Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Rock your way from the garage to the arena as you aim to become the ultimate Guitar Geek!
How to Play
As the note markers hit the bar at the bottom of the fret board, press the corresponding key (A, S, D or F) in time with the track; the more accurate you are the more points you'll score. If you keep hitting the notes accurately you'll build up your combo which will multiply the points awarded even further. Keep the performance bar to the right of the fret board out of the red to clear the level and progress through the game. Clear all five levels to earn the title of "Guitar Geek"! For those players looking for a quality option, the quality is automatically set to "low" as the game doesn't use vector graphics, and so changing the quality would make no difference.
Developer Updates
Ok everyone, Iโve just added the Kongregate API to the game, so hopefully you should be able to submit your highscores now. Iโve also added support for the โHJKLโ keys for those people who are struggling with the โASDFโ setup. Please also note that you can use the โ1234โ keys if youโd prefer. I havenโt made the game any tougher yet โ the game was never meant to be difficult to complete, rather, itโs all about who can get the best score. If you want a challenge, remember that there is an โSโ grade which you need to be extremely accurate to achieve โ if you can do this on hard or geek then I take my hat off to you! ;-)
