Using WASD for movement and not including the arrow keys or allowing to change to other keys for movement pretty much makes it while not impossible,a large pain in the bottom for anyone who is left handed to play.

It's been a unfortunate trend recently that there have been some games with excellent artistic style and solid programming, but ill-advised gameplay mechanics and level design that ultimately make it repetitive, uncompelling, and boring. Eternal Red, Rage 3, and now Red-Code all suffer from this. The game looks beautiful, is wonderfully animated with great designs, but is slow, repetitive, and boring. 3/5 unfortunately, but very pretty to look at. Better than a lava lamp.

Gets easyyl boring.
In addition a defender game shoudl always have a goal.
And a Pumpgun that is ot able to kill THE EASIEST ENEMY with one hit in melee is no pumpgun...
2/5 here

I /would/ have given it a 5, but, by level 10 it was lagging so much that it was completely unplayable. I suspect it is because you are drawing all actors on the whole level, rather than just the ones on the screen. If you were to correct that (and add more types of monsters, some visual/audio difference when weapons are upgraded, etc.), it would ROCK.

Not a bad little game. Smooth controls, no lag. Got kinda crazy trying to switch between gun blast types for each type of bug, though... need a special grenade or some type of periodic award to help fend them off... I got to lvl 20 at 13101 points. Vulcan just sucked balls due to lack of ammo. Grenade was often my only saving grace to back them off.

Vulcan dont reload fast enough. when monsters come to the ship its almost too late. And only upgrade vulcan and auto shoot wount work

It starts out fun but it gets boring fast. It would be better if there were ways to heal and other things to help, like calling for a drone flyover that kills the current wave or something. Also the hot keys did not work for me which made it a problem

Its alright but it needs a quality control. and all I could do is laugh at Pat87's comment, there may be more kinds of keyboards, but qwerty is the most common.

Died on lvl22. Initially, looks like all $$ to the rifle is the best way to go. The vulcan sucks old underwear and the auto is either blind or stupid, maybe both. Balance with a few grenade upgrades. I'm curious if the bugs are easier to kill from some angles? Got laggy at the end. Ditto Deli about wanting to know what the upgrades get you.

Good, but the vulcan runs ouit of power too fast and the learning curve of the levels is a little steep, but i liked it and faved it with a 4

I made it to level 21. Almost gave up at level 19 out of boredom. Like a shitty late night movie, I kept hoping it would get better. I think it either needs an ending other than the eventual over run of your ship or a change of environment. Good idea, not quite the best execution. It would also be nice to know exactly what upgrading the weapons actually do instead of just getting a new green dot on the status display. Good idea of giving the weapon several modes of fire. Level 8 shotgun rules. Needs more bugs or new levels.

Good game for a shooter. Needs a save game feature. Simple but not easy with enough variability to keep you interested.
