Beyond all reasons, I gave this 4stars. It's awesome & all. but then it makes you aggravted making you yell to your computer "COME ON LET ME WIN ALREADY!". I don't have a problem with that, I do it all the time, but just, let there be a hint or some 'cheats' on how to win. aha!

Here's the link to some good decks (Post 10 has a fantastic one!):

Looking at the game, I see that the new features, the graphics, the campaign have all changed. However, I see that hard campaign was more luck-based than it was skill, along with all the imbalances I played through. It actually took me a few days until I found a killer deck (I'll provide link in another post). Overall, I'll give this game a 3/5. It would be 4/5, but the campaign killed me. :/

Even more luck based than the original - all vestige of skill has been removed. And you still ignored the biggest single bug with multiplayer. Wow. It takes real skill to make a sequel that is worse than the original in every way except for the graphics.

I bet u like this
A gift to you
that you will never ever suspect
A TROJON HORSE!!!! =P
btw, I think trojon horse is too overpowered in multiplayer (especially when u draw it at start)

also unlocking cards a bit faster would have been nice... finished easy and medium campaigns, got 2 whole cards for my trouble? and for some reason in the middle of the campaign but not at the end... where's my reward, dammit?

I used a pure building deck: 2 archer, 3 thief, 3 recruit, 5 guards, 5 mage, 5 pixies, 5 magic wall, 5 add crystals, 5 add bricks, 2 all crystals, 5 builder, 2 tower, 5 tavern, 4 babylon, 1 school, 3 fence, 3 all bricks, 5 large wall, 5 reverse, 2 of whatever. The point is to build a tower so quickly that the computer does not have its late-game advantage because you should win by then. I used this deck to win 4 hard campaign missions relatively quickly.
A side note: Since it is not skewed at the start, multiplayer games can be won quickly if you just focus on killing the other player. People are so concerned with adding in new mages and recruits that they are weak early in the game. The standard deck works well.

some UI enhancements: 1) change the resource display - they are all the same color and in a single block, and in opposite directions for the two players so they're really hard to compare. old vertical layout was better. 2) took me 10 minutes to find how to get to the main menu. 3) what happened to goold old mouse-over-to-see-description? three clicks to see what's going on is annoying! 4) add the old ctrl+click-to-discard option, three clicks to discard = annoying.

Btw, those were tips on the final hard boss I found here on Kongregate, I couldn't fit it all in so I edited it a little.

Here's a strategy I found here:
Remove all hit cards except for trojan horse, wain, ambush, and archer. Put all of those at 5 except archer, which can be 3 or 4. He'll have a huge wall after a few turns, so the direct damage cards will be pointless, but keep archer in to get rid of magic shields. Recruit, mage, and builder, and all of the add material cards should be at 5. I'd advise having all remove material cards set at 0 since he usually has a huge stockpile anyways. Have 4 or 5 magic weapons cards in for X2 attack. The rest of the stuff is up to you, though I'd advise not having too many build cards (despite the fact that I ended up winning by getting to 100 my first time, but that was because I hadn't set up my cards as much as I would've liked to.) Start by focusing on getting resources, using the add material cards to pay for production cards. Then try to use trojan horse with magic weapons on him, and finish him off with the other attack cards.

I would be so, so happy if my decks from campaign would save so that I wouldn't have to make them all over again for multiplayer.

A tip for hard mode: Recreate your deck. Make it basically a building deck (i.e. very few attacking, a lot of building) and keep maybe 1 or 2 of any card that requires more than 10 of any resource, because unless you're lucky enough to not have the AI use "Kill Recruit/Builder/Mage" you prolly won't have a lot of resources. Stick with small attacks (Platoon is amazing) and get rid of brick based attacks (Catapult, Battering Ram). Just work on a wall (roughly 15-20) and expand until you win. Also, make your you recreate the deck so you have 5 of each of the following: Builder, Mage, Recruit, All Weapons, All Bricks, All Crystals, Add Crystals, Add Bricks, Add Weapons. They will help tremendously. And scrap Spy and Sabotage (sp?). They are useless in Hard mode. Hope this helps!!

I've noticed some serious problems with the AI, they use Sabotage to get rid of trivial cards (Like an Archer) when I have something big that I can use on my next turn to kill them. They also commonly use Sacrifice cards when I only have one of that unit, wasting their own units for nothing.

I don't usually comment on games, but this is one is horrifically unbalanced on hard. Based entirely on luck. To win you need a long-term strategy that can be entirely thwarted in one turn by the enemy. Very hard to build up resources. Also, the creator doesn't seem to care to address the problems with multiplayer drop-outs. Hard to rate this above a 2 as it has stepped backwards from the first game in all but graphics.

I love how I was losing on the hard campaign and then when I turned the game around and was back on the offensive the AI refused to do his turn. What a dick. :)

You should encrypt key number & card number in the SOL file, this is easy to edit and make a way to transfer key/card/deck between computer.

Hard campaign isn't that difficult if you build your deck well and play precise. Still there is some luck involved, but that is the game.

@Teillu: multi-player is loaded from mochiads.com so if you use some kind of adblockertry turning it off and see if it solves your problem

i absolutely had no problem with hard campaign, only lost once... but i tried to build the 100 storey castle, not to raze the enemy castle

Why on earth do some of the "Asian" castles have "yoghurt" written all over them? That does not in any way make sense.

I played with a good deck of both attack and defence no special specs AND I WON HARD CAMPAIN EASYILY! it's al about luck in the end :) .. well one battle I won with 1 life left (exactly 1) and others I won just due to magic wepons then ambush or horsy! I felt better for winning via DESTROYING!!! yeahhh
