Well, they told me to take good care of my first pet. He is now lvl 17 and has never died! You says that pets dies way too easy? Train 'em to be at your lvl, and do some grinding! It's what the game is about! Stop complaining and enjoy! :D

Found a bug: on my save files, I haven't killed any poisonous snakes. Then after I killed five of them, then I died but the quest is counted complete (five poisonous snakes killed).

Define Irony. When you stop playing castaway to let your hero heal over time. Take some time to read peoples comments about the many many flaws in the game. Only to come back to your game with your pet dead, and blocking your patch trapping you in a corner without a feather....
that pretty much sums it up?

I started being attacked by a scorpion across a body of water and couldn't retaliate, so I had to teleport to survive. wtf glitchyness

your pet should be close to your lvl when it hatches cuz whenever a pet dies and I hatch another one,I always have to train it when it hatches.(srry for bit overuse of hatches)

should be able to turn off the sound and music when at the travellers den. annoying to have to go to a world to turn it off every time i load my game

oh and the first pet u get , its name is eye guy (becuase ive played the other games that where made by the guy who made this game they are :ultimate tactics ultimate defense and ultimate defense 2 the eye guy was in ultimate tactics) if u didnt know oh and another thing that is helpful is that u dont need to wait for pet eggs to hatch simpley set ur computer time an hour or 2 ahead (whatever the hatch time is) so it wont take all that long but it wont work if u do it and then change it back and u didnt add the hatched pet so when u do this remember to add the hatched pet to ur pets so u dont lose the time it took to hatch ur pet and make it reverse back to what it was before u set the time foward just a tip :D

when u have a pet that is like lv 1 when they first hatch its good to just grind on the first part of castaway beach then once they get to lv 5 bring them to the 3rd part of the beach (were all of those snakes are) there is a lv 5 snake there that will give u 20 or so exp then when ur pet is lv 10 go to the grass lands and train him on the grass beetles until hes lv 15 then u wont really need to train him any more becuase not many things can kill a lv 15 except ogres and maybe elementals and a few other things but thats only a few hope it helps :)

there is one thing i hate and it is that you cannot buy pet food in the shop as i know of its a real pain killing so many beetles just for some fruits for your pet
also the best way to get those fruit you need is to go to castaway beach and kill sand beetles

I personally believe that something they should add is that if you and your pet team up to corner a monster, then you could tame the monster and try to make it another pet.

tip for all those worrying about weapon cost: You can get through the first two zones with your STICK. go to fire scimitar(quest) next- a good reason not to use your flame spell.

there's a glitch where enemies will respawn, but they only take up space and show a dot on the map. They're invisible and can't be targeted.

Definitely needs a autosave, like when u reach a quest ur game gets automatically saved, press + if u agree. I was lvl 12,i saved 1 tim. I died and i was back to basic :/

the easiest way to level up pets is to have them stay and fight the monsters on your own. they follow you to new areas and get xp for doing nothing. this doesnt work in areas with monsters that attack on their own tho...

@baitzy: You can deselect your pet at the Pet Shelter and play pet free if you want, (or just let your pet die and not select a new one). @charizard300: If you go to an area with passive monsters, (such as the skeletons in the first two areas of the Magma Crater), and tell your pet to stay you can kill high-level monsters at no risk to your pet.

Hold up.... So you're telling me that when I kill one of these monsters, they just happen to be so freaked out that they drop an egg?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Pets should start at the level of the monster that dropped them. Not fun going back to near the beginning to train your new pet every time your old one dies.

dont waste your time with pets, they are pointless imo, i finally gave up on them with them dying every two seconds and having to start over again, super squishy. the whole point of a pet is having it be almost like a tank, either that or massive dmg compaired to the character.
things you can do to make this game better:
make a way to restart the game w/o having to deathport
make the pets more appealing, and less easy to kill
make a way to revive them so you dont waste all of your time

How about making all movement mouse driven? The movement is automatic if you click on an object or monster - why not just do the same when clicking on a location? Why bother with the keyboard?

I really don't get why i cant wear multiple accessories at one time, Not like wearing boots get in the way of wearing a ring, and the ring in the way of a pin. Makes no sense and now im positive this game was made by someone who has never played an rpg.

I agree with the inventory system. Either give more slots or make equipped equipment disappear from the inventory. But I wanted to point out something in regards to buying healing supplies. Buying the healing herbs that only heal you 20 HP is the best bargain. The amount of money you spend for the healing pots that heal you more increases at a higher rate than the amount of healing you get. For example, if you wanted to heal 1,000 HP, you'd buy 50 herbs for 750 G. You'd only have to buy 17 small pots but it will cost you 1,275 G. You'd need only 7 Large pots but you'll spend 1,750. You may be paying for convenience but if you want to save money, just buy the herbs.

My main complaint is how few different monsters there are. It's the same bugs and snakes over and over, with slightly different colors. I like just about everything else about this game, although the inventory is a little tight. It would be nice if dropped objects didn't block your path.
