably give the BAM a chance :)

I have spent a total of more than 5 million coins over the past hour and have received 1 summoned skull only.
I can recall spending between 1 and 2 million coins previously, also on 40,000 coin packs and have never received a summoned skull before.
That totals at over 150 packs meaning that if the 1:24 ratio is correct i should have received just 6 BAM legends..
i can recall on different occassions owning 30+ of the 3 other remaining BAM legends.
Please explain why these numbers do not match the numbers set by yourself, thanks.

With games like this I usually find myself playing it until I run out of energy and only if it was overly enjoyable, do I return. I doubt I will be playing this again.

@ the devs: Of course the players are going to be mad about the energy system. This is Kongregate, not Facebook. I do like that you have the energy charge at 1 per minute, that is about as fast as these types of games get. I really don't know why so many people are complaining. Clash of Dragons is another really popular card game and that game is much more energy based than this.
@ players: you guys should just suck it up and be glad that energy recharge is only one minute per energy. At least it is not two or three minutes per energy.
Thanks, we're glad you like it actually :) We are still very new to Kongregate and we will have an eye on the activity and if something needs adjustments we'll consider implementing them.

My only huge complaint is that THIS ISN'T F***ING YU-GI-OH. It's some crappy knock off version of it that feels broken.

If you want to keep playing, I found out that you can just roam between the empty spaces in area 3. You will get ambushed, allowing for a match.
