Either I got the hang of it or I just had total luck because I defeated the final boss on the first try. I failed on the 2nd and 3rd boss afew times though.

This is really cool and has great art. The Defense and Counter gems would be more fun if they decayed over time instead of only lasting one turn. Defense is totally useless and the only good part about Counter is the AI is too dumb to not trigger it.

I beat the boss first go. I only got defeated once on a different enemy that glopp thing.
If everyone else has immense trouble at this boss i feel like a pro.

Beat the boss on my first try, I got two fivers, used one on counter, and let the boss use the other on physical damage, did like 1000 damage on the third turn.

I really didn't have hard time on that boss. Focus on defence/counter and when u cant, use attack or magic attack or whatever it is, so he cant attack you, and you'll be fine. :) 5/5

Agreed with unholybunnyman about the last boss, to an extent. If you concentrate entirely on defense and counters, it IS easy...which is fine when those pieces are on the board. Not so much when they aren't.

Final boss is just fine. Yes, you won't be able to beat it everytime, but even without any grinding, I'd estimate my odds of defeating it at about 30-40%

Very nice game, but as many others pointed out the last boss is INCREDIBLY tedious. Victory is just luck there (and to me that meant a 100% defense + 432% counter when he rageattacked me = instawin). Still funny though :D

well i tried and i tried until i reached try number 50 or smthing at the boss and than i was like f this but its not impossible almost had em a few times but that aint nof

i dont understand, why is everyone saying that final boss was hard? i lost once then realised if you concentrate entirely on defense and counters its a breeze!!! game is amazing 5/5 from me, keep up the good work :)

Cool little twist on the match type game. Balance is fine IMO. Its a good little time waster that had me entertained for a few hours.

The heals in the final fight are worthless, they heal for 21 points. You'd need about 5x of them to shake off one of his specials.

Oh what a coincidence, my enemy removes some gems and a row of four special attack gems fall down and give him a super duper ultra bonus combo which knocks me out instantly.

Found a bug. Every time I have had defense of 100% then attack for X value, if the opponent has a counter, they will hit me with X% and get through my 100% defense.

The comments on how to beat the last boss are hysterical. They all come down to - just always have defense and counter. Yeah, great, but the only matches on the board half the time are energy. I'm *really* tired of "no more moves, reshuffle...."

Sorta weird the commentary going back and forth here between people that think the boss is too hard and people that think he's fine. I've beaten him 3 out of 7 tries now with all three characters, none with full upgrades. Still using the +Defense, +Counter strategy.

really enjoyed the game untill the last boss. i went through game after game of being raped by the rng, where sets of 4 or 5 would fall literally fall onto the screen nearly evertime the enemy had a turn. i eventually managed to take the enemy down to 84 health whilst being on near full health. what happens? an epic combo for him where 4s, 5s and Ts literally fell into the screen, resulting in a combo that demolished all my health

You get an extra turn for matching 4 gems. So if you match an "L" shouldn't you get an extra turn since you just matched 5 gems?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's so satsfying when you have 100% defence and 124% counter, and the last boss gets a x14 combo with full rage finisher.

I'll be quite honest, I didn't find the final boss all that challenging.
Defense & Counter will always dominate, beat him first time. Maybe I got lucky but I don't think so.

Gotta love the luck aspect, the rhino owned me three times in a row and I didn't get his HP under 400 because he was getting insanely lucky with combos and off screen setups then I beat him with full health remaining when I got the luck.

The game balance is pretty bad unless you're lucky. Even if you hit big combos if they aren't the proper blocks you could still lose.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
luck plays almost to much of a role in the boss battle, but i guess that is sorta the whole thing with these types of games
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game has less to do with skill and more with pure luck. The AI isn't that bright, and it doesn't even improve as the levels progress. What changes the difficulty is that the monsters gain more health, and damage.

I don't understand the medal system. I kill the semifinal boss in 2 turns, taking only 15 damage and I get silver. I scrape through a match taking dozens of turns and I get gold. Please make sense! Also, luck plays a very important role.

Have beaten the boss a couple of times, but must have lost dozens of times. Frustrating. I wish I could give the "OMG it's easy / use this strategy / I beat it first time!" lot and the "I have never had the chance to try that strategy because I get no combos / defensive jewels / specials!" the exact same boss game and see work out if the latter group are either rubbish or unlucky.
