@RobIsBored, it is possible to win with New Hope against a hard Temple of Snakes with 5000 funds, but you need extreme luck. If ToS builds an airfield, forget it, if one of the first few rockets is a nuke, forget it.
I eventually managed it by building 2 banks and crank up the income (using the pause for best time efficiency), and don't repair. Around when you get the first damage, don't use that bank anymore, it's sacrificial. I think I got around 70-80 income when I had the first nuke, and I timed it right to have 2 defenses pop up just after the nuke hit (again some luck needed). I spammed a few defenses till I had enough cash for a Laser at the very front, tanking damage. Upgrade the laser, and keep repairing it. Once it is upgraded, upgrade 3 defenses. Then crank up the income again with 3 banks (I went to 200+ income, overkill) and I finished off with tank spam, but you can choose whatever at this point. Good luck, you'll need it.

Playing New Hope in skirmish mode with 5000 funds vs hard temple of snakes seems impossible. Has anybody done it legitimately? What strategy works?

So when you loose a battle you have to start all over, no matter what level you play, easy-normal or hard, it is always hardcore. That kind of suck. I could understand if the hard level was that way but the two other levels?
THAT is just a waste of peoples time and to p*ssing them up and down there back.

just beat 5k smirmish on hard. Why is temple of snakes easier than temple of hope though? Would have thought opposite...

1/5 for not listening to players suggestions from previous game. 1. NEEDS A REAL SAVE NOT A PASSWORD. 2. Too much CLICKING for the queuing system. Please remove and add an AUTO BUILD. 3. The Economic building does not queue.

addition and the money making building's last line so that you can have defensive building's front line no barracks cause producing troops will like you said be too expensive in the beginning and otherwise you would not have enough money to increase you money so be careful.

anantgulia06 you should always put down 2 labour camps or whatever building it is that makes money for new hope and recuit prisoners or whatever the new hope does to increase it from 5 to higher amounts each upgrade of that gives an 5 extra income seems not like much but it really stacks up 5,10,15,20 with two double as fast before you know it you have 100 a sec or something like that i always aim for 200.

There should be a fast forward button to skip the boring fights like both you and enemy have no money and your money increases only 5. Till then 4/5.

Wow that sucks big time. I lost a mission...and used the password 4038F but the mission resets with no upgrades and I have no anti-ICBM defense. So my base gets nuked. The password is useless.

This is the first game where I've seen a "Reset" as a feature after each scenario. You really need a "Replay" button, not a RESET button. Reset is a Clear Progress Data and makes you start all over from the start.

ProTip: A tip for when you start, if you're at the first few missions, put three ATGM site's (Temple units), Gatling guns (New Hope units) at the front three spaces, then three resource buildings behind them and an infantry barracks. While you're using the resource buildings to get your income up, (A good income is about 155+/3 sec.), spam Assault units, (After oil is captured, flame throwers) then, once your income is high enough, sell the resource buildings and replace them with barracks and just spam the hell out of the enemy. After you have missiles available, use the same plan, only instead of three resource buildings, have two and a missile site. Then fire Bio-missiles at the base. Once they are firing you can sell the infantry Barracks and replace it with another resource building. (Make sure you have the income to keep up with the missiles) A stable income to cover the missiles is about $45+/3 sec.
