Completely stuck on Campaign 11 (of 12 needed for badge), because I don't have enough SP for the tutorial's required upgrade. Just terrible design.

Wow this.... is garbage. There's basically zero real strategy because rock-paper-scissors you effectively automatically win what you counter, so there's zero reason you should basically lose any fight ever. The tutorial being straight up broken doesn't help, where it tries to demand you do something it doesn't give you the resources to do.
Well it does have a strategy later. Why would I want to allow new players to use some complex strategies at the first day? It is later. When you upgrade maze to level 5+, then you will notice that you need a lot of strategies overcoming strong towers and it will not be that easy as at the first day. The tutorial was designed for an optimistic gameplay where player does what tutorial asks. But I noticed at some parts it may be misleading - working on fixing that. It gonna be better next time. This tutorial is quite fresh, as the game had just recently a new major remake, just a week ago.

@ daexion the tutorial didn't verbalize "conquer castles for new stuff" but it did show that mechanic with pikemen and horses before that point

"you should use Axes" and proceeds to only allow the player to only use horses.
I'm not interested in a game that has a tutorial that explains nothing and ends up forcing the player to simply brute-force the game for the BotD.
The tutorial is endlessly broken and is yet another example of poor design and implementation.
hmm i didnt design to be like that. It was some unusual experience which i didnt encounter my self. Gonna try to reproduce and fix that. Sorry for that

I'm some how stuck on campaign 9. I'm lvl 4 and need a little more exp for lvl 5 to get the pikes and finish the current part of the maze.

This game has potential, but badly mired by confusing game play, poor tutorials, and most of all, really laggy/glitchy gameplay. This game is in desperate need of optimizations. I've stumbled through poor tutorials, but when it takes as long as it does to load basic game elements, there's issues that just can't be ignored. Maybe next time it hits BOTD there will be some heavy back-end upgrades.

I upgraded skills faster than the tutorial expected and now I can't advance because there aren't enough skill points to satisfy the tutorial. Is there a way to bypass?

hlopess, the best place to easily complete the "Conqueror Badge " is the wilds, 15k is much easier than most would imagine

I see you (the dev) replied to my last comment. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a tutorial, but constantly spamming animations is a pain. Remove the animations and make it a read-only tutorial and it'd be a lot smoother.
This game is so unique that without a tutorial 95% of players have no clue of what to do :) But the tutorial is a part of the game. Not like in other games, where tutorial is not related to the real progress. Here you are already doing real progress with the help of tutorial.

I'm really annoyed by this, it'd be actually playable if you just remove that 5 minute cutscene that teaches you interactions. And it occurs multiple times.
It would be then totally unclear what to do otherwise. Thats why the cutscene is mandatory. Its a totally new game genre and there are no other games similar which would have teach you before.

After so many months I still didn't get the missing Global Points tho I was promised it would get fixed. As long as this isn't the case it doesn't make sense to continue playing, which is also why I stopped.
Oh thats strange. I though it was returned/fixed to everyone. I remember doing that, how could i miss your account. Please contact me so it will be fixed.

Want to skip that stupid slow battle animation? Should be a basic feature and would even be better for the server to have it removed. But, nope, gotta pay for it! I can't support a game that locks basic features. Premium items should be things like extra skill points, gold, perm power ups. Not simple QoL options!
The battle animation clearly shows the damage and helps understanding the power of your units. Later in game you can get quite easily those 50k gems and unlock feature which removes the animations. Thats free, costs just some gems which are gained for free, for activity.

This is only the start of the day. Every BOTD is usually earned by 10-20k people everyday. If the server can't even handle more than 30 people, I expect the server to crash when it reach the thousands. I am logging off the game to give a chance for others to earn the BOTD.

That happends when there are 3x more players than ever at the peak before. The servers just cant keep up with so many online players. Its because of the Badge of the Day. Will be improved the next time, as this wasnt known, wasnt planned about that big amount of players.

Soon will be an update to let login only if there is not reached limit of max actively playing users. As current server can hold up to 30 actively playing users, right now it exceeds 60 and the lag is huge. But only for today.

I'm clicking to place a tower where the tutorial hand is pointing in campaign level 7. "Invalid Field parameters. Please report to the admin" it says. Well here you go, admin... I've tried placing towers in other places, but that just gets my castle burned to the ground.

I guess because there are way too many online at this moment. I didnt expect 110+ online. its 3x more than the peak ever before. The servers cannot handle that. So it is very laggy. Maybe try again later when there are not so many players online.
Ah yea, I forgot that recently the badge thresholds were changed and i had a temporary fix to adjust them. Now fixed. For the ones with the old client version will need to reload the game once reaching campaign 12. But since the reload campaign levels will start syncing properly.

Just informing, that the game is updated and now Bishop is unlocked at Campaign 12 and Rooks at campaign 26 - those campaigns needed to accomplish the badge requirements. Waiting for Kongregate response when they change those numbers.

To be clear I already had easy and medium badges and spent a lot of hours on the game (got to power 1789789), so it's going to be really frustrating if I have to begin from scratch now...
This game is resetting every 9 weeks. Everyone starts over. If player survives the apocalypse before the server restart, he gains Global Points, which are very powerful and can be traded directly into Gems. Also now more Kongregate badge-related progress is also cross-server (like Fields).

Is there no way to recover my progress? I haven't played in a few months and it's showing as if I've started a new game (although it remembered my username with a (1) beside it)

Even the 'follow along instructions' are incoherent and confusing. Ditch the confusing 'chess' complexity and lean into the fact that this is an obscure point-and-click 'strategy' game.
You can ask in game "Xslaughter" or he did nearly 200.000 FIelds in-game within 2 months (1 season until it restarted). He is very active and playing on this next season.

Somehow my save data is lost and the game starts from scratch, and now I can't even get through the tutorial thing, since I have disabled the "one-click build tower" option and the option page is not available in tutorial. Not to mention the heavy lag when scrolling map or moving units. No reason to start everything from zero again. Bye
This game is restarting every 2 months. And today it restarted. Players need to survive the apocalypse, which is happening at the end of the server and get cross-server global points, which persist between the servers. Also, there is a low chance to get Orange items, which persist also between the servers.
