I really don't know why everybody is complaining about the controls. I think it's just nostalgia and bad memory screwing with them.
After a little while to get used to them, the controls are PERFECT. Easy 5/5, still my favorite platformer of all time.

Anyone else having issues jumping? I can start the level, but can't jump again after that. Witholding rating until I can figure this out.

The controls in this game are laughable. Another one of those games that gets released and won't get played (a lot) because of the annoying controls and gameplay.

Good game but lacks of a way to exit to level select. It's frustating when you can't pass a level and you want to play another one.

oke so i play a ninja... and i'm the slowest thing in the game? also my lighting relfexes are at the speed of stone...

you know I think the sluggish movement kind of makes the game easier compared to the faster paced version on the computer, but I still couldn't believe that it was this popular to make an entire second ersion

If you speed up pretty much everything in the game by about 2x or maybe 1.5x, it will feel like the old N. Just play this and compare it to the old school game; the old N is faster; it's not the controls, the game is moving more slowly, making the controls SEEM sluggish when the actually have the same effect as before, just the whole game being slower.

I'm not sure what everyone's problem with the controls are; this feels exactly like old-school N to me. Great game, 5/5

Yup 1/5 for bad controls. Jumping starts really fast, then some weird in air control and then almost slow motion when falling down to go into a powerslide o.O And then i'm not even starting on going from uphill walk into horizontal grounds ...

My friend and I used to skip classes to play this game in the tech lab back in high school. I don't even care if its not the same, just seeing this makes me giddy :D

I'm giving this game a 1/5 until the controls become as smooth and dynamic as they were in the original. That was one of my favorite things about this game; the controls were so smooth for its time. Now they're so rough for their time.

definitely needs to be more responsive/faster character acceleration like the old version. I still have that as a flash game on my hard drive, i still play it regularly, and this online version is sorely missing the fast gameplay aspect that makes the game.
