wow... you think something teaching you how to make games wouldn't leave deadzones where you can just sit and not die forever

The saddest news hit me today like 10mins ago.
I have been developing a game that runs on the same premise as this game in my spare time for fun, and i was really getting into making it better for a full game with a storyline and such, and now when i do eventually submit it, people will think i used this as a guide :(
But as far as this version goes, the ship moves way too fast, the enemies have no AI at all, they just move on a specified function and shoot, and most importantly, it never ends.
On a visual side of things, i like the type of background style (Lined). However, the menu looks horrid, the enemies look simple and when i get the sheild i just ram the bosses to death without getting hurt. So i cant give this more than 2/5

i feel sorry for my friend whos making a game like this but with levels and bosses and a storyline, because when he does finish it and submit it theyll think he copied the trend this tutoiral will probably bring, which will be false :( plus this is rather boring and not a great example for these kinda games >__>

I found this game rather entertaining. Yes, it is basic, but then again, you don't see many good old shooter games much anymore.

A example of what can be done using a tutorial, FAIL.
A bad game that has nothing for the player to look forward to.
2/5 in comparing it to some of the other shit on here.
