Got to love DooM! I still can't believe you can play it online on a website like this, and i agree with you petergyro I don't even see it in bestbuy any more :( (I remember seeing it all the time there I love bestbuy) We should be able to play all chapters. When ever i want to play inferno i have to play my full version ;( and thats another thing I have full version why can't i play it on this?!

theres nobody for me to fight? im just walking around with nothing to do because there isn't a single enemy i thought it was a glitch but i treid play this two different times and the same thing happens

it was all about starting massive wars for me, find areas full of npcs walk between them so they 'accidentally' hit each other and watch the mayhem that ensues, sadly i think i spent more time doing that than actually playing the game the way it was meant to be played, well assuming it wasn't meant to be done that way :)

this doom is different to the 1 i plade when i was 8 coz the sounds when you get shot where better and when he died also the layout. this doom isnt as good as the 1 i plade coz i plade on the ps1 versions 1 and 2 but this doom is a bit to well not to effend but crap. im only playing cos i miss the hole doom thing.

wow. kids really compared doom to cod? talk about apples and oranges. though i'm sure their the same group that think wow was the alpha and omega of mmo's.

My father and I had a full version of doom...with cheats of course...the last level ,level 30 if I can remember because I was 6 years old when I played it....The last level in the lab.....is hard and mobs of monsters....impossible without god mode....so its great some is still playing it (P.S. there is more levels that the lab levels....also has at top of the earth, harder!

Has anyone else noticed that you can get shotgun zombies and demons to kill each other? Just make sure the demon hits the zombie with its fireball and they'll fight each other.

HAHAHAHA oh my god. You seriously thought that was a GOOD thing? That was making fun of the patterns modern shooters are going in. Seriously, CoD has taught you to like boring, super-easy shooters with no exploration, that hold your hand the whole damn way. Doom is an example of how a shooter SHOULD be.

oh, one day, i saw a UCC about DOOM. it had 8 soldiers Co-Oping for survival and it was *uckin awesome. i'm kinda sad that i can't share it.

ah yes. a legally free return to the birth of the first person shooter genre. this game wasnt the first 3d shooter, but it played a MASSIVE role in laying the foundation of how the gaming industry planned to tackle the idea of new technology to present to a traditionally 2d gaming audience. some people may not think about it much today, because the formula for a successful FPS is widely known. but the industry had a lot of different ideas out there at the time, and most of them sucked, and were awkward at best. wolfenstein 3d, doom, these are some of the games that started doing it in a fashion that nobody really argued with, and in turn, started mimicking. years later, voila! a brand new generation that rates games like these as failures, as if the 1st person shooter genre had been around in its current state since the days of us throwing rocks at our shadows.
