By the way, Winrost is right: the badge description is misspelled. It should say "Magic Runes", not "Mana Runes", but that's to be expected when badges are now a desperate "filler" being flooded out, ratings be damned; quantity over quality, eh? That seems to be the new popular niche in almost every aspect of most games in general ever since Flash ended. Not just internet games either, what remains of console games is following some alarming trends.

And here we are, continuing the trend of either being too lazy or conniving to make numbers increase when leaving the game's window or tab. It's a simple feature, as I've seen it in every game with anything like that all the way up to recent years (which isn't that long, considering the total time Kongregate has had games with timers/counters like this).

If you have 200 of each item, the 201th Magic Rune will take 27 YEARS to earn. Good luck beating this game legitimately.

I pressed "Buy prestige" on accident without realizing that I have to would start over. When I read that it would reset the game, I wanted to cancel, but the game doesn't let you cancel?!? Very bad design choice

Wow, this game is bland, bacic and boring. Number goes up, buy upgrade to make number go up more. It's not even easy to see how much you'll actually get when you upgrade if you forget the money per rune, so you'd have to calculate it.

BOTD is just the 1st tier Magic Runes. Have to save the game in the bottom right hand corner for numbers to register. Overall, another junky 1 star idle game that no one plays other than to get a BOTD. Hell, most have at least a bit more flavor text in them than this junk :/

Yep, this supposed easy badge is endurance medium, or hard outright, and takes two or three days to complete. Waste of time and space, one star.

why do games like this even get BOTD? its just tedious and there is a thousand other idle games with more content than this sad excuse of a game.

OMG. I wasted HOURS on this trash trying to get to run 2 because I thought maybe the "mana" runes were there. Thank you @KRMorben.

So I completed the 1st big objective to get 200 light runes and all I could do afterwards was reset it all, to start from scratch ... with NOTHING! And that got me an unbelievable 11 Magic Runes toward the easy badge. That took me about an hour with a clicker, that let me hit the reward button 10x instead of 1x (concentrating on buying Light Rune upgrades whenever they popped up).
I have no idea how much time I would need to invest for 100 Magic Runes, nor will I ever find out. Do forget to rate this!

There's also a weird, but helpful, bug where clicking any type of reward (whether from prestiging or the bonuses from finishing a run) can be applied multiple times if you click the button quickly enough before it disappears. The frame window is really short, and I could only get 2 presses out of it. Still, double the bonuses means less time spent on this less-than-mediocre game.

My strategy for the mid-game was grinding runs 1 and 2 until I could comfortably do run 3, and then grinding run 3 over and over. Eventually, run 3 took about 15 minutes to complete. I did run 4 occasionally, but the actual ROI compared to grinding run 3 was NOT worth it. When I was ready to tackle the hard badge requirement, I did run 4, and then I got a lucky roll into run 7. I never did any nature rune runs, but that might have been a mistake, idk. 200-300 rune goal runs are eventually quick (15 minutes), 400 rune goal runs are long (1+ hour), and 500 rune goal runs are extremely long (1 week+).

I finally got the hard badge. This should have been an impossible badge, or the requirement should have been far lower. That took way too long. Over a month, easily, with some dedicated grinding sessions. As other people have said, this game has scaling issues. The first runs take a long, long time, and then they start getting faster. Focus on "gain X% more mana from Y runes" and then cost/income prestige. I finished the hard badge on the 500 Deep Runes run, and my end bonuses were about 2k% in both income/cost prestige, and about 3500% in all rune income for the first 4 runes. Never playing this game again.

If you only upgrade Magic and Fire runes, after a couple prestiges don't even unlock Earth, prestige with 50 Fire runes and your only upgrade choices will be Magic and Fire. Upgrade only Fire until you get to about 2000% and you can start getting 50 Earth to prestige. Upgrade Fire and Earth, get Automation, and prestiges will start happening in seconds.

To get the Easy badge, I had to go to "Settings" and then "Save Game" when I had 100 Magic Runes. It only counted the progress of that badge when I hit Save Game.

Easy Badge is wrong, it only counts the Magic Runes and not all Mana Runes... also I found I had to go into settings and save the game before the badge would register how many I had
