@rpresser maybe they're black holes.... IN ANOTHER UNIVERSE! (or they could become the mythical White Holes in a later version)

Great game, great concept, but it needs some work regarding balance and gameplay. First of all, Locust are overpowered, in every possible way. Firepower doesn't scale to match them on higher levels and they can pretty much spawn inside far away plantes. but this is not the real issue (it will be if issue number two changes), if you level your firepower eventually you get a positive return on farming them! forget planets, i have infinite biomass being delivered to my doorstep! which brings to the next problem, civilizations are too self-destructive, even the +habi ones. After achieving sandbox mode (500k out of harrasing locust) i tried to play with civs and it always leads to them blowing their planets up. Hell i tried to play god and nurse a galactic empire but i couldn't get any civ to last long enough, even if i terraformed all nearby planets eventually i had an asteroid belt.

Black holes don't work that way. If you put a black hole near a planet, time on that planet will go MORE SLOWLY than time far away from the black hole. The only way to get a speed boost from a black hole is to put YOURSELF near it ... and then you'd react more slowly to threats.

Good and very potential. For example A check box for which type of harvester will auto sent.A cargo fleet instead of one time harvester.

-Hey, Boss, we are being attacked by space locust. Do we send fighters?
-What they are made of?
-Fighters? Some biometal I guess.
-No, not fighters, Locusts, are they organic?
-Uhm... yes.
-Send Harvesters.
I find it incredibly funny, that you can just harvest Space Locust with Battle Harvesters.

I'm not seeing the option to repair planets from asteroid belts. This seems to make the "wasteland" mission kinda impossible, since sure, losing a planet means you don't have to seed it with life, but you still need to improve it above the required parameters.

Its tough trying to let civs advance so you can get tech points from killing them when they keep sending ships everywhere.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
After reaching point when u has to kill lev 8 civ to get tech points, button to buy tech poiint with biomass start to say: "biomass cost:0". And do was the prize, i could bought all needed points for free.

great game concept, realy fun ! I would love to rate 5/5, but the small planet size and "jumping" camera realy make it annoying to control a larger area. how about larger planet sizes and a camera fixed on HQ and auto-scaling to fit in full empire?

Events come in random. This is very annoying. I upgraded a planet and then it suddenly turned into an asteroid. The game system should be changed. For example, inhibitability decreases from time to time if you do nothing, negative events come if you leave a planet unattended for too long.

Why do I get charged every time I send a harvester? That kills the economics of the game. Espcially when the cost exceeds your return.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why does the space locust go from 1-3 attacking to 10 or more at 1 time, You can't harvest enough bio mass to kill them, The scaling needs to be adjusted

The game fails to load for me: The loading bar comes and fills, then the screen just switches to a dark gray background with no further changes (Ubuntu 13.10, Firefox 36.0a1, Flash 11.2.202.356)

I found a bug, on the level where you unlock adaptive seeders, i had all 7 "adaptive" planets seeded but then one was destroyed and in my mission checklist i then had 6/7 planets. So i can't complete the level now..
Should not be a problem, the game handles such a situation, dead planets aren't counted so it would be 6/6. I just finished level with all 7 planets destroyed - it works.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you should keep tech point and HQ upgrade from the previous level. ( and the black hole things works the other way round: you should put a black hole near the HQ in order to see the other planets go faster)

Later in game, Locust swarm ships have huge amount of biomass, 7000+. If The Empire can access them, all biomass problems should be solved.

Please fix the stretching so that we can use cinema mode and get a bigger view (thus making the tiny fonts larger when playing using a tv) 4/5 so far

Setting an auto-harvest should automatically add at least one unit of biomass to the requirement. Several times I caught myself trying to eliminate biomass on a planet whose habitability went negative, only to find that several minutes later I was still blowing resources sending a ship to harvest nothing.

I dont like it. i just seem to be waiting around for something to happen and I dont seem to be able to buy enough tech to travel further but i cant see why not. terribly clashing colours as well. makes it hard to see the detail. desperately needs a full screen mode.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
minor bug: the pause/resume button breaks if you do something that auto-pauses (click over into Kong chat, open tech screen, etc) while already paused. Plus speed works to get it going again though.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm not sure if anyone has said this already, but if you don't want your planet to hit tech level 4, send in the heavy harvester, and if you don't want to damage it, but still remove the civilization, spam the right amount of battle harvesters (after all, reducing the biomass to 0% means there is nothing to advance/figth back anymore)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is there a way to use a planet with negative hospitality? Also could use a auto harvest all option somewhere so I'm not going planet to planet.
You can improve habitability of the planet after you learn terramorphing. And I enabled autoharvest by default in last update - you want it enabled anyway )

Very motivating and fitting soundtrack, which alone makes the game worthwhile: Galaxy harvest meets space chillout ;)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just an idea, but some kind of suppression system for planets we don't want to advance would be nice. Every time a system hit a certain level of tech, you could assign a ship type to attack it. Level 4 = Fighter, 5 = Cruiser, etc. Of course, if you don't have the biomass, you are out of luck!

Couldnt finish black hole mission. I had all techs and all upgrades. Used 2k harvesters for the planets far away and made the planets close by with high habitability. But I maxed out on 15k biomass and then there were just to many planets turning into belt and all my biomass was slowly being used to kill locuses, until eventually I reached the 0.

Could the 'change in the sun' thing *PLEASE* have an even chance of going up or down? I often end up with a system of negative planets that life won't grow on.

A minor update - solution for an asteroid-belt-wasteland-problem. Now destroyed planet will be recovered after a while (on higher difficulty you'll need to wait longer). The habitability of course will be totally screwed up so you'll need to launch a bunch of terramorfers to get it back to biomass production. New planet will also be smaller, so you don't want your planets destroyed anyway. Hope this helps, maybe we'll need to do some rebalance for this feature.
Have fun, guys!

Game is in desperate need of a tech unlock which allows the (re)building of planets from asteroid belts. Feel free to make it more expensive than Terramorphing, but the option needs to be there. There are so many events that lead to planet annihilation, and no way to either recover or fend it off. Too easy to end at a barren, asteroid-filled map.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I have to agree, while good events happen, they only seem to happen when you scout a planet. After that, it's just wars, and technological failures and solar issues and asteroids that turn my whole system into a grave yard. I actually can't beat this level anymore and have to start over now. Which is frustrating.
Autoharvest sends harvester when biomass level on the planet reaches the autoharvest level you've set up in the planet's window (50% by default). You maybe still don't have enough biomass on your planet

Somehow im not able to research protable recylcling in level 5. Is there any trick? I researched anything else possible..
You probably don't have enough Tech Points. Try to kill some civilizations (with lifeform level 5 or higher) or buy them for biomass in the Tech Window.

Great game. A few things to say maybe: If good things could happen too I would be happier. Sun changes planets to habitability under 0. Asteroids destroying things.. I am stuck with a sunsystem full of Asteroid belts... If you could implement some positive coincidences it would be more satisfying.

I love space games! I also love how casual it is, most games out there (besides idle ones) are very action/attentive oriented. 4/5 (would be five, if it wasn't mission based and more open-world/sandbox)
Thank you! There is a "Random Sector" game mode (second tab on "new game" screen) that is much more open-world'ish, check it out! Campaign is recommended to understand all the refinements of mechanics though.
