I like CCGs, and the reviews for this game were great, so I had high hopes for this game. Sadly, at this point I'm an hour-plus in and I have yet to actually see any strategy. Battles don't have any player interaction, so most of the game is me just sitting there watching the game go by at 10x speed. I'm assuming the actual gameplay is supposed to be in the deckbuilding, but I don't have enough cards for that to be meaningful yet.
How long am I supposed to "play" before I get to the gameplay?
yrudoy, have you tried advancing in the arena or coliseum against other players? I think you will find that there is a lot of strategy in the deckbuilding aspect of the game. The game is very generous with both gold and gems, so it shouldn't take you long to get a decent collection together to get to the 'meat' of the game. Agreed though, we need to work on the early experience and make this more apparent somehow.

One of my biggest pet peeves is that in games with a "currency producer", you have to log in every day to get the currency, but if you don't the producer still counts down. Thank you for storing currency produced while offline and giving it all to the player the next time they log on.

I love how fast this game is growing, im not one of the beta players but i came in version 0.6 or 7, i can't remember since you update so frequently, but for a game i only log on once a day its become one of my favorates, i love the direction you are taking it and i'm looking forward to whats coming next, good job :D

it would be nice if there were more options to organize cards in deckbuillding, like a tab for all the cards in your collection instead of just one faction. It's also a little annoying that you can only see a few cards in your army at a time and you have to keep scrolling up and down to sift through them. It would be better if you could see all of the cards at the same time. Props to your game btw, i'm very impressed with the quality and your responsiveness to the playerbase. I'm rooting for you.

good card game. reminds me of Tyrant. too bad we don't get to explore deck building until we're deeply invested. Maybe newbie decks with trash cards that basically get the "feel" of the factions? Also there's this unshakeable feeling that this game has changed significantly after player complaints. Was it energy based before chest unlock mechanic?
hi taco, yes I am working hard this week to bring out more strategy in the early missions so that players 'get what the game is about' as soon as possible. And yes, I have been evolving the game mostly based on player feedback. There was an energy system originally but no longer.

The automatic game play makes this game feel like I'm rolling dice, and the only decision-making is how to rig the dice in the beginning. It could be fun if there were strategy involved in the actual battles.
It's a common point of feedback jadedgeek, though I would argue that the autobattle shifts the strategy to the deckbuilding and makes the game more casual/accessible than most CCGs. I think you will find there is plenty of strategy once you have a decent base of cards.

As mentioned in the top comments, this game is of very high quality. Thus I cannot rate it under four stars. Nonetheless, I'm not a fan of automatic gameplay. I believe in card games decisions and special abilities make for an amazing variety of gameplay. This game sadly reminds me of an app I used to play for a bit before it became boring, which name was Deck Heroes.

-Just started playing the game, and played for about 40 minutes
-Noticed there was a card combiner, and decided to use it
-Combined together two swordsman
-Switched back to army/deck view
-Clicked the new cards to put in army, and with every click I lost 2 gems
-Lost 12 gems before I realized what was happening
-Quit forever
We just released the feature yesterday Elah, so there might be a bug in there somewhere. Happy to refund the lost gems, will send them to you in an in-game mail if you decide to play again!
hmm not sure how to exactly shatan. I'll start a thread in the forums about it for comment, if we can come to a consensus about how it should work, I'll happily put something in.

I wish I could actually choose which cards come out first when there are numerous at the same time. Having a healer at the front lines is just stupid.

Good game, bot so much donate, good cards = donate, craft cards = donate, packs = donate, imba dragon cards = donate, donate every where. It`s not will be good, i know, donate it`s good for developer but here it`s SOOO MUCH.

This is a good game, but I feel like the opponent gets to go first more often then the player(me). Is it just me or can you improve that, or maybe you can make an item that lets us go first no matter what, and we could like do that once a day and then pay to do it again.

So you get like Super Sayen of your card with + attack and + health.

At first I thought this game was pretty fun. But after a few days of playing it I realized that the fact that you cannot interact with combat and it resolves automatically is a big problem. It's basicly just throwing together a deck of the best cards that are available to you and watching your luck onfold while praying to RNGsus. Gets boring quickly sadly. It has some great mechanics and potential, but I feel like the lack of stuff to do in the heart of the game - the fight - hurts the gameplay alot.

I second everything Tiruin mentioned in her comment. I for one also loved the concept of Warstorm. And this is similar, an overall enjoyable and addicting game with nice mechanics. I have tried out maybe 40-50~ ish similar card games but this one has that little extra to it.
After playing it for a couple of days, gaining most stars in campaign mode, it might seem like there is a small lack of variations in content. However, considering the amount of time and effort the developer puts in to changing things and coming up with new features, I can only say that I look forward to seeing what this game has in store for the future :)

This reminds me greatly of another game (sadly gone) called Warstorm/Planetstorm--and is indeed credited as inspiration in the background. All forms of currency can be earned in-game, and the devs are constantly working on it with open feedback. The initial load is quite long, and may seem to not load on slower connections, but succeeding loads are quick and easy. Great game and story, no indication of typos as far as I see the campaign, and it is simple for casual play. Ranks at the top with the best CCG on Kongregate is what I can say. :)
Yes, I was the lead designer and exec producer for Warstorm. I wanted to bring it back to life after Zynga killed it, so this is pretty much the 'spiritual successor' to it (sadly I don't own the IP). Glad you're having fun!

This game is good. But it would be REALLY awesome if you could actually do something to actively direct the actions of your cards in battle. Oh the in-depth gameplay and strategizing that would be possible!!!

If the legendary card 'Elder Cinder' gets weakened in any way (either from weaken ray or the weaken skill) he won't use his skill 'fire storm'. Very annoying, especially since he doesn't have any attack to begin with.

seagully, please try to find me in chat. If I'm not around the best thing to do is to open up the 'developer console' in firefox (control+shift+k) and make a post in the forums about what you are finding there, it will definitely help us solve the problem. On chrome its menu->more tools->developer tools and make sure the 'console' tab is selected. Sorry for the bugs!

Not bad indeed, good art simple but very clean,nothing new in the ccg type but decent mechanics, you have to grinding a little but so far no paywall found and no energy, you play as you want...so far very enjoyable i would love to play this in android ,on pc there are game more interesting to play for me in any case "KUDOS DEVS"..!
