are you still having the problem? I don't know what the problem might be, it hasn't happened to me yet and not too many people have reported it. Let me know, and thanks for checking out the game! Hopefully it works.

interesting game. the crazyness at the end, along with the clues given at the last day are rather intriguing although i think i know what's going on (the guy is locked up in a mental asylum and he just *thunk* that's he's on a tiny island?? just my personal view at things anyway...) anyway, i believe that some tweaking on the graphics, along with more things to do, would greatly improve this already good game. looking forward for the next weeks and please, hurry! :-P

Wait...
Was I going THAT crazy I that I believed the only way to get coconuts were by using a bowl, not just grabbing it off the ground D:?

An interesting if somewhat surreal story, to me a little reminiscent of LOST. I'm definitely intrigued and wonder how this story will develop.

Very compelling and interesting story. I am sort of a fan of the mspaint art, even though I know it is out of necessity, it is oddly engrossing. My favorite stories have always been ones about crazy people, so I look forward to seeing his "descent into madness". Some of the minigames are a little unresponsive (I will click on a fish and it won't react for a little while, stuff like that) but I am the kind of games are art hippy that will sacrifice gameplay for a good story and interesting design.
Can't wait for week 2.
Thanks so much for the comment! This is great motivation to get working hard on Week Two, and it means alot to someone like me who is still just learning how to make games.
Thanks! The higher the rating, the harder I'll be forced to work on Week Two, because I really want to get it done as soon as possible if there is interest in the game. It seems like quite a few people have enjoyed it so far, so I'll get working on Week Two right away.

also, when you walk off the screen long enough in the coconut game, you should appear on the other side. since the Island is round. and small. and you're walking around it. and not into the water, where you drown.

creator its not a bad game, the story is kind of unique at least, but the minigames...they are so terrible (catch 25 coconuts and that lasts 1 day..is your guy morbidly obese or something your stomach couldnt hold near that many..in total you take 55 from the tree..what?) but hope to see the next 1 soon

you should send the player to the main menu after day 7... I spent 3 hours before I realized that was the end. thought there was some random one pixel I had to click to get something to happen. and you should put something like that as a nice easter egg for the players ;)
After you have the daydream on day 7, there is one more thing left to do. After that, there's a small cutscene with some credits, and that's the end of Week One.

Although I was a bit disappointed with the ending, I enjoyed the premise of the game and the minigames. There was a bit of difficulty clicking on the fishes and adding the spiders and eels from the arcade version of the minigames to the main game would make it a bit more challenging.
I think I'm going to play around with it a bit and add some new stuff to the mini-games. Thanks for your suggestion! I'll definitely add the spiders/eels into the in-game versions when I get a chance. I'm mostly just working on Week Two now.

Last but not least though, I do have some difficulties clicking on the fishes. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't. Thanks...Rating: 4/5...
Never! This is just getting started, and I'm really glad to hear you'd like to see it keep going! I'm a beginner when it comes to making games, so the positive feedback is really great motivation. Thanks!
Thanks! It really makes me happy that people are enjoying the game, and it was helpful that you pointed out the long load time. I was able to fix it just by changing a few simple things.

Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out the first part of The Ocean Around Me. If people like the game, I will begin work on Week Two right away so that I can release it before Christmas. If you enjoy the game, please rate it up and let me know what you think!

fabulous! 5.5/5 :)
Now, I feel a little tired. I should go and play the resting part again...
And dream about week 2.

The story is very compelling. I look forward to the upcoming weeks.
I also love that completing the story opens up the minigames for free play.
