I've cleared every room beneath the sky. And I believe the factory (grey tiles) is the only way up. So here is one tip. Don't go up the factory unless you're sure you will not go back down again. There are some rooms you really don't want to repeat running.

Oh yes, wandering around a whole bunch of mundane, similar looking rooms spending a good 80% of my time simply trying to figure out where the hell I'm supposed to be going; totally my idea of an enjoyable game! Forget action or excitement, who needs such silly garbage? Not me, that's for sure! Last time I played mario on the NES I was up all night sweating and shivering from the amount of intense action I experienced, so this is right up my alley! Anyways, sarcasm aside, does anyone else have a problem where your directional keys randomly stop responding while pressing them? It's really, really annoying when your char just stops dead mid jump for no reason. Then again why shouldn't the controls be frustrating, that kinda matches the entire game itself.

It's really good. Here's what I didn't like: 1) I beat the factory fair and square but there was no obvious way back to the castle other than beating it again when I had to go back down to get more hints. I think better fast travel would make the game better. 2) I think the castle shouldn't require every clue. There should be a couple different ways through so that if you missed one you can still get through. For example have the cellar have an exit that skips solar or something like that so if you miss one of the tower clues or solar you are still OK. 3) Instead of collecting gems we should be raping and impregnating bitches.
minor spoilers: here's where I found the clues for the castle: desert, hell, forest, factory, heaven, billboard. you can probably google them if you need the exact hints

Started out really cool. Then I got the ability to move freely, and thought it was an excellent switch in gameplay. Then it turned into a gigantic maze that gives me no real sense of direction, and a map that only fills w/ identical colored blocks. Lost interest after about 5 minutes. 3/5.

Well, oddly enough shutting off the sound seems to have potentially helped somewhat (not entirely though) with the keys periodically failing to respond while holding them down. Not that that helps at all with the whole being painfully boring and uneventful thing this game suffers from though. I'd just stop playing, but the completionist in me can't quite seem to do so when I'm part way through.

If you wanna try and brute force your way through the tower, go North, West, or South based on this combo: SSSWWWSWWNWWWSSWSWNWNSWWSNWWNNWWSNSWSSNWNWSWNSSWNNSWNSNWSNNWWWWWNNNW
As it doesn't matter when you start the combo, and the exit is always to the west (based on the map), this makes it much faster (and easier) to brute force the combo. And yes this was the shortest such combination I found.

*Starts game like:
"Huh, this reminds me of VVVVVV looking at those conveyor belts, but maybe that's just me."
*30 mins later:
"OH MY GOODNESS THAT'S VIRIDIAN'S HEAD SLIDING AROUND, WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?? AND WHY IS THERE A HAMMER AND SICKLE FLYING ABOUT?? WHAT IS ANYTHING RIGHT NOW!?!?"
*An hour in
"I am so lost in what I'm trying to do... But I still love this game! Must keep going!"

"Gods earn statuses we steal, eagerly strangers we strangle and dwellers escape taboos, gaining infamy. Indifferent, the escapees old are." Must be shameless adverting. I have no clue what it means and neither does Google.

Nice, all places explored (except 9 at the sky), all gems, the secret gem (obviously, because it counts toward the 30), the secret place that has that ugly demon-like thing, the place with boobs (nice drawing), the entire hell, all portals, melancholy marvin (didn't understood that but its okay), and i think it's all.
Great game, at the start i thouht it was a common game of logic, but then, when finished that everything after this point was a giant labrynth!
At the start of the game, i saw everyone saying about hell, i thouht this part was just hard... that wasn't just hard...
Writing down in a paper those positions to take helped me a lot, being that i one there something like 7 times (5 times unecessary)

30/30 and melancholy Marvin? I ended up with only 8 blanks on the map, all in the sky around the castle area. Still all in all a good game!

Took me the better part of two days, but I've finished it! The gem's secret is a really great wrap for the game. Is this place even real? :)

I did the game and i got all gems, and i don t want to play again all areas... can somebody tell me cordinates of the secret ?

"It's a secret to everybody." Finally found the last gem. Well, it wasn't that hard to figure out once I had all but one gem. Actually writing down where each gem I found was helped a lot, and then it was just to cross it off once I actually got it.

Very nice map CluelessWonder. There is a secret way for accessing the blank case under the "help me". You have to go through the wall of the left adjacent case. The "fake" wall is not at the floor level, you must jump from the upper case. This room is hell type with lava, text and a draw, no teleport and no exit but the initial entrance.

Just another tip (spoiler?). There are two rooms without an entrance, but you still can enter. One has a gem. I am only 1 gem away from revealing the secret, but not really in the mood to go through every room again looking for it. Good luck to you guys.

Got stuck able to move only in one direction on one of first screens, deadlocked between spikes and a respawn point. Maybe it gets better later on, not going to find out ^^'
