Under rating threshold (show) I am proud of the game. The best game of the month and it is not a puzzle or idle game. It is definetely 5/5. But there is a small issue. When I achieved patience 5 I didn't get the 25000 money and exp. when i killed the last boss the star didn't appeared. However I got the achievement and I did every single one. I don't understand the level system. There's no passive bonuses in every 10 levels like +5% coin and level bonus. Even though I had a lot of fun with that! Thank you and your friends for bringing this awesome game to Kongregate!

Hello, first thanks for the compliment. I understand little and try to understand what I know in English, but some things I have to use google translator haha. About the art you can see in the credits on the home screen, it was made by pixelboy, and I made some adaptations like hud etc. About the S + D problem I tested here and I had no problem shooting using the space key. Is your keyboard mechanical or something? I had feedback from other players on the arrow keys + space key that didn't shoot. Now using the letters... It's strange.

Under rating threshold (show) The "survive for X minutes" levels are really boring. 2 minutes already feels like an eternity, let alone 5. Maybe it would be better if they are all 1 or 2 minutes long but difficulty that ramps up.

Suggestion: When having to restart levels, particularly when you're going for certain achievements like the patience ones, it would be really nice to shorten the amount of reloading time before we get back into the action. Having to die and then sit through about 5 seconds worth of unskippable screens was kinda annoying. Maybe an option upon death to replay the level?

Under rating threshold (show) This game is well put together for what it is. What bothers me is that the difficulty level depends mostly on the feast or famine of getting P powerups. When I get 6-8 in the span of 12 seconds it's ridiculously easy, but the 45 seconds before that when I got none was nearly impossible.

Hurrah :P The second is to make difficulty a dynamic, player-based trait through the leveling system. This is fancy talk to describe the fact that the game gets easier when you level up, and if you're having trouble beating a stage, leveling up makes it progressively easier. However, in this game, the levels are a constraint to beating certain levels, which severely limits the variability in how quickly you can stroll through the levels. The same is true for certain relatively "stat check"-based stages such as getting 500 coins on stage 5. This stage can only be cleared by repeating stages several times, regardless of player skill. See if you can incorporate more ways of adjusted difficulty for the player and a greater range in outcome based on competence (skill). 4/5!

Under rating threshold (show) The opening screen makes it seem like hovering the mouse over the ship will give you mouse control of the ship but disappointingly it doesn't. This would be a nice choice if possible.

Under rating threshold (show) I know this has been said before, but the leveling system is pointless. The only reason it's there is to create an artificial barrier to advancement. If it gave some sort of effect, however minor, it would make far more sense. Some things I was thinking of, that would make it beneficial, is to have your level either give you more of a chance of bonuses, or to have the bonuses last longer based on your level. Outside of that, the x2 Exp bonus is a slap in the face compared to the x2 coins. Either way, great game, but that is a singular flaw that I simply cannot let go.

Under rating threshold (show) Difficulty is sporadic. First 4 levels are challenging but then you can grind level 5 for 3 minutes and buy almost all the upgrades. Then the rest of the game is kind of boring "surviving" for 5 minutes.

Guys, I believe that this dawn that you are talking about, is when you get the "gold x2" powerup, the correct thing to get this powerup is to show how far your reach to get the coins. Under rating threshold (show) This is not bad. I understand what you were going for but the leveling system slows it down. If it doesn't affect gameplay, make it visually change the ship. It's also far too easy as later enemies do not damage much and the powerups destroy all non boss levels. Lack of enemy fire from ships is also a problem.

Under rating threshold (show) First 5 levels were fun, the rest is just a slog. Other than the bosses, it boils down to survive till the third P power up, after that you're invincible. For the bosses... they are so weak that even without replaying any level even once I killed them before I even figured out how to dodge. You can just facetank most of the shots and still win without taking much damage, as long as you don't run into the body of the bosses themselves.

Under rating threshold (show) (2/2) About the luck, the more damage powerups you have, the longer the timer, which leads to you being constantly in maximum power mode if you get 3 powerups in a row, on the other side, you struggle if the powerups are stretched out in time and time out before you can pick another one. I think the timing should be reversed, long time out on first powerup, less with every other level. The enemies that shoot back is a nice upgrade, but still too easy, even with no life upgrades. In the next game I suggest not trying to please everyone with difficulty, but simply adding different levels of difficulty. I volunteer to playtest the hard one:D

Under rating threshold (show) There is a bit of a bottleneck on a level 4 now, you need to destroy ~70% of asteroids and collect all the coins from them to pass. Takes around 5 tries to level up enough DPS and magnetism to do so. Or some luck with powerups. Level 7,9 and 10 weapon upgrade is not very good since you get one bullet instead of two, which is bad for the asteroids that break into small pieces. Level 22 is skipped because you gain too much xp in levels before that. Level 24 and 4 are the only ones which took more than 1 try. And level 24 only because of bad powerup luck. (1/2)
