I feel that technology points are the primary mitigation against the 'grindiness' on account of them being immediate rewards that are always useful and I believe additional rewards from this system would improve longevity, perhaps have them also increase the special stats on parts or have milestones that unlock parts or give resource bonuses, especially later in the game where it gets slower e.g. 200% Drill tech unlocks an upgrade on D3 whirl that increases max speed.
Also, this game is designed really well; every stat is consistently useful, constantly incentivising upgrades, and the unique upgrades on parts make each part stand out, and this is on top of the great art and UI design. 5/5

I'm stuck at the first screen. It says "Commander, we have no energy for the jump." and there is nothing to do, no button. tried clicking around, reloading. changing size of the screen, hit all the keyboard buttons. Can't continue to play the game.

Issues of lag aside (I'm sure you've heard enough to know it's the top priority), I'm very much enjoying it. Even though it's light on innovation for the genre, it excels in other aspects for me, notably the music--the contrast in the main theme's dynamics for the upgrade screen is great, and the riff on that theme for the drill launch is absolutely *fantastic.* My harsher points--early on, it's difficult to distinguish resources from rocks, both in texture and color; the technology bonuses aren't explained much; I'm not sure whether there's anything to do with the "messages" I've uncovered; and most problematic, I still have *no* idea what the green downward arrow bonuses are. Seriously. (Sad face). But I'm always critical on things I enjoy, because they speak to your talent and sense of creating good gameplay. 4/5 for me!

For those finding gathering plasma to upgrade (or gems) to get the later upgrades: get 100 plasma and activate the jump first. You'll find a LOT more.

The idea is decent, but FAR TOO GRINDY. Hell, it almost seems like a King game to me (as far as progression speed goes)

What needs changing:
Some unlock conditions. To get better drill, i had to drill diagonally just to mine more blocks without getting killed or overheated.
Number of obstacles and enemies. The only way I could reach the core is maxing out Wasp and Circle, equipping a thermo booster and rushing past bugs and lasers like a madman, dodging everything. Other setups have failed.
Grinding for last-gen. The challenge of getting plasma is understandable, but amount needed for upgrades is too high. And while you grind, you have a lot of "material', but no way to spend it: there is no consumables. This feels wrong.
Finally, mines. They do heat damage. That's awful. We have bugs that increase heat. We have lasers that heat. We have core blocks that literally melt your drill. Getting some HP off is enough punishment! Oh, and it would be great if damage inflicted by mines depended on distance - blast (or heat wave) travels through ground, that would make sense.

Finally, a mining game that is fun to play. Gameplay is entertaining. Each new unlock is not just upgraded, beefier version of what you had, but a new item with unique properties. Components are well balanced. Unlock system is good: there is no grinding until you reach the core. Unlocks are not done with exp or money, you get what you invest in: want better engine - invest in power, drill faster, and you'll be able to unlock more powerful one. Want new battery? Invest in capacity, drill for longer and voila. I really like that system.
And all "Slot" items make a difference. Pity there is no speed booster, would love to have one ;)

Hull 3 appears to be the best one for grinding late game mats. It is the fastest so you fly by the pointless layers, and being small has quite a lot of advantages in this game. Mainly less lag at the lower depths, but also you are breaking less blocks so you take less mining damage.

I made it to the top tier items and I can safely making them cost as many diamonds to upgrade each time as it did to unlock them in the first place is dumb as hell.

Could you at least make it so that if you destroy a purple lazer you get your energy back? Theyre making it really hard to progress very far into the lava. Also the 10 plasma per upgrade requirment for the second to last tier of items slows things down way too much. you should require 1 or 2 plasma per upgrade at most imo, if any.

Spoiler ahead:
reach 500m in 30 sec on red planet. SRSLY?! i do have all but two achievements for the red planet but this one is insane. With my fully upgraded and latest hull, turbo, engines, slot, +246% to power i do have 2422 total power, 10.4 max speed. With all that i'm barely able to reach 300m in 30 sec and i use turbo for energy also i do have max destroyer. It is bad because the only way i see is to grind for more Power tech.

Ok, I get that nothing about this is realistic... but an armada of underground laser cannons? Who's maintaining those things? The drill-eating bug people?

Congratz to the developer! You have waisted 2 days of my life. Take this as a compliment, since I chose to spend these days on your game, cause I liked it!

REACH THE CORE WITHOUT TURBO: Start all over again, but don't buy the Turbo at all! (That is why it is said " for maniacs") omg, I am freaking, cause I am tempted to start again...

Is there a false value at the lava infiltrator? It makes no sense that you have just "20" thermo defence and you need to get a lot of ressourcen to just increase it by "5" - doesn't even make sense.

The Core: The Core is just the yellow plasma area. So after you passed red lava you have already reached the Core! (Took me some time to find out aswell, hahaha)

Use gold drill, purple hull, and the second best engine along with an energy shield. Upgrade those, and you can reach the core without using turbo.

It's best to use a gold drill and and the purple hull. I upgraded both of those and reached the core without using turbo.

A realy nice game but finding technologypoints gets pointless very soon and (maybe its just me) its a bit irritating that the blue crystals are the rarest resources compared to the amount you need
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just to clarify it to people, there are two different statistics, resources mined and blocks collected. A useful way to get more blocks is to go at a shallower angle, around 60 degrees from downwards. This allows you to collect more blocks at once.

Wait... lasers... did the BUGS build lasers?... Underground O_o.. The bugs obviously made from adamantitium to be able to destroy a massive mining ship.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I need to be able to buy little bots that zip out and get gems, like the bugs do (so that programming is likely already in place). Let me upgrade them and if they're not fast enough, they can't go more than x spaces away from the ship. That would solve a LOT of the grindiness in the mid to late game.

"reach the core without turbo component".. so.. I have to unload the turbo component? and how I'm supposed to remove the turbo component??

2/5, -★ overly grindy, -★ obnoxious/repetitive soundtrack, -★ mine radius. Fix the mines instead of arguing with user feedback.

Progress is very slow... i even cheated to have infinite money and with all upgrades i couldn't notice any great improvement on progress. I think the game needs a rebalance.
