I kind of feel like I should be able to get past the first dungeon with what I start with, character and ability-wise. I'm tired of grinding...

every time i see a card "upgraded" to cost more to use without adding any benefit it makes me ragequit. then i think, screw that card. i will play without it. then i see another card cost more to use...this game is really starting to piss me off

Nice graphics upgrade, the introduction of special ability options and different flavors of gear is nice, but not being able to scrap redundant gear combined with random level ups gets frustrating. Also some of the game play changes from the original are not as intuitive.

hey y'all, strongly recommend using recipes - this is a game where using the items provided is necessary in some points and always a good idea to make the game flow better, as they'll help you avoid the grind or at least make it less tedious, particularly the attack-up recipes. Cooked meals are also pretty good for gold generation in early to mid game, especially the slime soup recipe.
Also Fury (red card) + Strengthen (yellow) will decimate just about any encounter. You can one-shot some bosses with it.
Really enjoying this game, certainly less repetitive than every other idle game topping the charts right now.

Bug: Sometimes when I start the battle, there appear extra dummy characters (At least in the screen I see 8) below my five character. Whenever this happen the game become super slow... Could you please fix it~
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you continue doing other missions you start to collect them. Also if you open that door prepare for overpowered enemies.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
lots of thing that needs fixing, in general the grind makes your spell level up and cost more which i don't necessary want. let us choose the level of the spell up to the maximum available to us.
And a big problem for me is that i thought that we were suposed to kill the archmage in level 2 because i did not have the hunter in my team... been grinding for hours...

The auto-leveling of a spell cards is actually a penalty. I just had a card level up to 2 and the effect didn't change, it just costs more now. It would be really nice if the card upgrade was something you did manually from the same screen you equip the cards.

not a bad game but the struggle with beating levels is too big. I reached lvl 7 and I feel like I have to force myself to play. I think that this is the main issue that lowers the ratings

I actually love this game, but right around the time I opened up the 7th level, it just became so grindy I began to lose interest.

Definite bug, if you get the "Your out of combinations use skills or items then end turn" message (for me was the lich king thing on level 2) and you use a skill with the message popped up, it will stay there even if you ended your turn. it also stays there if you run from the battle and come back, but it doesn't let you end your turn, just covers up all a lot of the playing board. You have to exit the area and come back for it to go away.

teleport allows you to come back to a point when you exit the quest, so you don't have to beat every ennemy to reach it again

Nice graphics. Decent music. I love the pop-up book theme! Some really nice overall polish. But, as others have mentioned, it does get a bit grindy later on, which gets in the way of the overall story.
Out of curiosity, I revived my old account at Armor Games to see what was in the "premium" shop. Four characters can be unlocked for $18.00 ($15 if purchased all at once.) Then skill cards can be purchased @ $2 for a 2-pack or 25 for $15.
By comparison, a game like Fallout New Vegas (game of the year edition) is ~$20 on steam, and has a much better fleshed out story, graphics and gameplay...
Dangerous Adventures 2 is a nice free game, but not worth the price of the premium content. Neverthelss, I'll still give it a good score for the effort put in. And it's completely playable without the premium content, if a bit grindy. 4/5

I like that you have the symbols in the tiles to distinguish them for those of us who aren't good with colors, but could you also place them on the gems up top, and maybe on the monster cards as well? I can easily pick a matching set, but I've no clue if it will do full or no damage...

gosh, maybe is too much, hmmm not... is REALLY too challenging to finish this game, took me almost 3 days, too much grinding, and also after you pass level 4 the card get too much expensive, i think your card have to level up, coz you are grinding, but without the mana increasing, with this the game will be more balanced, if not you have to grind like crazy!

There should be a way to go back to lower floors in the Infinity Tower, or at least a warning you can't go back down.

The fact that you can't sell cards and that you can't past level 2 without major grinding is really a shame - otherwise interesting... needs card selling so we can at least have a chance and the purchasing without being able to sell cards is way too expensive for how much gold you get each room

The mana system needs a lot of help; it's the most unfinished part of the difficulty curve. As it stands, I'm not strong enough to progress without grinding at all, which is a fault of any game. But if I grind levels and equipment... the mana my spells require jumps up exorbitantly. Which sort of defeats the purpose of grinding; at higher levels, I need those cards MORE often, not LESS. Seems to me that leveling up a card should make it cost LESS, not MORE. 3/5 stars; the game is fun--right up until you hit that scaling problem.

for the love of god, swap the order of blue and purple! Purple is made by mixing blue and red... so taking full damage from purple and half damage from blue and red would make sense that way. It would then put blue-green-yellow in order too!

how come when you tame a monster with a higher attack sometimes it will lower the attack to the old monster's attack level that you had?

OK, a definite improvement over the first one, but still feels incomplete. First, as many have pointed out, the grind is ridiculous. The mana system needs a lot of help (why can't it be a buildable skill?) and the lack of a trading/selling feature is realy annoying. I have absolutely useless cards that I can't get rid of. Also, the purchasing system is horrible. Enemies drop gold in either single digits or not at all, yet a basic potion starts at 70. Unbalanced and unfinished are the best terms I can apply here. 3/5 - but room for improvement.

This is a phenomenal game and has a long time of potential play. If there was a mobile version of this game with a base price that includes some of the bonus paid content that is available on armorgames I would absolutely be willing to pay 5$-8$ for this game. Also a game like this is great to see with the mass abundance of idle games out there.

VeridianOphidian* You can still use cards you just have to equip them again. It worked for me. Also found out that if you give 'dead soup' to gourment something bad will happen and you he will try to eat you. LOL

The final boss is just ridiculously over powered... How does one defeat something like a gold dragon with immune to everything and heals itself almost every turn... Even if I have heal 50 meal on all heroes I would NOT be able to win as it would look like an infinite loop of heal and dmg??? I don't understand how would anyone manage to defeat the gold dragon... did I miss something or is there a trick with which I can defeat it???
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it's a little annoying that the mana system means that whenever you go to an area you have to farm a bunch of easy fights instead of going straight to where you're supposed to be.

So where do I go after I defeat the wizard on level 12? Says I'm only 80% done, and I have to get rid of the curse that doesn't let me use cards.

the cooking mini game is dull and since you never get anything besides good quality if you have any skill it feel almost like its sole purpose is to waste your time. if it had different qualities of food weather its 90 or 9 5i would find it fun but it doesn't so i don't
