"once we were shadows.
when she saw, me she ran to me.
then we walked together.
sometimes we had different views
And she was running away
without her i fell heavylike a rock
and i realized...
once we were shadows
now we are light"
sweet :*

@Nizzquizz I would agree with your comment on the philosophic nature of the game, though I suppose it could be argued that the nature of the comments on the nature of relationships could count as philosophic musings. I prefer to simply consider the game a modern form of poetry.

I keep coming back to replay this even tho I've 'beaten' it a handful of times. More games in this vein, MaTX222... Great music. 'Simple' story but wow... awesome... More. More levels and another one like this would be Sweet!!

If you plan on getting the alternate ending sacul 2000 said then be sure to get the normal ending first. If you do you'll be able to select the last chapter from chapter selection and try it out. Otherwise you'll need to do all the levels again before you get the normal ending.

I love how the closer the game comes to its close, the closer the couple work together, until the only way they both survive is by moving as one.

Games like this need their own category. All very moving. The gameplay isn't too hard and you are provided with an excellent and moving story as you progress. "Pure genius" is all I have to say to the creator of this game and all games like it.

The whole poem. . . The whole story line. . . It's coming to life! All those words. All of its intentions. The love between the two. It brings us hopes!

An absolutely beautiful art game. However unlike other art games here on Kongregate, this one actually provided a well-structured love story and amazing gameplay. First of all the artwork is flawlessly beautiful. Each point of the story also utilized each part of the scenery well showing the mood of the two characters, making everything mean more. The tone was very fitting for this kind of game. It will make people feel different while playing it. The sound effects, such as death sounds were impressive. The main selling point of this game though is the story. Overall this is an amazing game and the bonus level is really a "bonus". This is a standard most art Games should follow.

I could have sworn this was some kind of sequel to Company of myself lol, both the graphics and the writing style are exactly the same!
Nice puzzles, too bad it was so short. Looking forward to the sequel :)

This game is absolutely beautiful; a true work of art in my opinion. But there's one thing I do have to wonder. At the end, when the boy tells his love "I won't hurt you, not anymore"...he wouldn't happen to be referring to all the times he accidentally crushed her under a block or ran her off a cliff, would he?

A fine example, that portrays the nescessity to understand and interpret certains games as an art form. The game shows, that when game story and game mechanics are put together in the right way, it is possible to transcend the trivial meaning of both parts to make a meaning, that is more profound and deep. A meaning that certainly extends the game itself and the triviality of the love story. On top of this, the coop bonus mode has the potential to express this transcended meaning in a real life relationship in a way no vocal, written, or visual form is capale of.
If I or someone else is ever to formulate a theoretical framework, that portrays a new game theory as a unity of aesthetics, social relations and formal game logic, with meaning as the joined concept, this game could, because of its easy to access meaning relations, work as the basis for practical reference and analysis. A pitch for those of you who dont know what to write about in you next paper;) 5/5

Mr. Ebert, here is a game I can truly point to and say, "if this can't look at this and see art. then you are a fool." People who see video games as just a form of mindless entertainment need to really get their heads out of their asses.

On level VIII, when you make it to the ground, if you enjoy sadness for the characters, walk to the left and don't stop and there will be a more unhappy ending.

It was nice to play and passed time quickly. I liked how it repeated levels but the girl did things like running to you. I also liked the art and how they had you run to each other and not just some flag. 5/5 and favorited.
