1. Go for the quest with highest bounty 2. Take the lightest and the most expensive treasure with you 3. Take the eye quest when it is available

The Kraken unfortunately killed any and all excitement I had while playing this game, which was extremely unfortunate considering there was quite a bit of it--loved the different enemy ship types forcing you plan your attack ahead if you're not upgraded up the keister.
Was gonna give it a 4, but, the kraken forced me to cut that in half--I'm not a fan of being forced to upgrade everything to their maximum level to stand half a chance no matter what speed, what weapons and which strat I use.

Hey buddy, you thank me for help, and you’re welcome, but could you please watch your path next time so that you don’t immediately sink your freshly repaired ship because of getting stuck in that tiny island? It makes me feel a bit frustrated despite the bounty.

The tutorial vastly overestimated how much money I would have at the end of the day. I couldn't afford even one upgrade other than the turtle shield.

@JohnnyEagle: I would say getting Gold Chest is a mix of luck and good strategy. My strategy is:
1) Start in a corner, best if the island is close to rectangular near that corner. If this isn't Gold Chest already nor a trap it shows the Gold Chest is n fields away.
2) I dig 2nd hole n fields from the first one. If it's not a Gold Chest nor tram it says the gold Chest is m fields away.
3) Now that depends on the island shape, but it's quite likely (unless m=n) that there is just 1 field on the island n fields from 1st hole and m fields from 2nd.
Example:
Let's say the island is an 8x8 square with columns 1-8 and rows A-H. You start at A1. It says 3. You dig at A4 (4=1+3), then it says 1. Now the treasure could be 1 field north or 1 south from A4, but because A4 is on the shore and north is ocean, u know the Gold Chest is 1 south so B4. If 2nd hole said also 3, u'd be unlucky since Gold Chest can be at D1, D2, D3 or D4, but that's still better than digging in the middle of island.

I played it long ago and I didn't like it. I played it today once again for the badge, and now I hate this game even more.

this is like bad ......too much time to farm, the mini game's numbers are not accurate, and the ramming ship is like hell, can't get away from it, nor to shoot and kill it fast enough before it kills you

Well, i can understand why a noble axe weights 189 kg, but the women in this game must be extremely strong, if they can be expected to wear the exquistive ring (102 kg) and a shiny necklace at the small weight of 136 kg.

That fading transition is annoying and time-consuming. The UI should be better: there should be a total gold value of my inventory. Those 3 menus (shipyard, weapons, market) could be combined directly at the main screen, so that I could sell the loot faster, buy ammo and repairs faster, and upgrade when possible.

Is the game freezing a known bug? I dug for treasure and it skipped the screen to "take all" and went to the overworld. Upon doing so, it froze.

So the game doesn't seem to be saving for me, anybody know why? As far as I can tell, my browser is set to allow the game to save things to my computer. Any suggestions will be appreciated, otherwise I'll just have to hope I get lucky enough to find a golden treasure chest before I get sleepy.

So is there a trick to beating the boss, or is it just a matter of grinding for 10 hours to get gold to pay for enough upgrades to beat him

Finally got the last Med. badge (Huge thanks bugoji ) Despite other comments, and game instructions, I still expected a different game if I hunted Navy/Merchants compared to hunting Pirates... Overall, a decent game and even 3 years later I would be happy to play a sequel with the common bugs fixed, and a few new features. Still a fun game though, even though it's been aged a few years...

there seems to be an issue where the game was centered wrong and I can see the bottom right and right side of the screen! anyone else have this problem(cinematic mode doesn't work either)

i had fun playing this until i met the kraken, way too hard if you ask me, i had no interest in grinding for upgrades to kill him, nice game tho 4/5
