3) And fading out the color of the tile doesn't provide much contrast in a string of 10 or 15 tiles, why not reverse the colors when a tile is completed (white or gray out the background and change the actual numeral to the color for easy reference)? Again, like conceptis. 4) Large puzzles begin to lag by the time I'm done, clicks sometimes aren't recognized or actions take too long to show up. And there's no quality button.

those 50/50 puzzles are pointless ... absolutely pointless. They are an endurance and lack any kind of wit. Instead of presenting something interesting and something work completing, they are like a turd that has been squeezed flat and stretched in length.

ahhh-ha! AHHHHH! I had a puzzle "completed" the clue rows and columns were faded out as if everything was correct, but the puzzle was not being counted as solved. After a frustrating few minutes of trying to figure out what was going on, I saved and quit out, then reloaded the same puzzle. Now the clues are working again, and I can solve it properly *flies away*
It's a known bug we have been unable to replicate on our side. The issue are the clues becoming faded when they should not. If you manage to trigger it again please post details on the forum or send them in a bug report.

Need to have a way to hide/unhide finished row/column which also automatically adjust the number at the edges. Sometimes you know the row/column will not contribute anything anymore and it's just an eyesore. Heck, the toughest part of the puzzle is to not get irritated by all the X and colors.

...50x50.... 50x50... FIFTY BY FIFTY. I... you..... WHY? why are you doing this to me, I... I HAVE TO DO THEM BUT.. BUT SO LARGE.

It would be handy to have a tab in each game for puzzles you have started or have already completed (read: ones that coins have already gone towards). I think I started working on a puzzle made by a user, but the particular user has so many puzzles on the list that I can't for the life of me remember which one it was. Having a single spot where I can look to see which ones I've spent coins towards would be pretty great for a forgetful person like me :)

Love the game 5/5, but there are some sort of puzzles i really hate - stoked puzzles. They easily recognized - every row and column starts and ends with same color (usally black) with many colors between. Most of pokemons have this black or white stroke.
Problem with them - after you find a "clue" (4/4 red pixels for example), you can just fill column or row contains this red pixels with all other colors withot gaps, cause 99% stoked puzzels have not gaps between colors, except for stroke color. So i just click pixel by pixel without thinking - they are super-boring. I know i'm asking to much, but would be great to filter them out, cause they are not "puzzels".

It's kind of disingenuous to claim you can get coins from making puzzles when they have to be voted up by the community--my last four puzzles have been rejected, and the four coins a day from rating puzzles only gives you one reasonably difficult puzzle. I've stopped trying to create puzzles because they simply disappear, no matter how technically proficient they are.
There's only two of us so it's impossible for us to check all the puzzles ourselves. The voting system helps keep the overall quality level of the puzzle library and does a great job of keeping offensive puzzles out. It's not without flaws however. We often try to "save" puzzles from the reject pile when we feel they were too harshly judged by the community, but the recent onslaught of new puzzles has made that more difficult than usual.

Great game, but it runs way too slow (at least on the Mac). In larger Picma Plus puzzles (30 x 30 and higher), the game needs several seconds(!) after filling a tile. Very annoying. I think you can do better!

Very nice game, but it's a true pity that you NEED to use hints in most of the puzzles with 30*30 squares or bigger. How do I suppose to start a puzzle when not even one single line can be completed with some safety?
There are NO puzzles where a hint is needed. There are simply some very hard puzzles in the mix. If you're having trouble with any specific puzzles feel free to post in the forum and I'll try to give you a jumpstart.

Gotten to the point where I'm rating down all the pokemon simply for unoriginality. Seriously, we get that pokemon are made of pixels. Stop duplicating each other already.

