Yikes. I like hard platformers, but the weirdly floaty, sluggish controls seem like the main obstacle here. Even making basic, simple jumps is incredibly fiddly.

For everyone finding the game sluggish, try playing in a fresh browser instance (quit your browser completely and start it again), or a different browser (eg Chrome if you typically use Firefox). N is pretty processor intensive

Nadavv, which part of 96-3 are you having difficulties with? Some general advice would be to go counter-clockwise, and stay within the groups of drones you started with. For the climb up, time your walljumps to avoid the drones, and for the descend, cling to the wall to give the drones below you some time to create space so that you can cling to the left wall after the mine. Oh, and you'll need at least 30 seconds worth of gold, preferably more. If you need more details, tell me which section you find difficult.

I am now suddenly running into a problem where the framerate fluctuates wildly. One second it feels like molasses, and the next everything's speeding along. Needless to say this game relies entirely on a stable framerate to even be playable. Fix it ASAP.

this game!! I remember this game, I'm sooo happy I found it again. If you'd fix the controls, it would be a solid 5/5

Are the levels the same as that old version? Don't seem to remember any of them so far, and I completed the game quite a few times :P

I will agree with top commentators, somehow the game feels "slower" then I remember. Like it's played at 66% original speed. But it's been years, and who knows, this might be how N+ was "supposed to be" and it just played fast on my 2.0ghz comp way back when.

Ok, if you are using Firefox, google if how to disable protected mode for flash. It slows flash games down. I noticed flash games running slower on firefox before, but here it ruins everything. I think other browsers dont have such problem.

Z is a bad idea for jump on PC games as it is a pain to play with a azerty and qwertz keyboard, and I'm lazy to change keyboard configuration

Oh my goodness. The nostalgia is like seeping through my bones. I'm thrilled that this is finally on Kongregate, it's fantastic. This game, while it might be old, is still one of the best platformers today. It just has this feel to it. And this web version is so much like the original, the only thing that needs help is the movement. My theory is either he gained thirty pounds or he is running underwater. So either make him lose weight or drain the goddamn place. Fantastic nevertheless.

I was so happy to see this, my dad came running into my room to ask me what I was screaming about after I saw there was a new N...
Who said college kids can't enjoy a good game?

Oh my GOSH! I literally freaked out from the sheer awesomeness that was your trailer! I grew up playing N (it was one of the first games I played) and I am so overjoyed to see a second! Thank you for supplying a download! I'm going to spend my life playing this now...

In case this isn't clear, you unlock a new colour for you ninja every time you beat a column. The first colour is maroon... not sure bout the rest...

You complaining guys are all a bunch of sissies. Back in the day I ALMOST [hehe, 88-4 ;)] finished this game with the controls just like here. If you ain't got skill, don't complain on the controls. ;) People did the same with meat boy.

the sluggish ninja is the antire idea of the game! Don't you think that the game would be too easy with easy controls? As for the lag: right-click and set quality to low, this helped for me. Great game 5/5!

Was the original N too responsive for you? Introducing new N, with clunky lag - er, randomized passive slow motion skills!
