Obviously you, sir, are a kindred spirit. I remember when MY windmill seized up and all the wind in the world stopped blowing. My only qualm is the simplicity of this game. Obviously a machine as complicated as a windmill takes more than a few gears to create the wind for a village.

Nice game, just needs some tweaking. Especially controls... it got little bit tedious with handling the wheels. I wouldnt mind the forge wheels handling kind of thing (but you could only create preset number and types of wheels, no change there), then there is no need to always painfully select new wheel in case you pick the wrong one. Also... there could be more forge wheel levels, those were the best.

Ah, I get it! The villagers need income from tourists. And tourists want windmills that look like they work properly and don't stand still. So, the villagers bought one of those experimental small nuclear reactors, hid it deep in the ground and power the windmills with the power it generates. Clever! ;)

why dont turn it around? that the village needs energy and that they've built windmills and you need to do the gearwork?! That make's alot more sense. + if you agree!

Beautifull little game. As others said earlier, the story doesn't make mutch sense, but I don't think you realy care mutch about that. The artwork is magnificent. I find myself dissaponted every level because I can't explore these lovely caves. :)

I enjoyed this game thoroughly! just need to improve it, slap on a few badges so more people will play it, and increase the difficulty a bit! ( it wasn't too easy, it's just it got easier as it got on ) congrats on this enjoyable game! ^^

Maybe the the reason we are powering the windmills is because this world has a shortage of wind? So these are wind generators! ...

Hmm level 12 seemed a bit out of place, did it in 6 seconds first try. Must have been lucky I guess. The music is good.

Most of the windmills are going the wrong way, plus they seem to be using geothermal technology so why would they be worried by there being no wind to power obsolete windmills. The music isn't good

I think I'm not the only one that was led to believe this was a wind physics game by the name, gotta start trusting the genres put up by kong...

Assume you're some kind of a god of gears, and you're trying to restore power to the otherwise wind-powered village by using your miraculous underground mechanisms, without alerting them to the fact that you're intervening. You know, so you don't upset their culture and have to CONSTANTLY listen to all their whiny little prayers.

you see, this place is too cheap to afford wind, so it just builds these large contraptions underground to put on the affect of having wind so they... wait.....

Not an original concept by any means, but good exacution and nice levels. How exactly we are helping them get wind? Villagers must know the concept of how windmills work as they are using wind energy. While windmills start rotating they will just be thinking that those are possessed.

Add belts, axles, gears and stuff, then maybe make it a challenge to use as few items as possible. It would make a nice sequel.

No idea why all the upvoted comments are seeking explanations as to why the cogs turn, etc. Seriously, do you go into every physics game expecting for an explanation of everything? There are plenty of games with perpetualy turning cogs; just because this one has a little bit of story doesn't mean they have to explain all of that. It's just a game, for goodness sake.

Plays more like a game of luck for me. Quite annoying when the gear is ~one pixel away from the other one and it still won't work.

and the gears is just a fun and hard way to do the game the message is that windpower is key to energy and not coal i mean i guess it could be the water moving the gears or the geothermal from the volcanos but thats geting too indepth its suposed to be just a game

coal ruins the lives of the people that have to live by mountain top removal work sites by the coal dust from the explosians that get into the air travels all around and the coal and uranium and other metals that get into there streams jeez do your reserch

The gears are turned by coal power plants down on the ground, which run on cheap child labor. Most of the energy goes into turning the gear, which keep the island floating in the air through sheer torque power.
