For those struggling with the hard badge, look at the first page of the "best" comments for the game and you'll see that a snake-like wave without jumping is the best for gaining speed. With this tunnels and gates appear quickly and are actually quite easy to gather, and an 80 combo becomes easier (not easy). To this I would add patience. If a jump comes along, just jump it and dont fret over the combo. They'll be other chances.

Pretty fun game, the only problem I have with it is how harsh the penalty is for missing even one gate.. it's like a 50% speed reduction and your multiplier goes down to nothing.

I actually really enjoyed this.Though, I kind of wish there were options to turn off the jumps and red gates in exchange for your scores not counting. A free run mode would work great with this game.

Strategy and tips (1/2):
--Nothing is more important than a high multiplier. Obviously, hit as many gates as possible; missing even one can dramatically bring your multiplier down. When you buzz the tower (pass through a gate while in mid-air) you will increase your multiplier by at least 2 (instead of the normal 1/gate). This can dramatically increase your multiplier, especially early in the game.
--The secret to buzzing the tower is very mild motions. Don't overdo it. Make sure that you don't arc up so high that you risk passing unavoidably over the next gate.
--Don't fear jumps (blank spaces where you can't paint snow). When you’re moving slowly, you’ll need to add a little uptick/jump to ensure he can cross the chasm; once your multiplier is in the 20s or 30s you can safely ignore them altogether; you will easily pass over them.

I sometimes youtube the actual song so when i go fast I can still listen to the music, it feels more intense faster the music goes, the faster you go.

Losing the headphones is cool after the first time... But it gets annoying as you get used to the game. I wish it was an optional feature.

There should be a "Top Speed" highscore aswell. And a round summary after you die should contain more informations. And when you have to jump or avoid a death gate, you shouldn't lose your multiplier. It would be great if you add loads of in-game achievements, like in Epic Coaster. I've been playing this game for half hour now and I love it already. 45mil is my best so far, I died trying to screenshot my x136 multiplier (which is not reporting for me, by the way). Great game sponsored by Kongregate!

aaaaand I managed to glitch the game. After going super-fast, I made the Solipskier jump, accidentally put a flat wall in front of him. He does the spinning animation where he drops his skis over and over again, constantly going forward and accelerating reeeeally fast. After 900 kmh I refreshed the page. Still a great game tho.

The missing of a gate stops your multiplier is not a problem that the creator needs to fix. This is part of the challenge of the game.

Finally. For anyone else going for the hard badge...all I can say is just keep practicing and practicing and practicing. You'll be amazed at how good you'll get. Getting your multiplier high isn't the hard part, it's keeping it high. The best way I've found is to use a combo of long up and down hills to hit the gates (so you don't go flying and miss them), making sure to hit every tunnel gate you can, and when you're going fast (say 90 to 100 km/h) make steep jumps so that you launch high. If you pass a gate while above the screen you'll get multipliers. If you're going fast enough you can clear 3 or 4 at once. So yea, a combo of getting gates, making sure to nail the tunnels and launch yourself up when at high speeds over gates. The jumps you don't need to worry about if you're going fast enough, you'll just fly over the gap, but avoid the red gates at all costs, it's an insta fail. Just make sure to see it coming and jump high above it. Good luck.

In case anyone's wondering about the unusual name, it comes from the word 'solipsism', which is when one believes they are the only person actually living in the entire world, and all the other people are robots or androids or weird moving humanoid things or something. Maybe they called the game that because there's only one person in it. Idk. :S

EVERY time I crash, stick guy just stays at the bottom, never dying or rising again. I always have to restart, and would love for this to be fixed.

Playing this game only reminds me of how much I miss Ski Stunt Simulator over on Addicting Games before it became popular enough to DDOS their site forcing them to take it offline. So much for this BOTD. :-/

Bah, badge of the day.
I got the medium badge just by 1mph, i got to 71mph and i had a multiplier of 63 when it got halfed and i gave up.
