OK done EVERYTHING i can got 100% all the way up to tier 39 (including 39, bloody hell that took a while) hint use top and bottom of tier for most of 39. tier 40 still not working!!!!

There's something awfully linear about the progression. Around tier 18 I had to use altar for several tiers, but mere one mutation upgrade afterwards (the ^9 one), I've only bothered to use the altar twice in the next 20 tiers. Just now, tier 37, I had 4 mutations in the 5 hours I was afk.

Actually, another interesting phenomenon that may or may not be related: Breeding two clovers with seven Tier 40 petals sometimes results in a full Tier 39 clover. These are most likely Tier 40 clovers that have been reverted to Tier 39 for some reason. So is this a bug or is the next upgrade required?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'd like to restate this because the newer comments buried this, but there is a strange phenomenon at the end of Tier 39 - trying to accrue a pure Tier 40 clover at the Altar results in the entire clover going back to pure Tier 39. I do not have enough money for this, so thank you to everyone who reported it, and my deepest sympathies for you.
It seems that the next mutation upgrade, at full museum output, will take another 23 hours of game time. Is it actually possible to get a pure Tier 40 by natural mutation or do you have to get this next upgrade?

How exactly do you get a tier 40 clover? I fully mutated a tier 39 clover with the altar and it turned back into a basic tier 39 clover.

To get missing clovers -- you can use the breeder, and "slowly" generate the one you want. Simply change out the ones in the breeder to be more and more like the one you want. CAREFUL -- anywhere the breeders are the same is most likely to end up the same. So if you want the top left to be green and the rest to be pink (and you are going from green to pink), only pick breeders with the top left green! The optimal thing to do is have 2 of the same breeders and just change one petal at a time. In this way you can breed (for free) the missing clovers, and then clear your breeder for other uses.

The new improved crossover of leafs encourage you to specialize certain features in clovers to fill the museum with all permutations. Although the sloppy selling functionality for single clovers remove this possibility.
I have 2 fully colored clovers of the next tier, but doesn't have any free breeder to insert them (without removing a breeder finding the missing permutations of another lower tier). That puts me in a position to either wait for random permutations with 1 full next tier and 1 previous tier, or to specialize the clovers to match the missing permutations.
The second alternative is not possible (it's possible, but timeconsuming) because of the selling mechanism in the game. When you get a few clovers per tick then selling all these unwanted clovers, while keeping some of them, is a hell.
Add a modifier to sell clovers instead of picking them up by holding down ctrl.
Thanks

ezuli, in the first game ppl suggested adding a pause button for breeders. Just skip to use it if you feel that you don't want to, though it is useful when moving clovers between breeders, and when trying to get specific mutations to match the rest of the clover

Nicely done, but I'm getting bored in the middle and there's a long way left to go. I'd like to have something develop as I go along, perhaps special missions to make certain hybrids or something.

I'm impressed by how closely the developer listened to suggestions and comments in the last game and added those items here. Pause button, a use for gold in later levels, storage — all excellent additions. I think I'm seeing some different game mechanics (clovers seem more sensitive to deliberate breeding for certain leaf patterns, for instance) that make it distinct from the last version and give us a welcome learning curve.
If I had to complain I'd say that some of the tiers could use higher color contrast (I had to rely on guesswork for the early stages of tier 24) and I definitely miss the higher speeds of the prior version. I suspect I'm in for days of waiting, whereas I enjoyed that it was an idle game I could be fairly active in when I wanted.
Overall, really liking this so far. Thanks for the huge update.
Thanks a lot for feedback, the first revision of clover colors should be available later today and I hope it will improve readability on most Tiers people have problems with!

How about some offline progress? I mean, everyone is complaining about the game being slow (and they are right) and this would help by a lot I think

I see the same problem as in the last game. I'm at the first of Tier 29 now and it takes forever for the next mutation. The next mutation chance upgrade takes even longer. the new altar is too expensive. And there are more tiers coming where it will be even harder.
I'm working on adding new ways of earning more gold/science so you can more easily progress by both upgrading Mutation Chance, and using gold to upgrade through Altar.

At the current rate, it will take me over a day and a half to earn the next mutation upgrade, assuming I let the game run constantly. Bruh.

Tip for completing the 255 types of a tier: rush to the 100% of the next color, and combine it with the tier you want to complete. Exemple:
green+blue = all green and blue types.

I'm extremely disappointed. I wanted to keep a pure clover of each colour in my storage, but there are 40 tiers and only 30 storage spaces. Shame on you for having too much content.

We should be allowed free movement of clovers from breeders. For example if i want to move one into the storage I should be able to without having to pause. Also I'd like to be able to move them directly from storage to a breeder.

Minor suggestion: on the upgrade tab, move the gold display to the left so it's under the column of things to buy with gold instead of being under the column of things we can't buy with gold.

Why do two clovers the first completely blue and the second all blue except one green continuously combine to make clovers that are mostly green?
