Figured out how to place Silicon P and to delete Metal....you have to hold shift with either silicon or delete selected to perform the optional tasks. Definitely needs improvements in the tutorial section, maybe a series of practice circuits to get use to the controls and how different circuits perform, especially for those of us who are not electrical engineers. 2/5 for now but has potential.

It's a pain in the butt to get anything from the tutorial with a 1024x768 resolution since the text and what's going on don't all fit within the frame. Sad, looked interesting.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Could do with a lot more documentation/tutorial (ideally in a more accessible format than video), but other than that, it's inspired. Fun and educational. :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
lol, it actually makes quite fun to find the right way how to set it up, but its very hard 4/5 :)
hm stuck at level 4, but got 5 and 6 finished xD
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, it loads. But this is way too complicated for most people. You need a lot of background knowledge to get what the hell is going on.
Not a good choice for a game that is supposed to be fun.

@random_box here is a much simpler solution for rs latch

Here's the SR Latch using as few gates as possible as far as I know. There's a bit of startup noise but whatever.

You don't need any switches to prevent feedback on the 3rd design... X only gets current if they're all on, easy enough to do, and Y gets current if any of them are on - make 4 "OR" gates in a row with VCC on one end - turns off if any of them are on. You know where to go from there.
AND gate attached to VCC seems to be the best way of preventing feedback though, if you still feel you need it.

A clue for level 6, please? I tried doing the RS Latch with the NOR configuration and it oscillated enough to give me 95%. Then I tried the alternate solution with NAND and it was even worse...

I can't get past the second level... the first one took me an hour of reading the instructions over and over :( I like the Bureau of Steam Engineering better

I've been trying to figure out how somepeople manage to find these <20 pt solutions... then I noticed that for some problems one of the inputs is identical to the output. (groan)

rofl, I did a karnaugh map for the two bit adder, reconised the XOR's but competely missed the OR gate in the carry. Clearly it is time for me to rest.

to make set and reset for number five you just use two nor's where one is verticle and the other is horizontal. its simple

Fantastic game, I love all of your games. One thing that might make this a bit easier though is to have not only the verification graph, but also a table like the one on the briefing tab. That way you can track down the bugs in your build without having to interpret the difficult to read graph.

This is a great game. Don't vote on it based on whether or not engineering is your cup of tea. Vote on it based on how good of an engineering game it is, because that's what its supposed to be. @Miyucubi: Noone does this as work anymore, at least not at this low level. Now they use pre-made parts.

@kleiny: Good game, but not everyone's cup of tea. Downvoting it based on the genre isn't very accurate, though. For shame, most of the commenters! For shame!
