nice game .. i like it very much i want to see improvements.. i read some here, so for me is no more to say;) nice work and keep it this way.. is first time i played and i dont say is slow.. is perfect balanced for my pleasures

Extremely slow start, but picks up later. Simple idle with some potential. Curious to see what the future updates bring. 3/5
A lot :) Idle Squares 2 will be released around 5th-10th of October, Achievements, more tiers, prestige with prestige type upgrades and also inferno levels
Currently it's just for unlocking new squares and progressing to complete all 36, but i am currently working on idle squares 2 which will give you new unlocks and prestige awards per tier

Thanks to ThomasF97 for finding how to fix unlocking a next tier, it doesn't affect everyone but if it affects you, set your zoom back to 100% on your browser then refresh should fix this!

So just a quick message that probably i will just release this as a new game obviously called "Idle Squares 2" lol, because it will take a few days to complete maybe more, but the game will come with a minimum of 60 Square unlocks with 5 tiers but also a new prestige type of currency called Mega Squares, which will have a default value of x10 per square, but can be used to buy powerful upgrades like full square producing at 0.1 seconds, Mega Square Multiplier so you can increase your mega square's faster, 12 full unlocks for this so eventually every square can be just full.

Right now it doesn't seem like there's much incentive to play past tier 1. Tier 2 doesn't seem to do anything new unless I'm missing something. Is it just the first square starts at 2 instead of 1?
Yea each tier increases your base multiplier of cash and squares, i am currently working on some upgrades that will be unlocked as you reach the higher tiers or a prestige mechanic.
Sorry to hear that, i am trying to find this bug why it happens to some people, if i can't find it i will include a code with the new update which will allow you to hard reset but it will give you the 50m too so hopefully it allows people to move on

There seems to be an Upgrade behind "Sq Multiplier", something with "P", but I cant read it. Maybe make them smaller and/or rearrange UI?
This shouldn't happen, it's more of a visual bug where the old game hasn't cleared kong cache yet, you can try refreshing or unfortunately a hard restart will fix this
I have been only able to test on firefox and chrome so far and could you please try check that you have 50m+ cash up the top, i need to fix this bug in the next update

Rather than rebalances, give a slight clicker element, allow people to spam clicks at least to fill up the first square. The idle element feels fine as it is, but you are going to have people complain that it needs to be even faster, what they are really asking for is a way to interact directly and MAKE it fast for the early parts.

Really needs a hard reset option. Game never updates for me, and I'm not going to clear my cache just to induce a hard reset.

the buttons blow are misaligned. and buttons can not be pressed anywhere wuthin the button. but seems a nice one. thanks.
I am sorry about that, it seems like the last update might of not gone through as fast for some people, if you don't mind restarting your game you can hard reset everything with Ctrl & Delete, this should fix everything! Thanks

Add a prestige system, with prestige currency called Cube(s.) Add a tab where you can spend cubes on different upgrades, maybe even cheaper upgrades.
I am willing to add a prestige system maybe later, but this game was originally intended to be a quick game and not needing a complex prestige system, if players will want more depth though i am very happy to add more.

There needs to be something to differentiate between squares. Currently with all squares producing at the same rate they may as well be one square that gets a production bonus when a new one is unlocked.
It works more like more squares produce more squares and also unlocks more money, it's true i could have square 1 produce 1 and square 2 produce 2 etc, but i would just have to increase the upgrades cost of the squares, it doesn't really change the game aspect.

Thanks everyone for all the comments and plays so far! this game has taken off very well, i understand it is a little slow to start but it will be improved once you get past the initial 12 squares, i might increase the starting square fill base to 3 so it will only take 12.5 seconds for the first square, for future content i am currently working on an update to have 5 tiers reaching to unlock 60 squares, hopefully done by the 7th September, Thanks again!

When you reach the point that tickspeed is maxed out the game changes. Since you cannot increase the tickspeed anymore, the only way to increase squares gained is by upgrading square fill. Base value upgrade does not help with that and is thus useless (but also the only upgrade you can still buy with money). Profit multiplier spends squares for more money, which also does not help. So as soon as you reach maximum tickspeed 3/4 upgrades are useless. That is kinda an issue.
The concept is you unlock more Squares faster if your income is more, unlocking more squares produces even more squares, squares are unlocked by reaching certain cash milestones

Game speeds up dramatically. Interestingly the best move might be to not use square fill beyond 1-3 times. Each time you use it the distance to 0 timer increases. So while you move faster, you need more tick speed increases to get to the goal.

Pretty solid game and no real bugs...unfortunately it 'is' a little boring. 4 out of 5 stars though for good programming and not publishing a broken game.
