Under rating threshold (show) Virozui, it's right where you'd expect it to be. Under Configuration (A.K.A. options.) The only real flaw I see, is the ridiculous font the developer/programmer decided to use. I can't tell what some of the letters and numbers are with how screwed up the text looks. Why can't people just use BASIC fonts? No, we have to have the curly crap or the warped digital crap that's almost painful to try and read.

Under rating threshold (show) The cons: your ship's hitbox is a bit big, you need to hold down mouse to fire, some weapons are mystifyingly bad (mines and multi-shot specifically), and the "offset" mechanic doesn't add much. The pros: generally good control and overall gameplay, the upgrade system feels good and is only just slightly grindy, and overall this is a pretty good game.

Under rating threshold (show) Interesting controls. When I glanced at the instructions I didn't understand what they meant until I played 1/2 of the first level. Would be nice if you could set the music to 1/2 volume instead of all or none. To those just starting, you move the ship and fire with your mouse. You target the enemies with W and then can adjust your fire to the left or right with A and D, respectively, to lead your target.

Under rating threshold (show) This claustrophobic arena shooter presents a clunky aiming system that aims to be "unique", but (like your ship's gunner) it misses the mark, and where it lands is only uniquely frustrating. Because the energy mechanic doesn't let you fire continuously (and thus retain mouse focus by holding down the button), your ship will inevitably stop chasing your mouse when you are cramped near edges of the screen. To add insult to injury, the player is burdened with an unforgiving hitbox that's actually larger than the ship sprite. Meanwhile, those chaser enemies that fade in can actually spawn right on top of your ship, breaking your chains without warning. While the game engine remains impressive, the resulting gameplay experience is disappointingly inferior to the excellent Voidgale Arena, a previous game by the same author. 3/5.

Under rating threshold (show) lol @ the backwards control scheme. being unique is fine, but when that uniqueness actually makes your game harder to play, that is not a good thing. the auto-aim is frustrating as it is incapable of hitting anything that has any degree of sideways motion, or is beyond arms reach. lv.10 is flat impossible with any combination of moving / not moving. there are just too many things going on at the same time, all of them slowly chipping away at you. and this is made even more frustrating with the controls and aiming not allowing me to shoot where i want. this could be a really fun game, but it has some weird as hell design "choices" that will probably never be changed because pride.

Under rating threshold (show) Seriously bad choice of controls, targeting should have been on mouse and movement on wasd as with any other damn multidirectional shooter! Autoaim ins quite worthless and manual aim is ineffective. Also: beta-reading the script wouldn't have hurt, as it's ripe with errors and plain bad english.

Under rating threshold (show) Having mouse for movement might make sense if there were somewhere to move to. Now it's just one, very restricted screen and movement is necessary only to avoid things. I prefer to aim with the mouse instead of having to manually adjust for every target movement or change targets. Make an alternative control version and I might play this. Now it's just annoying waste of time.

Under rating threshold (show) Alright, just finished off Loki. Eventually you do get used to the controls and they're fine...good even. The thing that drives me insane is the chain break..every 5 seconds it's..Chain Break! Pause.....Chain Break!..Pause!..etc. The other thing is that you have to beat Loki to unlock the last 7 weapons...that doesn't help me..I need them BEFORE the fight. Unless you really..really love this..there's no reason to play after that. So why the final weapons are only unlocked after the battle is beyond me. Besides those things though..I really enjoy it. Anyways..once you get used to it, 4/5 game.

Under rating threshold (show) Well, I hope these "unique controls" stay unique because they're terrible. If you're going to have a weapon that auto-targets, it could at least know to aim ahead of a moving target so it actually hits!

Under rating threshold (show) "Get ready for some fight"...."No need to sorry" Great grammar complements great controls. Some people seem to like it, but i really couldn't get used to it. The fonts used are also horrible. In smaller sizes they are very hard to read. It took me a while to figure out what the combos are and I still don't understand why it needs to pause the game to tell me I have a break and my energy is being refilled. It is also unclear what impact weapon proficiency has.

Under rating threshold (show) easiest way of farming gold is to repeat level 17. Just keep hitting around 75% chain (shouldn't be hard, just dodge the explosions) and letting yourself be hit once. You'll get 5k out of the chain break. repeat until millie appears. You should be able to do it 3 or 4 times. Since her fight is kinda hard, but gives out most of the money in that level, I recommend taking AMU02 and either beams or rockets (falcon has higher dps), or excalibur (fear not, it's surprisingly easy to get it). Once she's gone you should grab something around 66k, all of that for some barely moving targets and a dogfight.

Under rating threshold (show) Loki is really easy guys. I had 99 shield and attack, 50 energy, but probably could have done it sooner. Use Excalibur and 4th AMU, use overdrive early in the fight and wail on him point blank. By the time it's over, just dodge as much as you can and keep shooting. If you're slow, you'll be able to use overdrive a second time.

Under rating threshold (show) Needs tutorial. Controls are too atypical to just throw us into it and expect us to understand what it means. Give us time in combat to look around to figure out A from B at the start. Who is to guess that when your shield is down you die? Isn't shield conventionally supposed to be on top of your hit points? There are no explanation for shops, I don't know the weird shapes below represent weapons you can buy initially and was busy upgrading my damage. I still don't know what upgrades do, what proficiency do besides guessing they increase damage. This is coupled with the bad font. Yes we may figure out everything eventually, but it takes the fun out of the game and we don't even get to enjoy the story as much. This is at most good for people who like beautiful effects and cool weapons and shoot a bunch of things without knowing what from what. Could have been a much better game since I like the story and weapons.
