My favorite part is how the pirates and the navy put aside their differences to target you in every situation :-) I don't know what I did to be that far up on both of their hit lists but they seem to have developed technology that makes them immune to each others attacks as well!

I don't see how the opposition cannon balls should pass through my other enemies; a cannon ball is a cannon ball, they don't tend to be too choosy.

I noticed a lot are having problems with the boss. Here's some simple steps to help you succeed with ease:
1. Lower your sailing speed to avoid walls. Do NOT try to avoid shots (requires high armor and tortoise shield).
2. Kill the corners to unlock the center piece. This feat is can be done (requires Galley, ramming or revenge help as well). Just lower speed to 0 at this point until the it dies, and go to the next (ram your way).
3. Kill center using fireballs- it takes most damage from these. Just circle around it, do NOT enter the inner circle, as it damages you rapidly. You can take hits freely as long as you keep hitting him.
Thumbs up to keep alive.

Great game, I can't get enough of upgrade games so I'm definitely in this for the long haul.
The one thing I would say is that everything you can upgrade is too expensive, making it feel like you're putting in a lot of effort for not that great of a pay off. It would be nice to have some varied pricing, instead of everything costing the same.
Other than that, great game!

So is there a trick to beating the boss, or is it just a matter of grinding for 10 hours to get gold to pay for enough upgrades to beat him?

So, I apparently sailed to the end of the world, but all that happens is I hit this superforce invisible wall and all ships can sail no further. I also activated the Neptune's Eye and the whirlpool ended up somewhere off the known ocean and I could not reach it. Strange...

The lack of friendly fire is disappointing. It would add a nice strategy element to be able to position yourself with another ship (perhaps disabled) between you and a third attacking ship.

It's okay, but you really need a sense of scale. A 189 kg crown is over three times heavier than the average grown human o_0

Why on earth do the Navy only ever attack you, even when there are other pirates around? Fun game, but that really annoys me. Also, I think any secondary cannon weapons should have their own reload times, otherwise there's not much incentive to spend money on these, IMO.

Ah, I love this style of combat. Just you, the wind, and a cannon. So simple, yet fun and challenging. My only complaint is that the entire world is against me--no friends, no allies. Could I get my own trio of ships to use?

I would rate higher but it's so very grindy :[ - I don't mind challenge but not when you have to kill stuff to get treasure to upgrade your treasure carrying skills etc ( just an example )

Hmmm... finding a portal to a great amount of wealth that turns out to just hold a giant tentacled monster? Devs fans of Borderlands?

Upgrades are ridiculously expensive, either increase gold drops or reduce the price of the upgrades. Otherwise, great game.

My only complaint about this game is the loot system. Did you guys actually think about how much stuff weighs when you were assigning values? A brooch is a type of jewelry you might pin on your dress. It wouldn't weigh 56 kg. That's the equivalent of 123 pounds. That's insane! And all of the loot is like that. Scale it down or something. Makes no sense.

Very good game, but the only complaint I have is that during treasure hunt diagonal counts as 1 while vertical and horizontal also count as 1. This makes searching for a gold chest more a luck based deal than strategic thinking. Other than that some people may ask for an option to sail backwards, but I think it is more realistic when you can't like the real deal. 4/5 mate

I don't quite understand the reasoning behind the varying sale prices. If you had a place to store cargo outside of the ship, so that you could hold off on selling it for a day or two to see if the price improves, that would work. Or if the loot was more of the "commodity" variety (i.e. you loot 20kg of rice which is currently selling at 5 gold/kg), then you could hold on to it to see if the sale price went up the next day. The way it is, I'm just annoyed when the sale price is red and happy when it's green, but I still end up selling everything each day.

Would be great if we could see friendly fire between AIs.
Currently, it doesn't really matter whether it's navy or pirates, they all chase you to death side by side, which doesn't really make sense.

BEST WIN EVER. This might make the kraken badge easier for you maybe! I had the shooting gallery at full upgrade and whatnot, took on the kraken and got to the head... unfortunately I died before the head did (I'd taken out the 4 guys already) but I was right up next to it when I died. so the lil' wanted poster popped up. HOWEVER, I noticed there was still hits being given to the kraken (you can tell by the brown pixels still being thrown around on the head). So I decide to sit and wait and just watch. Guys, I killed the kraken from the Wanted screen. I got the badge. just sit close enough to it when you die and it should take it out easy! as long as the corner guys are dead, at least. best glitch ever.

What I'd like to see is enemies of different factions hitting each other or generally some friendly fire. I can't believe the navy, merchant (bodyguards) and pirates all hate me enough to only attack me.

Wow 11 thumbs up on "you should be able to end the day instead of just sailing around". Try clicking the pause icon and then End Day.

strange how our ship has a set cargo limit... but our magic loot box that is presumably on our ship as well has an unlimited capacity but eats all the items inside after midnight... like a Mimic version of a gremlin

This game only needs one thing, enemy friendly fire. You're constantly out numbered, being able to maneuver the enemies so that their shots at you hit one another would make this a whole different level of action strategy.

great game...love anything with upgrades. only problem i have is that when enemy ships sail through burning oil they should catch fire too not just you
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Im not to fond when you have to attack a pirate ship and then the navy suddenly help the pirates O_o And then they all shot threw eachother which is a real pain in the ass :(

Final Boss: Ram a corner turret and fire a single volley of max level cannon balls. Repeat for all 4 corners then just circle the boss while firing - keep the boss on fire and disarm with pirates.

Few suggestions for a sequel: 1) New different looking maps. Was kinda disappointed that all of the maps were identical, perhaps you could also put some obstacles that do damage as well to both firends and foe (volcanoes, whirlpools, large waves, Storms, Rocks, sandbars, etc) 2) Opton for friendly AIs that are upgradeable. Having my own gang of pirates would be nice when fighting 10 other pirates and the navy at the same time. 3) Friendly fire. annoying tht ais can shoot through each other and do damage only to me, even if they are navy and pirates. 4) upgradable turning radius. half the time i was playing i felt having a sharper turning radius helped more than speed. and 5) more difficult sub bosses. the final boss was annoying as shit, but all the other little ships you fought weren't shit. perhaps make the navy officers have smaller faster ships or larger stronger ships with multiple attacks? overall good game, just redundant.
