joannawww, you should check profiles first. I started the game before those two and I have far more friends and followers than them. I've been a prominent member of Kongregate and a professional game reviewer for many years now.

A trade mechanism needs to be added/opened for early game. I have a ton of copper, but need iron to get the next gear upgrades. I should be able to trade in the copper for iron. Or just make iron more available in the game if it's such a necessity. Also, if we need to have 568 gems to upgrade a recipe, make them more plentiful also. 1 per battle ain't gettin' it... The game is getting more interesting since my first post, but it still needs a lot of fine tuning.

I understand it's an idle game but c'mon, this is a snoozefest... If it it weren't for the crafting, I'd be face-first on my keyboard. I like the premise though, it has potential. Keep working on it.
I uploaded a .004-5 update today that tweaks current income/price levels, should smooth out the experience and eliminate some of the early-game progression walls.

Maybe a little tooltip when you hover over an status effect to see what it does might be nice. I enjoy this game so far. Keep up the good work.

Heh, I like it most that Ottava is calling the more experienced and ranked players 'trolls' and 'play the game first' ;P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ottava: I don't see the reason for your complaint. This patch is like an unwanted prestige, yes. But from now on, every resource spent on enhancements will persist. That's a huge improvement compared to the previous system, where you lost all enhancements on every prestige
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
PS, Hisi and Oeffinger, when you troll, at least play the game first to see that the "fix" broke a lot of stuff, such as not marking in red certain things that no longer work and other issues. It was not an improvement at all.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"stuff prestiging doesn't hurt as much as before" No, that is a dumb move. If it was both equipped and future, fine. But punishing players like that is a great way to get them to leave. Why even try to defend something and sound so ridiculous in the process?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Ottava You can improve the forge recepies now instead and the upgrades persist between prestige runs. This change makes the first runs a little more difficult, but once you have upgraded some stuff prestiging doesn't hurt as much as before ;-).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Ottava: That's wrong. Enhancements are now bound to a recipe. In your next prestige, you can instantly craft a Sword+24 (for example) instead of enhancing the same weapon every prestige.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So, you can't enhance or awaken old equipment anymore. You can only do it for new equipment, which makes absolutely no sense. You "improved" the game by making most of the playing obsolete.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So if I've already invested the resources to enhance my weapon to +49, I need to do it all over again for the new update?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you're going to keep us re-rolling races, then you need to provide a way to gain XP way faster than what is currently implemented on re-rolls. Perhaps +25% (at least) xp gain for each challenge completed with that race? Up XP gains with the owl by a ton? It's too slow to re-roll and will be just as slow when you implement new challenges.

Prestige Point 12: Walking. Dude! Are you telling me those heroes cant even walk until prestige 12 and just sit there waiting for monsters to attack them???
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
nothing in this flat earth pisses me off more than when i get a quest that says kill "monster". JUST SAY THE DAM STAGE
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If your beginning progress is slow, always upgrade your weapon about 2 levels ahead of every other equipment, and then strength items. More damage equals quicker fights.

I think the prestige system is just fine. It is a bit anoying that you have to recraft your equipement and to relearn your skills, but the permanent bonusses you can get by presteging, and trying out other characters are worth it .
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Since I was confused by this also (based on misunderstanding some chat comments) and I see nutshell's post on prestige, I thought I'd throw this out there:
You do keep gear progress and crafting upgrades (prestige menu calls it recipe progress)... this was a pleasant surprise. Now grinding for materials after is still a pain, but not the end of the world.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So I've been playing for a few days now, but I'm skeptical about prestige. It takes a long time to grind up the materials needed for the equipment, which seems to be the main gate from progressing. Leveling doesn't really seem to affect my stats too much. At level 44 I'm still not able to clear Dungeon 2 which is supposed to be for level 35. It's not really clear which zones drop which materials either. I think maybe instead of New Game+ mechanic, maybe we can have character slots? You can drop the prestige mechanic entirely because at the moment it just doesnt seem worth it. I would consider prestige if I kept my materials, gear unlocks, crafting upgrades, or got something really unique in return for playing.

Hi there. Cute game. Some sort of tooltip that shows where mobs spawn would be useful. It says "kill 10 of Xmob but I have no idea which of the zones or levels those mobs are in. And combat is too slow to flit around looking for the right location.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think the crafting mats drop ratio to cost ratio is off. I cannot get the highest tier 1 sword before I can get the 4th highest tier 2 sword witch is MUCH better.

Game looks good, nice idle idea with some interaction. Forging is boring though, would like a 'forge all best possible button'. Also the idea of how to prestige is not relly clear from beginning, would like to know how to use magic as well - i got a fireball, now what? How do i cast it, how do I make my guy use it?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Prestige mechanics seem to be useless; why not just allow us one hero of each race that we can switch between? Starting over completely seems to be implemented just because that's what other games do...and it makes sense to do it that way in some cases, but not this one. Either give some sort of prestige reward that makes it worthwhile, or just get rid of the prestige in favor of simply switching heroes.

Great game so far - the only thing I am really missing are some mouseover infos explaining the impact of str, int, etc..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Dev, pls add buttons < > at left and right sides of battle screen for quick zone changing (prev/next). Navigation only via Map menu is annoying

The sort of game whose potential is extraordinarily hampered by the inclusion of a stumbling block, in this instance integral. Love the game; hate any kind of "prestige" that actively removes more than it adds, especially when so much is factored around not merely bettering your gear, but the incremental accrual of all the necessary components and artifact shards. The only real 'rebirth' element is for the different races, since everything unlocks in real time once conditions are met. It seems to unduly punish players and then expect them to go through the same arduous business all over again to rebuild their collections. As stated, love the game, but that first shockingly unrewarding, punitive prestige has utterly dissuaded me from coming back to it.
Thanks for detailed feedback, when designing the prestige system I wanted to avoid the common pitfalls of multiple quick runs a day and for players to focus on longer runs, more akin to new game+. So far people either really like it or loath it so I agree there is definitely room for improvement!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A surprisingly fun game, with much more content than I'd have expected. I'll definitely be coming back for more. And I hope to see it developed further too.
Added in patch .002, you can now hover over HP/STR/INT/END/WIS/SPD and see description of the stat and simplified damage formulas to better judge how the stats will affect your character!

I like it buuuuuuuut the Prestige penalty is to high ... having to do all the forging over and over ... pass also you should get to keep your current weapons/armour at least, having to do skills again- meh :( A shop to trade your cash with materials would be nice. Also add something to explain what the skills eg sth/wis/int etc do. Mission go kill 35 goblins ok so where should i go to do this?? your shop pricing is very good but the prestige stops me even playing let alone buying stuff 3/5 star .tnks
Thanks for the feedback, we do have plans to add some of the QoL you suggested, including stats explanation and a little guide where you can find each type of enemy.
