This is an improvement over the first version. However, it cries out for keyboard control. The enemies move to quickly to solely depend on the mouse to move and slash.

i like the fact that u can draw more strikes at once. it makes that first boss look so epic when u just go ape sh t on him and he cant do anything about it XD

Love the concept, this seems like something that should be a full console or computer game (motion sensors would be cool : ] )

I was a big fan on the first Straw Hat Samurai, but the sequel just doesn't do it justice. In the first one, the feeling of badass tranquility as you walked toward opponents only to cut through half a dozen at the last moment in one go is gone in this sequel. Plus, the entire feel is too fast paced, arcade action. I have no problem with fast paced arcade (I love those types), but I feel the slower handling of the first game was much better suited and executed. A fair game, but in my opinion, not nearly the beauty that was the first Straw Hat Samurai.

I beg you to make a smaller hitbox for the samurai... when I slash through a shield-guy, and arrive about two person away from him, I still get knocked up, not to mention when I jump over them, I still get knocked up... WTF?

Yeah, great game but it has many bugs, especially in the platforming section. I would not have made those platform jumps. It's not like he can ever fall off. Besides that i got stuck at the second boss, after he went up, the screen failed to scroll up as well. So i got stuck on some cliffs. The game should not have been released with progression blocker bugs...

The Straw Hat Samurai is back with new moves, air-combos, new enemies, new bosses… and more slashing and blood!
Tips:
1) Headshots are instant kills.
2) Your line needs to start below the enemy if you want to launch him for air-combos.
3) In level 2, you need to draw a line from one platform to the next in order to jump from one platform to another. Your jump begins ONLY at the start of the …v1.1k: Added Kongregate API

The first one was excellent, but this is just so so, maybe 3/5 at best. Also, there is a bug with the second Boss. He drops a bomb, flys off the screen, and never comes back. I'm stuck jumping around on platforms, unable to get to any other screen, or die and reset the boss fight.

boss strategy: giant sumo: uppercut him when hes about to attack. when hes stunned, attack him has many times you can (shunpo mode recommended). giant sumo with jetpack: go up and avoid his rockets and bombs. when you reach him, slice him. after a number of times, he flys some more and you have to chase him. more hits in shunpo mode counts as 1 hit. evil twin: hes just as you. black lines are his slashes. good thing he cant do shunpo mode. giant turtle robot: shoots rockets at you. shoot jetpack enemies at it for damage. attack the giant sumo at the top when he appears for extra damage. watch out for the later headbutts

I guess my school's textbooks not only left out samurai's that can move faster than the eye can see, but it also left out the fact that feudal Japan had working jetpacks... I hate budget cuts