Is there a way to clear my progress? Would be great to be able to replay a puzzle without seeing the end result first

You know what's really disappointing? Not being an artist in the slightest, spending a lot of time and effort to look up images and making something. Having the joy of having it accepted, and it suddenly disappearing. Thanks developers.
In order to provide a better experience for anyone solving the puzzles we try to keep the images as unique as possible. In order to help us achieve this goal we have recently developed algorithms that allow us to find similar images in the puzzle database (where before only exact matches where found). As a result we have been removing some of the duplicates that had already been accepted. Ideally this would be done before the images were even turned into puzzles but due to the sheer number of existing puzzles that approach simply isn't feasible. We're sorry that you feel understandably disappointed but it couldn't be helped.

as a colorblind guy i find it kinda hard to see the black number on the dark red, white would be a better "colorblind mode" color for those numbers
Thanks for the feedback. We'll change it to white in the next update. Due to the different types of colour blindness it's hard to find a "one size fits all" solution. Doesn't stop us from trying though. ;)

The "Games II" category of Picma Plus is currently unable to scroll past the second page. I know there are more than two pages, because I solved one on page three yesterday :P
We're developing new algorithms to track down similar images. Yesterday saw the demise of about 1% of the existing puzzles - a couple of them were in that set which caused it to malfunction. I've replaced them and everything should be working now.

I absolutely love guildys' idea, a 'reveal the next by logic solvable tile/row' hint button seems so more useful. You still get to solve the puzzle the way you normally would, and you don't have to guess where to use your hint for it to actually be helpful.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Curious - are you legally able to use any of the copyrighted images? Some of the pixel art is quite good, like the Pokemon.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hints are ... well super helpful, maybe just a little too much... Did you think about a small hint feature (only a square to give certainty?). What about a 'why don't you start here?' hint on included puzzles? Getting start is often a problem on 50x50 :)

What is the feasability of a Viewing mode? You know, so we don't have to replay the whole puzzle to see it full size again?

So you charge money for content that you get basically for free? On a site that's already ad-supported? I normally love the Picma puzzles, but this feels like a straight-up money grab. On the plus side, the free ones kept me busy for a while.

I love playing this during my free time. I need more 50x50 puzzles! Sure helps me procrastinate. ;) Sadly I have 2 kids so I don't have the money to get a subscription! Otherwise all my money would get sucked into this. Love it. 5/5. :)

Some sort of ranking system for puzzles that have already been approved/are playable would be nice. Even just a "yes I liked this puzzle/no I didn't" indicator so we can see which puzzles other people think are really good before we spend coins to play them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i think it would be really cool to see stats of how many people have played your puzzles after they've been published
We have a huge amount of stats planned, but that feature is almost at the end of our roadmap. There are many other more vital features we need to implement before we can get to it. They should be fun to see though!

Using the mouse wheel to change colours would be cool. Don't know really if it is easy to do so or not, but if it is... DO IT! :)

if you ae worried that you are adding o many options, make a lrge list of otions to turn on and off in each of the three odes on new tab under options
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've found the changing between colors in the Links mode to be quite jarring. It would be great if there were some change or option that could lessen this.
We'll consider it, like the previous suggestion for the Plus mode. At the very least every sensible suggestion like these is added to a list and usually implemented as soon as we find a good solution for it.

Thanks for the reply :) Also, if you're worried about too many options, maybe make those right/bottom hints a bit transparent? :)

I often get interrupted in the middle of playing games: that is the life of an adult. The "you were disconnected" messages feel like I'm stumbling over DRM of some type, despite my "sin" being that I have a life and don't click constantly on the game.
Once a puzzle is in play, why would it even care how long I'm idle?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I know it's a useful thing and all, but I'd appreciate the option of turning off the right/bottom hints or what you call them, because sometimes I can't see what I'm doing because they're in the way. But don't get me wrong, I still friggin' love this game :)

Thanks for the info. One more thing. Is it possible, in any way, shape or form, for anyone to do ALL the featured AND archived puzzles without a subscription?
The Featured puzzles are very doable (although we need to add new sets asap), the Archives are (much) trickier, but given we're now reaching 30.000 puzzles finishing them all would be a full-time job, with or without a subscription!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
two things.
One: is there a way to reduce the 'chugging' on the bigger puzzles?
Two: I have three puzzles in moderation, the oldest of which I am fairly certain has been so for quite a bit more than 72 hours. Any way you could offer TWICE daily voting bonuses, encourage people to speed things along?
The bottleneck during this weekend was us. We need to run the puzzle creation process at the end of moderation and we were at ComicCon Portugal for the last three days. Things will get back to normal over the next few days. We're also working on several performance tweaks that should be pushed into the live version in an update or two.
