This one is a nice game with an interesting story. Unfortunately, the developer has never released the second episode :/

That was a fun little game, took a lot of trial and error, but that is how I usually do these types of games. I enjoyed the graphics and lighthearted theme about it. I hope that you continue this series and look forward to more. These are my favorite types of games, and they seem to be in short supply lately.

I have to admit Im not the greatest at this kinda games. Im stuck on first level. gas shut down, robot up, computer fixed. I have a corck and knive left in inventory and a hole to plug over computer. Hole - cork No??Spent last 20 minutes clicking and matching all spots with bth items. Result = nothing and me getting bored

I can't believe I have to combine the batteries so to make 2 of them - only then can I give them to that dude. He can't accept one first and wait for another one?

Failure text should never be deceitful. When I try to plug in a cord and the response is 'Oh I don't want to", it makes me think I'm doing something wrong. When I'm not, I just having completed all the steps first. NEVER outright lie to your player about stuff like that. All the puzzles felt like nonsense.

Cool game, i appreciate nice point and clicks, as others said it's be better to have a smoother interface but it wasn't that disturbing i think.

it will be nice if we can fast forward the dialogue in the intro and ending. pressing the next button seems to skip it to the next scene and i'm not into waiting for the text animation to fade in.

I generally like puzzles , and there is much i like in tjhis one, the general story idea and the graphics fx, but i feel the "puzzles" i this one are more illogical then my taste can accept -resulting in it all becoming a guessing game where one have to just try every item all over the screen. For me its annoying. The items were not to hard to find, but the handling of the cursor is too rough and the items/inventory is "not optimal"... :-/ ... im giving it 3/5, more for its potential then anything else. Would love to see a slightly improved version or part 2! Take care! :-)

10 minutes of guessing on the first screen and I have a gear and a knife in inventory, the lever tied down, aaaaand... that's the end. Another point-and-click, another brief and disappointing experience. This just is not my genre.

nice game. loved the graphics and the story. the puzzles were nice - not too hard and not too easy but the save-riddle was a bit too unfair. even if you get the idea to use the melody it's hard to copy it. so it mostly ends in trial and error. would like to play more episodes.
game reminds me a bit of deponia. And btw. - great treasure planet reference!

I like it! I agree that the current inventory setup is cumbersome. In the next episode, I would like to see the ability to talk to Tink as a hint system as well as flavor text.

Very cute game! The steampunk feel you went for is great and I absolutely adore the artstyle. The music is cool as well. I can't wait to see the next episode <3
So glad you enjoyed it! :D We're hard at work on Episode 2, which you can find out more about from our website (https://www.worldofanova.com/) and also our Patreon page (https://www.patreon.com/montigames).

spoilers----- I tried to move the arrow on the button clicking various places and it never moved at all, ended up having to click the puzzle piece button which apparently just solves it for you. Seeing the computer rotate the thinger was very frustrating when it hadn't let me manually do that.

Stuck with a battery, button, and disc. tried it on multiple things and also combining. bit bored now, thought it would be better to get hints

Fun game, but a couple of counter-intuitive decisions (like having to combine the batteries when they could be used seperately), and the auto-solve button wasn't working (which was a shame because the engine minigame was frankly brutal.) Otherwise, really good.
Thanks for the feedback! We're making good progress on Episode 2 now, and we'll definitely keep things like this in mind as we continue building it out!

"Trying every random combination is admirable, but sadly, this doesn't work."
Yeah well sorry young lady but if I have no damn idea what the hell I'm supposed to do after clicking everything for 20 minutes well yeah of course I'm going to try that long cable on some machine. How about SOMETHING would give you SOME KIND OF A HINT as to what to do? No, what you get instead is "This spring has sprung ... HA! I made a funny!" ... Come to think of it, I don't even know if I unlodged that one item that was lodged back there.
Thanks for the feedback! We don't want to give everything away too easily, but you're not the first to suggest that we could put less confusing hints in place - we hear you, and we promise, we're listening! :D

monti, i usually enjoy your games, this one i did not, it's not intuitive at all, difficult to deal with, slow, badly sized, i mean i really enjoy your music and the effort into the art. the gameplay on this one was way below what we expect from you guys, did it even get playtested?
What other games of ours have you played? Sorry this one wasn't up to what you were expecting, but feel free to send us more details - we're always looking to improve! :D

very nice game , dont like the auto solver as hints are usually the better option , over all very pretty and intriguing game well done
Thanks for the kind words! We didn't want players to be permanently stuck, but once we have an option that's always available to auto-solve a puzzle, it's hard to really restrict it too much. We're still thinking of other ways to make this more optimal, but thanks for pointing it out so that we don't forget how important it is to really nail this down! :D

Walkthrough: Try taking or using everything you can click on. Then start using everything in inventory on everything.
Many of the "puzzles" in the game make no sense at all, starting with the first first task to shut off the smoke. So yeah, the walkthrough is to just blindly try everything until eventually you "win".
Have you tried a different browser? Not sure why it would be stuck, but feel free to send us any details about your system/setup and we'll look into it!

Everything feels like trial and error. Is that supposed to be flavor because that's Violet's approach to life? Also, the item-failed-to-do-anything text could really at least let me know that I'm headed in the right direction. Couldn't Violet have said something like "it's too short" or similar?

The two batteries are:
1 battery on the flying robot,
1 battery in the drawer inside behind the desk.
You're welcome :)

The UX leaves much to be desired - having to drag off the screen to try an item 10 times. Very disappointed that you have to do things in "order" - i.e. an extension cord + an extension cord to connect a power source to a machine can be put together in multiple ways - except in this game. How was I to know the machine controlled the hook and that I need to get power to it? Plus, it already had power (thus the POWER BUTTON I used to "fix" it.) Transitions were way too slow, also. A great start for a first game, but lots of room for development.
Thanks for the honest and detailed feedback! We're considering all the possibilities for how to improve the UX and playability as we make progress on Episode 2! :D

Not too bad! Gameplay is occasionally a little counterintuitive, but the artwork and music are *beautiful.* If I could change just one thing, the electrical machine puzzle wouldn't kick you out every time you chose a wrong path and lit up an orange or red light. That got kind of annoying after a while.

And I'm stuck. I've unlocked the engine but I can't get it out of the shop without waking the other pirate and I'm missing parts for the broken equipment outside.
Thanks! We wanted to start small to make sure we were moving in the right direction, so we plan to make Episode 2 a fair bit larger than the first now that we've gotten such great feedback!

Wonderful game and one of the very best. The puzzle was intriguing.Loved It!! Can't wait for the next chapter (s) coming out. Two thumbs up

This game would benefit from instructions in the puzzles. Something like "match the wave lengths by turning the dials" and "adjust the direction of the power to light the green lights" at least.

I like the art of the main girl, but there's too much moon logic. I'd be okay with less puzzles, for more art and story.
Thanks for the feedback! We're definitely going to be developing the world of Anova even more, so you can expect to find more art and story both in the game and outside of it, too! :D
