I really enjoyed the game, especially the keyboard puzzle. I actually thought it was done very well, although it may not have been as good as the first three.

i have to say... this one was average compared to the others. u know the problems as others have stated them... so i will not repeat them. the game it self was confusing and not really worth playing. the ending was abrupt and had no actual meaning... 2/5

Anyone notice the two Submachine references? The chair Von Toten sits in after the keyboard puzzle is from Submachine and the gadget that he's working on at the end is the compass from Submachine 3: The Loop.

Wait, I recognize that force field...is the point supposed to be that Von Toten invented the submachine? I do remember that at some point in the submachine series it said that the first submachine was invented sometime in the early 20th century. I do agree though that that's not a super final finale. It's still appropriate I suppose, but I'm not sure I'd call it epic if the point is supposed to be that they just quietly slip away and we have no idea what happens next...

So... after all this Karl von Toten is the one behind the submachine (or at least attempting to understand it). Nice one, tying both games together.

It took my a while to actually play the game, the first six or seven minutes were spent goofing around with the plane that moves as your mouse moves in the starting screen.

Yet another delightful foray into the black ops heroine Kara.
Full of atmosphere and a budding realisation that something about this is awfully familiar.
We now have a beginning, some wibbly bits 'round the latter half of the middle, the end approaching and all we need is a link between the (so far) unconnected bits.
I hope this was suitably obscure and will therefore not spoil anything.
Full marks as per usual. Brill game.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! the submachine, oh no not the submachine!! The brick walls, the force field, the device from the loop! Quick Kara, stop it before it's too late!!! ...hehe just kidding, I love the submachine!

is this meant as a prequel to submachine...? theres too many references to be easter eggs... and the forcefield etc is really similar... and von totens room is a submachine cell as well... is this the beginning of the subnet? all the equipment left by explorers in the later submachines most of it is in von totens lab... mind=blown

The keyboard puzzle missed a clue that you need to type "door" on keyboard. I tryed doing everything, from agent name to submachine, but not door, unless i looked through walkthrough.

wow i never saw the lead happen like that. Im awesome at submachine I was very satified with that game, I completed all of them, it even scared me once when i was playing 5

Covert Front gave me a great feeling inside when a moment could change instantly, similar to Submachine, which really turned me into an escape artist

Loved the whole series, not disappointed at all with this one and found a few easter eggs with the keyboard into the bargain! 5/5

Mateuszu, this one good but much worse than the other parts. Can you get back to the level you spoiled us with before? I mean in the NEXT PART ;)

I really loved it, although the puzzles felt a little pixel-huntingesque at parts, and the keyboard had me confused, but wasn't too bad.

yep, I agree... the story was a bit lame: it needed more action, the game had to be more "playable".. a little more action. And, of course, it needs a lot of clues...
what's done can't be undone?..

I don't see why the ending is so unsatisfying to everyone. (Spoilers) She rescues Von Toten, they escape, and nobody gets their hands on Von Toten's inventions. Seems pretty finale-ish to me. Sure it was a bit anticlimactic, but I rather liked it.
