I agree that the arrows need to be rigidly lined up with the beat of the music, if that’s the type of game you’re going for. Some more visual feedback would help as well. Also, were the arrows/letters randomly generated? I think it would be more fun, and add to the ‘combo’ nature, if there were patterns of arrows that people could get used to, like combos in Street Fighter. If the timing is fixed and the patterns made more sense I think it could be a fun game with a little polish.

Needs a more beat-hardened music that you can mold the levels to be representative of. Find a hard trance song and try to adjust the button presses around the beat. Other than that you did a good job on the detection engine, so 3/5 from me

The keys seem to have absolutely nothing to do with the rhythm... That's kinda the whole "thing" with these types of games, they're supposed to be hit to the speed of music.
I like the asd+arrows combination though, as that means I use both hands.
