this new design of kong makes it impossible to play in window mode. full screen is also not helpful cause i close ingame windown with esc, but no i close fullscreen with that. so i think i quit kong and play RPG MO directly

@toreibjo, that's because he does not sell anything, he is not a merchant. In case of trouble / questions, just ask in-game, most people are very friendly and will be happy to help.

@ Yamamba: Yes, that's exactly it. They don't want you to idle or use bots. On the flip-side, if you get a captcha prompt and follow it, you get a reward.

To get the Eagle Eye badge you need to get your accuracy to 10. First go to the gear wheel, first on the left of the top right panel in the game. Select fighting mode and click through the options to select "accurate". This means that fighting will improve your accuracy (and health). Then fight passive gray wizards in Dorpat around the (30, 40)s until your accuracy improves to level 10. You can fight other opponents if you prefer, the wizards worked for me. Once your accuracy reaches 10 you get the badge.

Don't cut down all the “thick trees”! They are a good source of sawdust (needed for paper) in the friend zone later on, and they cannot be bought.

I keep getting Captcha negative points. All I am doing is sending my guy to chop trees and then switch to a different tab. When I come back a few minutes later, I see that I got dinged... Are they expecting us to stare at the screen the whole time?

Apparently if I need to replay the tutorial I need to create a new account? For a game this fiddly there should be a better option for refreshing how to play. I won't likely come back to this game again under any circumstances.

I played this game once ages ago, came back to get a BoTD, and it's just drudgery. No idea how to play anymore. Needs a help section or tutorial repeat option.

I played this game on another platform (Steam), using the same account. Now I have different values for skills in game and in badge progress. For example, I had fishing 58 in game, but badge description shows progress 9 out of 30. Seems no way to sync stats. I had to obtain next fishing level for the badge to award - but it only updated a single skill, other skills are still wrong. So not only I have to spend ages grinding the skills to the required level, but then also more grinding to actually get the badge?

@Kosh67 Not a bug. If you check /wiki, raw eel can be used at the kettle to make eel soup at level 43, but can only be cooked to cooked eel at level 47. It's a bit quirky, but intended

Minor bug report: Raw Eel claims that I need cooking level 43 to cook it. I wasn't able to cook it for the first time until I reached cooking level 47, and YES, I did make sure I had it selected each time I tried to cook it. Whichever way this should be, please correct it. Thanks in advance.

Wow... now that I'm (somewhat) starting to get into this game, as grindy as it is, now I'm getting a message blocking out a sizeable chunk of the screen claiming that I'm already signed in. I guess that means that someone else stole my account. Oh well. At least it didn't happen until after I got all the easy and medium badges.

The tutorial is a little bit difficult, and the game requires me to use the touchscreen on my laptop for some reason. If you want to equip something, click on the item in your inventory.

@Kosh67: a) There is no need to fight for beginner fishing, the beginner fishing spot is right inside the town. b) clay is down the ladder on the left side of town, inside the town area. c) Market transactions do not need both parties to be online. If you bought from a player with a sell offer, then the item is in your storate chest now. (the forge is a shortcut to the weapon's section of the player market). Generally, I recommend asking for advice in the ingame chat if you get stuck. :-)

For fishing, you need to get a fishing rod, use it to equip it, and go to the southwest side of the island to click on the whirlpools off the dock to fish. When your inventory gets full, go to the NPC holding the fishing rod nearby, select raw perch/frog, and choose sell all. Repeat over and over and over and over and over again.

Last time I tried playing this, the game convinced me to leave my sword in a chest on Tutorial Island and some critter killed me and stole my fishing pole while I was trying to fish. Now I'm trying to do a quest, mining for clay, which I figure I CAN do since I have a pickaxe. Where do I do it? The NPC says I can click on the Quest tab and click on the quest to be told where I can do it. I do so and it says "Clay - Materials, right hand". Wow! Thanks! That's so helpful! Then I tried clicking randomly to explore and came across a forge. What does this do? OH CRAP! I CAN BUY WEAPONS! Let's see. I have 3000 gold. What can I get? OK, I can buy and iron flail for 2297. DONE! Click. Money disappears. Check inventory. Where is it? Click on forge again it says "[You are BUYING] Iron Flail" seller - troiana. WTF? I need to wait for Troiana to sign on and complete the sale, who, like me, might never want to see this game again? I want my gold back. What a pointless waste of time. I'm out.

If anyone's planning on getting the Fishing achievement, cook 'em for the cooking achievement. And then do the Accuracy one since that also can spawn as BoTD (and does quite often).

While you're working on the fishing achievement, make sure to cook the fish and frogs on the campfire so you can also get the cooking achievement.

So you want to do bot detection, but you use a method that gives you a ton of false positives because the game works in a way that encourages the players to play in a way that creates those false positives.
If you want the players to play actively, then clicking on a tree once to chop it should not fill your inventory. It should only give you one log and then you have to click another tree (Like how killing monsters work. Even aggressive monsters don't attack you when they respawn if you haven't moved). Players are playing inactively when leveling up their material gathering skills because that's how the game is designed, and then you implement a system that punishes your players for playing that way.

To those complaining about the captchas: When you are really doing nothing, no captcha will come because they are action-dependent. But standing still and crafting or fishing can trigger them. Movement plays no role, actions do.

I don't understand why being AFK for a few minutes (instead of watching my guy through every tedious minute he spends chopping wood) makes it likely I'm a bot who may need to be banned from the game. Surely just one captcha per session is enough to prove I'm human?

This game is really just clicking on one thing, waiting and then clicking on another thing. Slowly increasing useless levels until you've spent hundreds of hours increasing useless levels. Many other MMORPGs actually provide fast paced gameplay.
