I have to agree with what's already been said. a) The aiming for the hits is off. Half the time I aim right for them and I miss point blank. b) They hit SOOO much harder than you do. The difficulty scaling is way off. If you are going to scale that level of difficulty, you need to award more exp
A new version has been uploaded and the first few waves are easier. I have beaten the game a number of times myself, but there's some issues with the last few waves. I'll be working on those and the difficulty over the weekend. The goal is to have most people who haven't played it before have to retry once or twice, but still be able to beat it. There should be another patch by Monday.

DEV - You may have worked on it but I still can't hit the enemies most of the time even when POINT BLANK even on level 1. Something about the mechanics of the game just feels OFF. 2/5 in it's current state as it for the most part it is not playable.
I'm releasing a new build every week or so. There is a miss chance, but there's also a skill to overcome that. I'll be tuning the mechanics as I continue releases. Thank you for the feedback!

general rule of thumb. If you cant beat your own game, you've made it wrong (and that's assuming you're not cheating obviously)

hmmmmmm can't survive night 2, that is a BIT harsh
Still working on the difficulty. It should be a bit easier now, but I'm also not expecting all 10 waves to be beaten on the first try without a "Try Again" EDIT: New version released, and difficulty has been lowered.

I like the concept, but: 1) The combat is a little too tricky; I get the feeling you're going for a Dark Souls thing, which is fine, but Dark Souls combat is more than just a stamina meter. I either get in a pattern where I hit every time safely, or one where I can't attack without being hit. This needs... something, but I don't know what. Definitely get someone else to test difficulty, you may be too close to your own game here to judge what's right. 2) No way to get health back until after wave 3 is *really* harsh. This crosses over with... 3) It's not clear what camping is for when you get it, because at first it does nothing. Some overnight health regen should be standard, upgrading this should be night 2. Possibly just needs wider upgrade options earlier.
Thanks! Not going for Dark Souls, the woods are dark though. This is the story of a kid before they hit first level in any sort of standard RPG sense. He's not great. He knows it. But he also knows he's the only one that is daring to do something about this problem. I'll make camping more descriptive, and I think you are right. There needs to be a number of choices at the beginning. As for what it's missing, I think that's more context. I'll be adding more of that as well. I just updated to add a death penalty for Trying Again. And I'm taking feedback for difficulty as well. So, thank you!
