Under rating threshold (show) The gears do not count for anything, they're simply there to block up your harvesters from collecting the bits that you want, the gears don't take up space in your hull capacity either.

Under rating threshold (show) In response to the first comment: The gears fill the little yellow bar at the bottom of the HUD. When the bar is full, a random part appears for you to pick up. The random part is usually quite good, such as a good weapon that is normally reserved for later levels or a MOD that increases your damage by 25%

Under rating threshold (show) Nice game but has several fatal problems. It's quite common that to lots of developers that they didn't play their game till very end: 1. As mentioned in other comments, there's not enough ore. Simply by replaying game, you get more stars but no ore. Buying and selling stuff decrease ore. 2. You need all the fighting and shield regenerating equipment in later galaxies but if you pick small amount of harvesters, they are almost instantly full and do not pick up fuel and screwdriver for repairs (even if these doesn't need hasrvester storage). Developers should atleast once finish whole game. That way they will have to balance the gameplay. I couldn't finish last galaxy with MAXED ship in terms of firepower, shields and regeneration. In Galaxy Siege, you can't finish last galaxy without cheat engine and FIXED value of shields.

Under rating threshold (show) This game... it has potential, which is pretty much the only thing going for it. Repetitive gameplay, lack of grinding, no (noticeable) diversity in your enemies' strength, lack of animation, and a flawed movement/fuel system are all things you can improve on. You have an alright concept (it's been done before), but your execution was flawed- I feel like you rushed it.

Under rating threshold (show) Great concept. Needs better execution. Pretty much end up with a big flying rectangle of stuff. Maybe consider placement advantages. Placing engines along the bottom edge makes them more efficient, that sort of thing. Consider shrinking components so that ship and boss ships don't bump into eachother so badly. Although this would make the game more complex, consider giving hitpoints to the individual components. Once an individual component has lost all it's hitpoints, it no longer functions. Automatic resourceless repair upon returning to base, along with possible repair component for repairing on the go. Also, fuel and repair items should always be grabable regardless of cargo capacity.

Under rating threshold (show) It seem like each area has a set amount of stars/ores. Which basically means there is no point to farm. Personally, I prefer being able to farm up a lot of resources.

Under rating threshold (show) Ok, now I'm almost positive that the gears count as ore. Last level I was in a galaxy with zero ore, so I know I didn't collect any, and yet it still says I got a number of ore, so I'm assuming that's the case.

Under rating threshold (show) I think the gears might possibly count as ore, so they'd be like ore only dropped from enemy ships. That's always where they come from, and I can't see any other purpose, but it does seem like when I pick up a lot of gears my ore count winds up being way higher than I'd anticipated.

Under rating threshold (show) Have a problem with the swarm of enemies of the later levels? Nothing easier, if you can't beat them, avoid them! Just keep pressing right until half of your ship is outside of the screen and move all of your weapon on the left side (some regenerator help too).

Under rating threshold (show) Great game 4.5/5 if I could. Only 3 issues for me. 1. Missiles need to lock onto new targets if the original is destroyed, this is because when an enemy is sighted every single missile launcher shoots at it, then the enemy dies from 1-2 missiles and the rest just disappear, then you have to wait for reload. 2. I had to restart the game because I got to the last level with not enough regen modules and the shop decided not to stock them. Having set items spawning in shops instead of random would fix this, or let me visit completed planets to grind for items I cannot buy in other shops 3. There should be a re-stock option in the shop instead of having to die 3 times in order to force it to refresh. Really minor problems, the game was fantastic and I "want" to give you 5/5 for it :P but I'll settle for 4/5 give you something to aim for in a sequel, there IS going to be a sequel right? *Shakes Fist* There better!

Under rating threshold (show) When you continue you aren't given the option to switch galaxies. Also would be nice if the shop was able to restock for a fee of Stars since I always have extras. Asteroid count seems far too low due to the asteroid/star purchasing costs and no way to convert them.

Under rating threshold (show) Tactic for last level! Move all triple rockets on right side of the ship all other staff on left side, when fight start move your left part of the ship off screen and you can easily beat that level. Sure, put some damage boosters and energy boosters also put few item collectors on right side (I use 3 double collectors) of ship.

Under rating threshold (show) And one last thought : I didn't beat the last level very well. my loadout was 8x +25% weapon damage modules, 4x +60 shield, 7x Repair and the rest was all triple cannons spread out evenly through the ship. I stayed as far to one side of the screen as possible, this was I was only getting half the enemies I would normally encounter. It is a REALLY tough level.

Under rating threshold (show) Good game. Final level definitely needs a little nerfing. I did end up beating it, but not without wasting over an hour trying out different combos. Either I wasn't dealing enough damage to keep the enemies off me, either I was dealing too much damage and not enough defense. Triple Missiles : Awesome, unless the first missile kills the target, if three missile bays launched at the target, the first missile destroys it, the other 8 missiles are completely wasted, leaving you vulnerable. Do you see what the problem is here? You're much better off buying guns because you have MUCH MUCH MUCH less wasted firepower and better reload. Another thought, New Game + or the ability to replay levels you've already beaten. It would add to the fun.

Under rating threshold (show) Fun game, but there are a few things that I think could use some polish. First, maybe a way to restock the store, or a buy-back system. I almost sold all my resource bays on the last level, I didn't need them. But on my first run, I realized, "Oh yeah, repair kits", and added them back. If I had sold them, I'd be screwed. Speaking of the resources, if repair kits and gas don't take up space when the bay is open, then they shouldn't be impossible to get when the bay is full. I would have had almost full life when I fought the final boss, but I had to watch dozens of repair kits float by. Other than that, pretty enjoyable.

Under rating threshold (show) Nice little game. For those that forget to buy energy regen items ( they disapear from shop later ) you can beat last level with around 10 laser weapon/4drones/2fuel booster/10 damage amplifier/rest is shields. To do so put all your weapons and drones on 3 left columns, then at start of map just move your ship to the right side of map, so that less ships attack you.

Under rating threshold (show) final stage stumped me till i swapped out the missiles for the faster firing guns. the increased fire rate helps to negate the loss that occurs when your guns all fire at the same target

Under rating threshold (show) Missiles need to reacquire targets, otherwise they're just slow bullets. Gun fire should continue and hit whatever is after it rather than just disappearing when the original target dies. The last galaxy is way to difficult otherwise.

Under rating threshold (show) If I'm smart enough to fly between galaxies, surely I'm smart enough to get missiles to retarget instead of autodestruct. Also, the limiting resource is asteroids - stars seem to get in the way.

Under rating threshold (show) Don't know if it's been said, but the missiles should target new enemies after the target is destroyed instead of disappearing...if you could battle like that in space I personally think that smart missiles would have been invented ;). Except for that, awesome game =)

Under rating threshold (show) This is nearly a great game, but I seem to be stuck on the last chunk of the last galaxy. It seems like I don't have enough regeneration modules, and there's no way to get more.
