at what point does it get easier to complete 500 runes? i can go weeks at a time anf not get higher than 450. then cancel run and then waste more time trying to raise prestige's to fail again

niehAuS_324B21: you need to buy the individual rune autobuys each run. The autobuy option appears once you have five different types of boost (+ and - counted separately) and can show for any currently unlocked rune.

Automation has broken for me after starting run 002. It's definitely on, and it definitely isn't autobuying any runes. Flipping between "All" and "Next" makes no difference. Is this a known bug?

i don't get how to hit 300 occult. I've been stuck at 250 for a day and the numbers just aint goin up, it's like I'm capped at e19, but I'm tryna reach e24

@chaindeath I'm pretty sure that random reward off is the same as the fourth option on the prestige screen (the one under "Hate RNG?")

My recommendation for getting the 500 waters after doing far too much grinding would be on a run level 5 or higher. Make sure to try to aim for some bonuses on the run that'll make life easier like >150% magic runes bonus.

if its hard for complete run 2 just don't do it and farm 0 or 1 basically run 2 had to be done with magic runes not light they are way too expensive than what it give

timesaving tips, after first run don't invest in a extra mana rune. Go for othyer 2 stats. Don't go for watergod in run 2 but 3 or higher. Click once every 30mins in first days to get 1e13 on occult and lightning rune. Start witnh upgrading low until it becomes too easy before moving on to higher. A good startingpoint is reaching a full set of mana runes in 1/2secs. So 300 steps in 2secs max before doing firerune.

omfg, i just lost months of play. i had 60k bonus to fire, magic and earth, 30k to income and cost, and i finished a run, and before i chose a new run, the page reset, and now its saying i don't have any save

Update, I was finally able to hit 300 runes after updating regularly for another 8 days. My Occult stats were both e13 and the prestige level was at 100. Good luck and don't feel obligated to waste time on this nonsense.

the biggest problem with this game is how quickly it devolves from something you play for fun into something you are doing for the badge due to completionist tendecies

My strat for early game is to farm starting magic runes and mana until u can immediately get 25-50, then move onto higher tier runs for the higher tier bonuses

basically, do easy runs until it becomes too easy, then move on to slightly harder runs, repeat. worship is the reward for waiting, ignore it. And finally, if u dont like a game solely about watching numbers get bigger, move on.

The scaling in this game is insanely poor. OOC, can anyone who's reached 300 Occult runes shed some lights on what stats you need? I've been over 200 for days now, but I'm nowhere near close to 300.

I had spent over a month trying to get the Hard badge out of sheer compulsion. I just opened the game to prestige and all my progress has been lost. 0 chance I'm doing it over again. 1/5 is being generous for a "game" with some serious scaling issues.

I know it's no longer the BOTD at the time of writing this, but Kong really did everyone dirty by making the medium badge the first day XD For future BOTDers: Click settings, click 'abort current run' if available (if not, you'll have to finish the run you are on; tip: PRESTIGE, do not wait), if you are not presented with a run that says '002' at the top, keep clicking the reroll button until you do (I recommend a run that asks for '300 Occult Runes' or something like that), then complete the goals until you've reached the end goal and then manually save. Make sure to give yourself several hours to complete any and all of these badges. Yes, you can save the game and come back to it, just don't delete your cookies or your temporary files before you've gotten the badges that you're going for; the game will do a hard reset and you'll lose all of your progress... which is exactly what just happened to me (I already got all of the badges, though, so I'm good to go). So I had auto-prestige on but random reward turned off. I was expecting to see the usual choices come when it auto-prestiged me, but instead no bonuses were applied?!?! Am I missing something?!?!

Hopefully either dev adjusts values to make it more easily achievable in the timeframe in case the badge shows up in the future or kong changes the badge.

Idle games as BotD are ok if it isn't some grindy impossible thing. If your idle game doesn't take so long to grind in the beginning a lot of people will jump ship fast.

This "game" if you can call it that absolutely needs to be cheated. Fortunately the way import works means we can ALL share. I can't post links, but you know what you need to do... Utterly criminal this somehow has a score of 3 with so little effort put in.

Just as an update to my previous comment. Saved data was lost from the last BOTD, and I've spent the better part of 7 hours babysitting this junky game and haven't managed to get past run 001 yet. How in the world is someone expected to get this badge in a single day?

I give up. I had a head start. I did a few runs before. I started Run 002 thinking I'll be able to complete it to get the BOTD. It turns out I'd need to wait for over a week to be able to complete it. I wasted so many hours on this run it's too late to do multiple easier runs to get enough buffs to even have a chance.
The only way to get the BOTD from 0 is to play for like 15 hours straight while constantly babysitting the game. So if you want to start right now it's already too late.

Said it when this game was up in march and say it again now. Terrible game, terrible badges, and no real instructions or hints on how to progress unless someone has said it in the comments. So tired of all these idle badge games for BoTD

"second run" is not the regular prestige, it's more like a *super* prestige where you lose all your prestige points. see the goal that says "200 light runes"? yeah, when you do that you get the choice to end your current run and start run 002.
