Finally 1.0.5 is out!
First of all thank to you for all your bug-reports and fresh thoughts on gameplay. We can't do everything you want, but some ideas are totally awesome!
In the new version of the game:
* Linux is finally supported (yay!)
* Fixed a bunch of annoying bugs. Not all of them, unfortunately.
* Improved balance of random events and locust swarms (became less hardcore though, maybe we need additional "developer's" difficulty level )
Have fun guys! And keep writing those awesome comments! :D

On the level where adaptive climates are introduced. I seeded every planet with adaptive seeder and it said 6/7 still :(

not a idle game, and an epic history. first i was like "cool story bro", them "to be harvest, this industry is in your hands" them i was like "wha a nice plot twist" srly that introduction alone already garanted you 2 stars minimun!

It feels as if the game can too easily end up with dead space full of asteroid belts, even if you're careful and try to not damage anything. And the locusts seem to put too much of a hard timer on everything for some scenarios to still be fun. It's challenging, but it feels like it could be balanced in a way where it's still hard but not as frustrating. Still, 5/5; really good game.

Furthermeore, when a message is shown on the side, the scrollbar of the planet list is not accessible anymore.
Thank for any improvment you may do, this is really a great game :)

Could we have a way to personnalize shortcuts ? Being on a AZERTY keyboard, the current shortcuts are really not convenient.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the other game modes are too big, you cant keep up with it all, you need some sort of defence for planets instead of trying to go to each one and protect it from swarms and the people

I wish I could keep watching after my H.Q. is destroyed (usually by my own creations) and see how the remaining lifeforms manage. Will they be able to colonize the entire galaxy, and perhaps even start seeding planets and collect Biomass just as I did?
Or will they destroy themselves, or be consumed by the Locusts, like some many before them?

After getting the mission complete screen, it is still possible to click on messages on the right side, and doing so minimizes the mission screen and makes it impossible to complete the mission.

Planets destroying themselves via civil war should happen far less often. Once it happens the first time, you'd think the other planets would take it as a cautionary tale...
On second thought, ignore my suggestions and don't add any code to the game. It's bloated enough as it is. It's currently using 2320540K (as in, 2.2 GB) of RAM according to Task Manager. :-/

I want to see planet names on the map. I'd like anything attackable to have a health bar or at least stats that state how close to being dead it is.

How about a setting to automatically send a fighter to any planets with hostile populations when they reach 4.0? There's no real point to letting them advance beyond that once you've capped your research for that level. Strategy and time management are one thing, but I'm not into space-themed whack-a-mole.

I always love a good game that tests my efficient use of resources. All negative events and eventual decimation of the planets ensures that you get out ahead at the start and get the most out of them to begin with. Wouldn't change a thing as the difficulty level made for a challenging final level where I just peaked out at 80,000 before swarms became too much of a bother. 5 Stars for sure

I find the game interesting to play and somewhat fun. However, the fact that over millions of years nobody was able to develop a ship that could survive the monumental task of taking 3 trips leaves me perplexed. I also don't understand why they would create battle harvests that cost more than they can possibly return.

There needs to be more options to deal with high-tech colonies than kill them or leave them alone. What about putting orbital platforms around the planet to shoot down any ships they launch? What about diplomacy -- a cease-fire that costs a small amount of resources to maintain? Something needs to allow them to grow to the point where I can harvest tech from them, without having to constantly micromanage shooting down their attacking ships.

How about an option to auto-pause the game when enemy ships are launched? Otherwise, I'm forced to play the game on slow speed in order to have time to react -- which kind of negates the usefulness of being able to speed up the game clock.

Why are there not enough planets to complete the Hot'n'Cold mission. I can only ever get 6/7? Any new planets that appear are all uninhabitable.

Also first mission, the biomass of the initial planet turned to 0% after I spent all the biomass I had in storage, which afaik is different from the one in the planet. Bugged games r shit.

Random events destroying a planet I just terraformed... I really hate these random events just murdering all progress I just worked for.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How about a sorting system for planets? I would like to sort them from low life conditions to high, to see which planets are nice to populate.

Wait, how does black hole boosting supposed to help, lol?
It increases relative time speed, which means for an outside observer, like my HQ, it actually slows the growth of biomass on a selected planet. For example: 1 hour on planet = 1000 hours on HQ. 1 kg of biomass per 1 hour on planet = 1 kg of biomass per 1000 hours on HQ. :D

Still no luck trying to start this game; I'm stuck with the black screen after loading. Does this only happen on Linux? Because at least one of the other players who experienced this problem was also using Linux.

As a hint, a cheap (cheap in the 'mail-in rebate' sense, it's about twice the cost up front) way to kill Locus Swarms is Battle Harvesters.
With a few capacity upgrades, you can get around the same biomass back as you paid to send them out. Heck, with enough upgrades, you can make a slight profit, but the main point is to stop paying 100-150 biomass per attack.

Considering the number of unfortunate events that occurs, it would be nice to have a Peace-Loving civilization that never attacks you or your harvesters. Better yet, the Empire should have just genetically engineered a "peace-loving", fast reproducing and ecologically beneficial, fast-expanding civilization with immunity to asteroids (high tech civilizations cannot shoot down an asteroid?! The empire, cannot shoot down an asteroid?!), locusts, black holes, plagues, and enemy civilizations.

You could do with a zoom-out function that doesn't also scroll the screen. Given the kinda stuff you need to watch, you kinda need a bigger-than-default screen.

While this game look so good at first glance, some elements just make me frustrated. I'll go with the 3 worst. 1) Too big too few huge randoms events happen. You can find extra ressource at the start and just snowball from it or you can lose a planet and lose in a long agony. More events less impactful could solve that. 2) Negatives impacts for some things that should be minor are disproportionate. 2.1) Locust swarm triple their population if they hit any planet. . 2.2) Attack to your headquarter which remove you biomass; It should be enough to lose 1 of your few hitpoint.. 3) The game seem design to force me into decisionless clicking all over the place. What can I do about those locust the to attack them as soon as they reach my range. Either I have the ressource, either I'm doomed. Why designing an enemy that awful. It's not a strategic desicion at all. Just get rid of them and remove biomass randomly from my account if that's what you want to achieve.

tips : Use heavy seeder if you can afford ,the planet will have better start ,athose biomass still yours. but it relative make the harvest time longer and more before the planet tech reach lv4

The bad planets don't live long enough for me to collect tech points. They either commit suicide (sometimes taking the planet with them) or asteroids destroy them. I want to enjoy this game, but I've been stuck with not enough tech points for 15 minutes on "Terraforming", and can't complete it just because they keep dying on me. I've completed the other objectives.

Also, running into a little bit of trouble on later levels. I see the cool biomass -> tech levels, but could there also be a tech -> biomass? like a 1 point to 3000 bio or something?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love the game so far, there does seem to be a 5/1 ratio of bad to good events, but if it was 1/1, i feel that i would be handed almost every victory. since there is no time limit (at least on the levels im on), why should i care whether it takes me longer to beat a level? I really like that at higher tech levels, the other guys make "emipres" and such, super cool. The SINGLE one thing that i would REALLY like would be to change the default harvesting level for ALL planets when you scout them. its set at 50%, but i'd like them a little lower if i could.

Great game! My favorite kind of game, galactic civ. The biomass concept is good. What I really miss is a shortcut for pause (gamespeed 0)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A few tips: Planets can be stone-aged more thoroughly by completely harvesting them, which also means you don't have to napalm biomass and don't risk damaging the planets. Keeping most planets non-nuclear may be advantageous. To farm tech, nurture a planet to the appropriate tech level and then send it seeders so that it starts pooping out ships.
