What is this crap about Kongregate not allowing 3rd party login systems? Considering other games have separate login systems including the first castlewars it sounds like bull the game designer was paid to put in here so you'd have to play it on the ninjakiwi website. x@

Great game like the first one, though I think I like the first one a bit better. After a while I got use to the interface and it was fine but at first it was a bit confusing. The game was an appropriate difficulty, beat the campaign in order (easy, medium, hard) in about an hour or so though with my adapted custom deck and strategy that I used in the first one. I also love the Practice feature, good way to test my skills against harder and harder opponents without having to worry about my rank going down from losing. It needs badges though!

It's not bad, but I think the reward cards should be better like the first and second ones are ok but there should be a passive reward for beating the boss such as letting you chose a type of resource maker (builder, soldier, mage) to start with 1 extra, or 2 extra damage for each attack or somethin. I think that would help people beat the hard levels because right now, I'm really not that bad of a player but hard mode is too hard- the enemies have huge advantages. Oh and guys I found out that it works well if you only use one type of thing meaning you hve all brick stuff or all attack stuff. You'll need to pick a couple others to get 75 cards, but there are some good ones 2 get. Also, I'm kinda confused- How come some comments saying they liked the first one better are getting rted up and others are getting rated down?

hard is in fact really hard, but in a bad way, it is nearly impossible to get anything up as they use curse and sacrifice X to kill 2X so your tuck at one or 2 resources per turn and then tnehey get trojan horses or other attacks that bypass any wall you've built up.

awesome game - granted there're some things castlewars 1 has over this, but the general awesome graphics are commendable and new cards add to the strategy (though it's a real bitch to be at the receiving end of the 2-for-1 thingy) 5/5. only major bugbear is the inability to log on as a member on multiplayer!

Wow - I LOVED the first one. I am not feeling this one - the display makes playing much more annoying and requires lots of darting my eyes around. Even if the cards don't have full info (we can get used to it over time once you familiarize), at least go back to the old meter system with colours and more visual instead of numbers. Still a good concept - first one got 4/5 (almost 5) - this one gets 3...!

good game deff miss quite a few things from the first game , o and when i've only got 15 minutes to kill the nija kiwi intro is HIGHLY annoying.

give me my 50 foot tall unrealalistic looking castle with self explanatory cards! I liked it better! though showing the troops attack was a nice touch.

The sacrifice one guy to kill 2 of the enemy is the most gayest thing ever created on the planet. It would be skillfull if it was 1 sacrifce for 1 kill, but its not, so it sucks. it doesnt even make any freaking sence.

on medium the computer is so afraid of losing it decides that its not even gonna make a turn and just sit there until i quit :P

updates are both impressive but slightly flawed at the same time.
sacrifice 1 builder for 2 builders is overpowered, and should either be ditched or changed to requiring resources as well.
in addition, resources need to be colour coded to allow easy understanding of the overall progress of the game; interestingly, the first one was very good at showing the resources... dunno why you decided to take a step back on this.
some new and innovative additions to the game would be very pleasing, such as trump cards, or passive effect cards.
keep at it and good luck. i'm sure with polishing, this can be one of those 'hit games' that many will play for hours on end :D

Sorry, but compared to the original...this one sucks. I'm not just wearing nostalgia goggles either, I've been playing both back and forth for a while...and this one sucks...

A slight let down. The first is better than Magic the Gathering, and while this updates the awesome, awesome rules succesfully, it is not only uglier, but also slower and clumsier to play and stats are harder to see! The first game looked even more amateurish, but it was endearing and personal and it showed everything very clearly. :( My suggestion: scrap the awkward everyman flash-game looks and hunt for simpler and more efficient board game looks and hire some poor(but good) artist drawing the next game. I also didn't like the campaigns structure. I'm still left for waiting for even further sequel. Nevertheless, Castle Wars series is my favorite card game, easily beating MTG and such. Awesome rules!!!

Magic Defense is a nice idea, but there isn't much strategy if the opponent is aware that it is being used (except for using a low-resource attack). It would be nice if it was disguised as something, like a random attack or castle build.

Loved the first one. For this new one, the graphics/animation are a nice upgrade, as are the new cards, but the whole interface is confusing. Resources shouldn't be in a single row, but in several smaller rows to easily look them up. Text wouldn't hurt either, or different colors. Card info should appear with just a mouse hover. Just fix the UI, please!

I liked the first one better. The reason I played it was because I liked to really see the difference in castle size when you build more and you have more than your opponent, giving you a feeling of power. But in this, I can't tell which one is bigger, and the castle is only a fraction of the size. 3/5

what's everyone's best strategy? boiled down, mine is tavern builders with support from mage removes and ignore recruits except for a few theif and guard (walls) to bring deck up to 75. -- also, hard mode is driving me nuts! if i had not just seen the last few dumb commanders slaughtering their OWN recruits and mages while i was already 1/1/1 i might have quit.
