What i really hate about this tipe of games is how it makes you feel stupid.
"Oh,well i see you've completed the level,goo...wait HOW MUCH CYCLES HAVE YOU SPENT?STUPID!LOOK AT THE RECORD BOARD AND DO IT AGAIN!"

@ihavenousername That's exactly it. Just make a bunch of NPN gates in a row, with a PNP at the beginning controlled by the output of the NPNs. It'll take a few cycles for current to go through the NPN gates, and eventually shut itself off.

So I've figured out a few now. But I'm having to read up a lot and learn these techniques from scratch. I've reached an impasse though; does anyone know how to create the power-on reset generator? So far everything I've seen includes resistors, which you don't have in the game. are you supposed to put loads of gates in series and use the lag?

This really is a game that I completely wrote off the first time I came across it, but after numerous revisits, especially after being consumes by Krispy's other games on Kong, I keep finding myself coming back and understanding a little bit more of how this game works over time. The best thing is that I feel like I'm actually learning about how circuits work despite the fact that I'm not being taught it. This learning by experimentation truly is a rewarding feeling and is one of the reasons this game remains an enigma that I continue to revisit.

God damnit!
The fact that a destination node conducts through itself rather than simply acting as a receptacle for the binary powered stats is making pulse reactions nearly impossible for me to figure out. I don't want to look at a guide because that would take away the fun, but I am greatly depressed by this.

I know there's a pause button for the tutorial video, but really, the tutorial really ought to be a 'click to continue' affair.
And really, even then, the tutorial ought to be hands on.

This game prepared me for my Digital Design class. It's easier to know how things like adders work when you've BUILT one.

I found this very difficult at first, but once I learned how to make the logic gates I used my redstone knowledge from minecraft for VICTORY!

1-9 are good. beyond that i feel there needs to be a little more info.
I come back to this occasionally and always get stuck at level 10 and beyond.

For the timers/oscilators, one line in the validator is 5 gates in time. Also there is a "Toggle music" option in the menu for those who missed it.

What this game DESPERATELY needs (besides a mute button) is a "test" mode in which you can selectively turn on and off inputs and watch the signal flow, instead of just hoping to figure something out as the verification test speeds on by...

No ingame tutorial. found the video after a while. found the pause video button after being already frustrated by the faster-than-read-speed of the video. The video does not explain step by step. I guess you need a UI designer to make a good tutorial.

Much more harder than Codex of Alchemy and Manufactoria. In the way that you have to invent the things, which you need first before using them, which is a task too.

I've finally figured out more intuitive controls. The current controls have never suited me and so this is my idea: the silicons and metal would all have sepertae keys (1,2 and 3) then the vias and select tool (4 and 5). The shift functions should be delete (for keys 1-4). This means when making a mistake, you can correct it with the shift key immediately, and it makes deleting silicon more controlled.
