It's not very good at predicting how many syllables there are in a word, is it? I know that's not the strict definition of what a Haiku is, but it's what the rules state so it's what I expect.

In all honesty, while haiku does have a fine tradition, it's important to be able not to take a casual haiku-inspired gave like this too seriously. Some suggestions for improving the rules: give us more concrete goals and vary them more. I like "Don't use the letter 'G'," but "Use as many 'G's as possible" is too vague. "Use at least 15 'G's." "Use the word 'paper' in line 1 and 'thrifty' in line 3." "Use at least 3 names of animals." I'm sure you can think of some more rules, too.

Has any other game on this site has ever provoked complaints about arbitrary rules or a lack of some kind of peer review system? A healthy break from the usual shooting things and jumping on stuff, says I! Stars galore.

It should have multiplayer like apples to apples - 1 player judges x number of poems to pick the winner, and everyone should have a turn to judge.
