Search is a bit annoying. It doesn't seem to list the most popular searched for bands with common names at the top. Sometimes not at all. It didn't know Ludo... The previous one's search worked just like Youtube, and listed the bands I wanted rather close to the top even if I wasn't logged in for the user preferences to kick in.
Great that I can pick individual songs now, so I'm not getting duplicates. I'd like to preview them first however... A problem I had with the last one was that I'd get fan vids instead of the song.
I like the particles but they hurt my eyes after a bit. Can we get the option to change the color set at least and possibly make them stop moving? They get distracting, but they're better than the plain background.
Other than my nitpicking, amazing work.

I noticed that the menu bard changed in appearance with this update... it their any particular reasoning behind that?
I didn't specifically modify the appearance, but every browser interprets HTML differently, so maybe you changed browsers or your browser had an update.

For some reason on Firefox next song doesn't load at all I can only play the first one, but works fine on Chrome. Anyway good work mate.

First of all i would like to say great job! I've been using Music Quest for a while and this is a really good update.
The only thing that bothers me is that i usually use the feeling-lucky list to discover new bands. I would love to be able to listen to the songs before i add them to my playlist instead of adding countless songs to my playlist and delete the ones i dislike.

It's useless to have hundreds of hundreds of songs if someone like me keep listening "Cemetery Gates". But it's my problem, I'm afraid. Good work anyway!

Fun fact: If you opt in to the HTML5 beta that youtube has then MusicQuest's videos will be in HTML5 instead of flash! http://www.youtube.com/html5

Hmm, is it possible to add a direct youtube search? Because I keep searching for something by name and getting remixes of it, for... some reason. Several things, in fact--I know they HAVE a lot of remixes, but to never get the originals? Seriously? O_o

Nice work with adding more changes. Although I still wish there were more keyboard controls, and that I'm feeling lucky (if it is indeed the top 1000 songs) is completely random, and that there's a top 1000 option which is not random (or you could stick with 500 like the pro version)

I've disabled the mini game. You can still interact with the circles if you want (but the collision detection will be worse). MusicQuest 2 should now work in Internet Explorer 9 and Safari!

There is a slight problem... In some songs (Ie. Locked Out of Heaven) their is a timed annotation at the beginning (It pauses the song for a moment) also annotations appear throughout the song... could you program it so it automatically turns on the hide annotation button....

Since the playlist repeats automatically, the scrolling should be cyclic like in MusicQuest Pro, ie the first song should appear below the last one and I should be able to scroll down to it once the playlist starts repeating. As it is, I have to scroll all the way up again.

Great job dude. You always do good work, and I find it amazing how you really pay attention to what people want :3. If only MMORPG corporations paid enough attention to feedback like you do.

Oh that would explain it. Didn't know about the scroll function cause I've been using a laptop lately, and disabled the scroll function cause it keeps on accidentaly activating

i can see the Music -but where is the QUEST? i loved the "game" feeling of the original Mq but this sadly feels like a cheap copy. needs way more gamer content to feel satisfactory for my gamer soul.

Better now that you can add all the songs from one genre (although I still wish their was a top 500 option)
My other major problem is that I can't use the arrow keys to scroll through the list of songs, genres etc. (Clicking gets tedious) The button to click to scroll down is extremely small, and the position of the bottom scroll button changes enough the first time its clicked, that if you double click it you will just scroll down one and add one song

One problem is with certain song names that are written in a different alphabet; these songs often don't play when their turn comes. You can still search for them and find them, or you can get them from a genre browse/search, and add them to your playlist, and save them on that playlist, but they won't play. (Interestingly, it was the other way around with MusicQuest Pro: you couldn't search for them, and if you got them on a genre playlist they wouldn't save on the playlist, but they would play).

1: (after search similar songs add button to ADD ALL) or (button add 10,20,50 similar songs to playlist, with one or two clicks)
2: delete button handling -> remove song from playlist
3: any upgrades like in idle rpgs would be great

New feature! Bulk Add: Allows you to add all of your search results to your playlist. Songs will be added to the end of your playlist and will not be shuffled (but you can press the shuffle button should you want to do that).

I really expected this to be better than the first one, but this is really a lot crappier than the first one, like, I can't even manage to find a way for playing a song...
